Myrtice B. Lanier
MURRELLS INLET -- Myrtice B. Lanier, 92, formerly of Albany, Ga., died Sunday, June 1, 2003.
She was a native of Henry County, Ala.
She was the widow of James Marion Lanier Sr.
She had lived in Murrells Inlet with her granddaughter for the past 15 years. Before that, she had lived in Albany since 1932. She retired from Belk department store with more than 50 years of service. She was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Electa Lanier Drake of Maringouin, La., Leslye Lanier Beaver of Murrells Inlet and James Marion IV of Boulder,
Colo.; a sister, Juanita Brown Lewis of Edison, Ga.; six great-grandchildren, James Earl Price of Boulder, Electa Allyson Beaver of Murrells Inlet, Ava Kathryn Beaver of Murrells Inlet, Charles Robert Beaver Jr. of Statesboro, Ga., and Denham Lee Coley and Caitlin Dale Coley, both of Maringouin.
She was predeceased by a son, James Marion Lanier Jr.; and a daughter, Bobbie Faye Lanier.
The family is at 1503 Seventh Ave. in Albany. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Patmos Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Baker County, Ga. The Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate.
Susan P. Mancuso
MYRTLE BEACH -- Susan Patricia Mancuso, 48, of Emerald Lakes, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at home.
She had lived in Myrtle Beach since 2000.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Mancuso; a son, Michael Mancuso; a daughter, Tricia Nance of Longs; a brother, Donald Melton of
Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Devan Nance and Dylan Nance.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Florence National Cemetery.
McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach is in charge.
A. Eugene Newell
JOHNSONVILLE -- A. Eugene Newell, 84, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Durant Newell; his children, Darlene Hyman and her husband, Roy, of Surfside Beach, Sarah Kunkle and her husband, Terry, of Cross, and Randy E. Newell and his wife, Lounette, and Joey Newell and his wife, Nancy, all of Johnsonville; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Morris Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Power-DuRant Cemetery.
Doris M. Smith
CONWAY -- Doris Mae Smith, 67, widow of Charles Blake Sr., of Mums Drive, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.
She was born in Horry County, a daughter of Mary Gleet Small and the late William Daolphus Small.
Survivors, in addition to her mother of
Pennsylvania, include two daughters, Peggy A. Ham of Marion and Mary Sue Martin of Conway; a stepson, Charles P. Blake Jr. of Conway; a brother, Grover Small of Conway; three sisters, Margaret Highley, Shirley Matthews of
Pennsylvania and Jenny Lamb of Arkansas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Donald W. Alford; a brother, Layton Small; and two great-grandchildren, Phillip Austin Bailey and Michael Chase Bailey.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Vaughn Shoemaker will officiate. Burial will be in Stephen's Cemetery.
Eileen R. Blue
PAWLEYS ISLAND -- Eileen Regina Blue, 83, of The Lakes of Litchfield, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at The Lakes.
Arrangements will be announced by Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.
Curtis P. Cannaday Jr.
CONWAY -- Curtis Paul Cannaday Jr., 65, of Wandering Way, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.
He was born in Shelby, N.C., a son of the late Curtis Paul Cannaday Sr. and Maude Elizabeth Crowder.
He was an Air Force veteran of Vietnam, receiving three Distinguished Flying Crosses and 19 air medals and was a master navigator and electronic warfare officer on the B-52 bomber.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Cannaday; three aunts, Hattie Crowder Calton of Rutherfordton, N.C., Aileen Crowder McKinney of Forest City, N.C., and Ruth Crowder McSwain of Carolina Beach, N.C.; and many cousins.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. The Rev. Kirk Lawton will officiate.
A graveside service will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Lillie M. Graham
GEORGETOWN -- Lillie Mae Graham, 65, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph; three children, Maj. Vernon, Veronica and Angela; two sisters; two brothers; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
