Albertha W. Hemingway
WAMPEE -- Albertha Wilson Hemingway, 82, daughter of the late Jacob and Abgil Wilson, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at home after an illness.
Survivors include five daughters Geraldine Davis, Jerily Hemingway, Deloris Evans, Evon Cox and Sharon H. Rogers; five sons General J. Hemingway Jr., Perry Hemingway, Michael Hemingway, Delbert Hemingway and Dexter Hemingway; a brother, Perry Wilson; a sister, Lula Mae Scott; 35 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at Latimer's Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Popular AME Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Wayne C. Henderson
LITTLE RIVER -- Wayne C. Henderson, 66, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at home on the waterfront.
He was born in Wilson, N.C., a son of the late Homer and Dolly Brown Henderson.
He was an Army veteran. He had lived on the waterfront for 66 years where he was a commercial fisherman in Little River. He owned his own fish market and restaurant. He loved to take Girl and Boy Scout troops on Waterway trips to help them explore. He was one of the original members who started the Blue Crab Festival in Little River.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Henderson, of Little River; a son, Derek and his wife, Stephanie, of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; five brothers O.D. Henderson of Albemarle, N.C., Bobby Rae Henderson and Bruce Henderson, both of Little River and Jackie Henderson of Loris; two sisters Hazel Pinson of Willinston, N.C., and Carolyn Causey of Little River; a special buddy, "Reebok"; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lee Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Walter Mintz will officiate. A scattering at sea will follow aboard the Hurricane out of Little River.
Honorary pallbearers will be James L. Anderson, Danny Juel, Kelly Ward, Tim Ketner, Harold Hickman, Terry Cofey, Kenny Parish, Steve Spero, L.D. Benton and Bobby Brown.
Lee Funeral Home and Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is in charge.

LORIS -- Moddie "Alec" McZeke Sr., 83, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Loris Community Hospital.
Visitation will be at the home of Moddie McZeke Jr. on Watson Street.

MIAMI -- Robert Stephen Mills Jr., died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003.
Survivors include his father and mother, Renee Sherman; his brothers, Benjamin Wills Mills and Henry Aaron Mills; their mother, Orna Mills; aunts, Betty Anne Mills-Bultz and Montie Marion Mills; cousins, Marc, Montie and Taryn; and grandmother, Freida Smith Mills.

Charles E. Sitterson
CONWAY -- Charles Edwin Sitterson, 76, of Ivy Glen Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Conway Hospital.
He was born in Virginia, a son of the late Charlie and Clara Belle Dishroom Sitterson.
He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Mason Lodge # 65 AFM and American Legion Post 111. He was an Army veteran of World War II, an avid golfer and worked at Wild Wing Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Sitterson, of Conway; one son, Mark Sitterson of Liberty, Mo.; two daughters, Kathy Higgs of Manassas, Va., and Cynthia Legg of Winchester, Va.; two sisters Edna Mae Boyce of Chesapeake, Va., and Mildred S. Dorson of Virginia Beach; a stepson, Samuel Joseph Doyle Jr., of White Oak, N.C.; five stepdaughters Melissa Gause of Myrtle Beach, Jeanette Mansfield of Chesapeake, Judy Vincent of Apple Valley,
Calif., Patsy McCracken and Gwen Eckersley both of Conway; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Stanley and the Rev. A.D. Grainger will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- William "Grady" Thomas, 79, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Wanda Scott Thomas; two sons, William "Bill" Thomas Jr. and Kenneth Thomas; his daughter, Julie Whitman; a brother, Frederick Rosser; five sisters, Virginia Newman, Leona Bullard and Juanita Boroughs, Mary Thomas and Helen Hinesley; and three grandchildren.
Veterans Cremation and Burial Society in Clearwater, Fla., is in charge.
Hal Buck 'H.B.' Todd
CONWAY -- Hal Buck "H.B." Todd, 73, of Old Reaves Ferry Road, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.
He was born in Conway, a son of the late Zinnie Webster and Bertha Ann Anderson Todd.
He was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed by B & R Painting Contractors, Inc.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Johnny Webster Todd and Junior Davis Todd.
Survivors include a brother, J. Kirby Todd, of Conway and his wife, Sara; three sisters Betty Lewis and her husband, Charles, and Gussie Strickland, all of Conway, and Dollie Boatwright of Myrtle Beach and her husband, Donald.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
