Edward J. Stelmach
CONWAY -- Edward J. Stelmach, 86, of the Homewood section, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at Loris Community Hospital after an illness.
He was a World War II veteran and a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Betty B. Stelmach; a son, Edward; three daughters, Josephine Jackman, Andrea Mayo and Colleen Chrycy; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; several cousins; and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel, is in charge.
Beth D. Steward
SENECA -- Beth DuBose Steward, of Mount Vernon Drive, widow of Harry Todd Stewart, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.
She was a native of Floyds and a daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie Floyd DuBose.
Survivors include her daughter, Kappy S. Jorday and her husband, Whitey, of Seneca; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Edith Ford of Conway.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clemson United Methodist Church.

William D. Bentley
MYRTLE BEACH -- William D. Bentley, 38, of Hawthorne Lane, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at home.
Arrangements will be announced by Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory of Myrtle Beach.
Isaac E. Case
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH -- Isaac Edge Case, 89, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Myrtle Beach Manor.
He was born in Georgetown, a son of the late Homer M. and Mollie Ann Edge Case.
He founded Ocean Drive Water and Fuel in 1947, and it is still operating today. He served on Ocean Drive City Council and was a charter member of the Grand Strand Masonic Lodge No. 392 AFM, where he served as worshipful master and secretary. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach and founded the Isaac Case Scholarship Fund. He was a charter member of Ocean Drive Lions Club and past president of the S.C. Propane Association. He loved to fly.
Survivors include a son, Louis Edward Case of North Myrtle Beach; a granddaughter, Amanda Clair Rafool of Denver; two sisters: Mary Case Stanaland of Ash, N.C., and Mildred Case Holmes of North Myrtle Beach.
He was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle Elliott Case; a brother, Dwight Case; and two children, Janet Case and Charles Allen Case.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. The Rev. Harold Mitchell will officiate. Burial with masonic rites will be in Ocean View Cemetery.

John Causey
MYRTLE BEACH -- John Causey, 81, of Grace Lane, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at home after an illness.
He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Daniel and Roda Causey.
He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he was an usher and choir member. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Evelyn Causey of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Freida Crawford of
Missouri; two sons, Jim Causey and Lonnie Causey, both of
Missouri; five stepchildren; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Tom Swilley and the Rev. Billy Hackett will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Georgette B. 'Sue' Gibson
SUPPLY, N.C. -- Georgette Booth "Sue" Gibson, 70, of Oar Avenue Southwest, died Sunday, April 13, 2003.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brunswick Funeral Home in Shallotte, N.C.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brunswick Island Baptist Church. Entombment will be at 3 p.m. in Cumberland Memorial Park in Fayetteville, N.C.
Carrie L. Gordon
MYRTLE BEACH -- Carrie Lee Gordon, 76, of Buckley Court, widow of Joseph T. Gordon Sr., died Monday, April 14, 2003, at home.

Ernest H. Harrelson Jr.
LORIS -- Ernest H. Harrelson Jr., 76, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the Loris Community Hospital after an illness.
He was born June 15, 1926, in Nichols, a son of the late Ernest Harrelson Sr. and the late Bessie L. Floyd Harrelson.
He was the grandson of Benjamin Frazier Harrelson and Narcissus "Narcy" Faircloth; and Joseph P. Floyd and Lola D. Todd.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean conflict. Tours of duty included being a transit guard in Panama, a court recorder at Quantico, Va., and as a business instructor at the Marine Corps Institute in
Washington, D.C. He was retired from the Boston &
Maine Railroad Corp., where he served as the online sales manager. He also was a member of the Loris First Presbyterian Church.
He loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed making people laugh, and he was always trying to help someone. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and was involved in genealogy for many years. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, the James E. Hobart Sr. Detachment No. 1036, and served as junior vice. He received many citations for his meritorious service, belonging to the Order of the Devil Dogs and being selected as Marine of the Year.
Survivors include his wife, Edwina Spiess Harrelson, of Loris; and three sisters, Amelda Anne Timmons of Claiborne, Md., Juanice Martin of Germanton, N.C., and Oneida Prince of Loris.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Wayne Harrelson.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hardwick Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hardwick Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Westlund will officiate.
