CONWAY -- Mary Elizabeth Hilburn Curtis, 59, of University Forest Circle, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at home after an illness.
She was born in Myrtle Beach, a daughter of the late Sparkman Henry and Mary Alafair Singleton Hilburn.
She was predeceased by a son, Michael Dean Curtis.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Brice Curtis and Richard Del Curtis, both of Conway; two daughters, Teresa Hardee of Myrtle Beach and Cindy Sexton of Conway; a brother, Henry Hilburn of Myrtle Beach; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. Dr. Wayne Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

SUPPLY, N.C. -- Carl Hughes Holden, 83, of H & H Road Southwest, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Brunswick Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.

MYRTLE BEACH -- Irene M. Klee, 83, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Grand Strand Health Care after an illness.
She was born in Springfield, Mo., a daughter of the late William and Bessie Wooten Tebo. She was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include a son, William E. Barden of Warsaw, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kelly Morgan of Chandler, Ariz., and Kirk Barden of Warsaw, Ind.; and a sister, Lottie Brininstool of Chandler.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Cemetery.

CONWAY -- Doretha Parker, of the Bucksport section, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003, at Conway Medical Center after an illness.

Gloria Grace and Charity Faith Scoles
SOCASTEE -- Gloria Grace and Charity Faith Scoles, twin daughters of Adrian and Rosalie Long Scoles, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, in Conway Medical Center.
Survivors, in addition to their parents of Socastee, include a brother, Nathaniel Scoles; maternal grandmother Rosalie "Tincy" Long of Surfside Beach; and paternal grandmother Carol Scoles of Oklahoma City.
They were predeceased by maternal grandfather John Long; and paternal grandfather William "Bill" Scoles.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Agape Christian Fellowship. Burial will be in Ocean Woods Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

William H. Smith Jr.
SOCASTEE -- William Harry Smith Jr., 72, of Forest Brook Road, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after an illness.
He was born in Horry County, a son of the late William Harry Smith Sr. and Rhoda McCormick Smith.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a lifelong member of Socastee United Methodist Church, where he once served as superintendent of Sunday school, member of pastor's parish committee and treasurer of the cemetery committee. He was also president of John Wesley Sunday school class and was a lay leader of the church. He also served as a conference representative for the Methodist church. He was a member of Socastee Lions Club and served as treasurer for the Horry Telephone Board and manager of Socastee Voting Precinct No. 3.
He was predeceased by a sister, Inez S. Turbeville of Murrells Inlet.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia Smith of Socastee; a son, William Harry Smith III, and his wife, Sandy, of Socastee; three daughters, Ann Keebaugh and her husband, Allen, Ronda Joiner and her husband, Ken, and Beth Tucker and her husband, Mike, all of Socastee; seven grandchildren; and four sisters, Leona S. McCormick and Elwood L. Marro, both of Socastee, Loraine S. McDaniel of Charleston and Geraldine S. Bone of Columbia.
