NEW JERSEY -- Cynthia Blain-Ayers, the daughter of the late Deacon Curtis E. and Elvina C. Blain, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Kennedy Hospital in
New Jersey after an illness.
She is the niece of pastor Laura B. Spain, Jayne M. Blain, Arthur D. Blain and Peggy A. Blain, all of Conway.

Rosa G. Bellamy
LITTLE RIVER -- Rosa Green Bellamy, 89, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Conway Medical Center after an illness.

Flora G. Carmine
MINGO JUNCTION,
Ohio -- Flora G. Carmine, 90, formerly of Myrtle Beach, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.
She was born May 24, 1912, in Mingo Junction, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Carano Carmine.
She was a retired lieutenant colonel with the Air Force as a nurse serving in World War II and the Korean War.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mingo Junction.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Faccuito and Rose Carmine, both of Mingo Junction; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Joseph, Victor and Daniel Carmine; and a sister, Elizabeth Gillette.

William T. 'Tom' Cartrette
LORIS -- William Thomas "Tom" Cartrette, 78, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at Loris Community Hospital after an illness.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris.

WAMPEE -- Melton Chestnut died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Seacoast Medical Center after an illness.

Josephine W. Dennison
GEORGETOWN -- Josephine Woodard Dennison, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003.
Survivors include her husband, Van Dennison; sons Willie, Roson, James, Perry and Rodney; daughters Mary and Barbara; and a brother, Leroy.
Visitation was Friday at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Dickerson AME Church. Burial will be in Greater St. Stephen Cemetery in Georgetown.

Enrico A. 'Rick' Faulk
CONWAY -- Enrico Alessandrino "Rick" Faulk, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003.
He was born Jan. 18, 1969, a son of Laura Frances Green of Aynor and Benjamin Scott of Trenton, N.J.
He loved his fellow man. His family and friends were so dear to him. He enjoyed making them laugh, and he treasured the time he spent with them.
He graduated from Conway High School in 1988. While in high school, he participated in the football and wrestling athletic programs. After high school, he joined the Army and became a paratrooper. While on active duty during a tour in Italy, he modeled freelance part time.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include four devoted sisters, Shawndra and Dawna Faulk and Shona and Crystal Scott; four caring brothers, Kevin and Christopher Foreman and Aaron and Brandon Scott; four aunts; two uncles; three nieces; three nephews; many cousins and friends; and a special friend, Vera McCleod.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in the Sandridge community. The Rev. Monford Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in Hemingway Chapel Church Cemetery.

Sara C. Fort
COLUMBIA -- Sara Carr Fort, 81, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003.
She was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Columbia, a daughter of the late Sarah McMillan Carr and Marion Carr Sr.
She was a member of Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia. She worked for many years at Seibels, Bruce and Co. after graduating from Draughn's Business College and University High School.
Survivors include Helen Carr Kent of North Myrtle Beach; sons James Donald Fort Jr. of Charleston, Marion Wilson Fort and John William "Bill" Fort of Columbia; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Donald Fort Sr.; and a brother, Dr. Marion Carr Jr. of Lake City.
Memorials may be made to Epworth Children's Home.
