Rosa T. Cox
CONWAY -- Rosa Tindall Cox, 94, of Morgan Road, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Conway Nursing Center.
She was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Jim and Ann Wallace Tindall. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Julius Furman Cox.
Survivors include two daughters, Rozina West and Peggy Pryor of Conway; a son, J.D. Tindall of Conway; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Jerry Phillips and the Rev. Buddy Seay will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mary Curtis
CONWAY -- Mary Elizabeth Hilburn Curtis, 59, of University Forest Circle, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at home after an illness.
She was born in Myrtle Beach, a daughter of the late Sparkman Henry and Mary Alafair Singleton Hilburn.
At 8:37 p.m., the angels took you home. For days, we watched you struggle having to leave your children. For, in our life, you were always there. You were our mother, our father and our strength. Your main role in life was a caregiver to all. You gave to others when you had nothing. You taught us unconditional love and selflessness. We will not say goodbye, for we will be together again. Until then, we know you are with us in our hearts always. We were blessed to have you and honored to call you Mom.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Brice Curtis and Richard Del Curtis, both of Conway; two daughters, Teresa Hardee of Myrtle Beach and Cindy Sexton of Conway; a brother, Henry Hilburn of Myrtle Beach; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Dr. Wayne Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mikaela M. DeBari
MYRTLE BEACH -- Mikaela Maria DeBari, 20 months old, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Conway Medical Center.
Survivors include her parents, Sheri and Jamie DeBari; a brother, Caleb DeBari; a sister, Kylie DeBari; mother and paternal grandparents; and a great-grandmother.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.
The funeral will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ida W. Dungey
CONWAY -- Ida White Dungey, 84, formerly of Weaverville, N.C., died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, in Conway.
She was born June 16, 1918, in Buncombe County, N.C., where she had lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John Pless and Lily Calloway White.
She was the widow of James Dungey, who died in 1978.
She had been a resident of Myrtle Beach and Weaverville since 1982. She was formerly employed at Hadley's of Weaverville and later at Qorum. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Longs.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Ponder and her husband, the Rev. Jim Ponder, of Myrtle Beach and Dottie Sluder of Weaverville; four grandchildren, Rick Sluder, Sheila Bell, Missy Sutton and Jamie Ponder; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Herman Sluder.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, and at other times at the home of Dottie Sluder on Dula Springs Road in Weaverville.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Kenny Todd, the Rev. Daniel Bell and the Rev. Jim Ponder will officiate. Entombment will be at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.

Don E. Elliott Sr.
GEORGETOWN -- Don E. Elliott Sr., 56, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1946, in Wilson, N.C., a son of the late Paul Elwood Elliott and Margie Ree Bowers Elliott.
He was an employee with Sampit Lumber Mill. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Navy Club in Georgetown. He was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church and the adult Sunday school class.
Survivors include his wife, Linda R. Elliott; a son, Don E. "Woody" Elliott Jr. of Georgetown; two daughters, Melissa L. Bowden of Inman and Jessica I. Elliott of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Sierra, Autumn and Paul Bowden and Nathan Howell; a brother, John A. Elliott of Wilson; a sister, Ina E. Marsh of Georgetown; his in-laws, Logan and Nell Rogers of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Graham Funeral Home in Georgetown.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Clide E. Glover Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Dr. Fred H. Fellers
CHAPIN -- Dr. Fred H. Fellers, 86, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003.
He was born in Newberry, a son of the late Holland Orlando and Rose Harris Fellers.
He moved to Columbia at an early age and attended Columbia City Schools. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, pre-medical honor society, serving as its president for two years. He received his medical degree form the Medical College of South Carolina in March 1943. He was a member of Phi Rho Sigma fraternity. After completing his internship at Columbia Hospital, he entered active service with the Army. He served on the surgical staff of the 30th Station Hospital in Panagar, India, for a year. He was transferred to the Ninth Station Hospital in Okinawa, where he served as chief of surgery for 14 months.
Upon discharge from active duty, he completed a three-year surgical residency at Columbia Hospital, serving as chief resident during this time. After this, he practiced general surgery in Columbia until retirement for health reasons in October 1976. He continued to do administrative work with the Disability Determination Division of S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation Department until 1981. Babcock Center was in need of part-time physicians to perform medical utilization reviews, and he accepted this position and continued until December 2001.
He was a member of the American Medical Association, Columbia Medical Society of Richland County and American Society of Abdominal Surgeons. He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was a member of the Executive Club of Columbia for many years, serving on the board as president in the 1960s. He was also a member of the Columbia Sertoma Club for many years. He served on the board of the Lowman Home from 1994 until December 2002. At the time of his death, he was an active member of the Chapin Lions Club.
He was a lifetime member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. He taught Sunday school for several years and served on numerous committees and on the church council for many years. He was honored by election to Honorary Lifetime Membership on the church council. After retiring and moving to Chapin, he became an associate member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
He and his wife made two trips to the Dominican Republic with the Medical Group Mission of the Christian Medical Society to perform surgery on underprivileged people of that country. On the second trip, 16 of the youth of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, the associate pastor and youth adviser accompanied them. This was a most rewarding experience.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Johnson Fellers; three sons, Fred H. Fellers Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Columbia, Bruce Johnson Fellers of Charleston and David Charles Fellers and his wife, Pam, of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Betsy Fellers Taylor and her husband, Steve, of Columbia; and six grandchildren, Denise Fellers, Fred Fellers III, Kelly Fellers, Brenna Taylor, Stephen Taylor and Ann Taylor.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Holland Fellers Jr. and Frank Fellers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork chapel, in Irmo.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Columbia. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
