Berneice M. 'Bunnie' Godsey
MYRTLE BEACH -- Berneice M. "Bunnie" Godsey, 63, of Briarcliffe Acres, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 21, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include the love of her life, Donald B. Ross; her children, Dawn Kohn of Oregon, Ohio, Debbie Rosek and her husband, Mark, of Lambertville, Mich., Laura Lee Fletcher of Oldsmar, Fla., and Cheryl O'Melia of New Jersey; and her grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jordan, Connor, Hailey, Eddie, Nick and Ryan.
Services will be private.

Mae C. Hardee
CONWAY -- Mae C. Hardee, 96, wife of the late Willie Oliver Hardee of the Good Hope community, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Conway Hospital.
She was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Austin and Tola Todd Chestnut and was raised by her grandparents.
She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by everyone.
Survivors include two sons, John Vernon Causey and his wife, Lois, and Carl Causey and his wife, Juanita, all of Conway; six daughters, Elise Booth, Myrtle Dorman, Hazel Singleton and her husband, Alvin, Jo Stevens and her husband, Paul, Della Buddin and her husband, Bill, all of Conway, and Sylvia Booth and her husband, Buster, of Loris; two daughters-in-law, Arlene Hardee of Laurinburg, N.C., and Allene Hardee of Florence; two sisters, Geneva Brown of Longs and Pauline Prince of Columbia; 34 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Hilda Williams.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Bath Causey; four sons, Elbert Causey, George Hardee, H.B. Hardee and Oliver Hardee Jr.; and a daughter, Gen Lilly.
Visitation was Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Good Hope Baptist Church. The Rev. Henry Yarborough and the Rev. Van Loomis will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Michael S. Jackson
MYRTLE BEACH -- Michael S. Jackson, 50, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 17, 1952, in Copiague, N.Y., a son of Patricia Hunter Bailey and the late William H. Jackson.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard H. Jackson.
Survivors, in addition to his mother of Myrtle Beach, include his wife, LaVonia B. Jackson, of Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Kiandokht M. Jackson of Myrtle Beach and Natasha Jackson and Tanya Jackson, both of Freeport, N.Y.; a son, Rashan V. Beachem and his wife, Temiko, of Lithonia, Ga.; a brother, William Jackson and his wife, Rita, of Frankfurt, Ky.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three aunts; two uncles; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 Wednesday at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the City West Cemetery in Washington, Ga.
Alfred I. Lewis
LITTLE RIVER -- Alfred Iverson Lewis, 69, of U.S. 17, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at home.
He was born in Little River, a son of the late Alfred Copeland and Essie Jones Lewis.
He was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Little River, where he served as a deacon, lay speaker, Sunday school superintendent and adult teacher.
He was a graduate of Little River Wampee High School in 1953 and started his own business in 1959, Ocean Drive Tile and Paint Co., which he operated until his retirement in 1997.
He was an organizer and charter board member of the former First Atlantic Bank of Little River and was a board member of Anchor Bank, which is now Carolina First Bank.
He received the Lion of the Year award in 1972. He was a former member of Ocean Drive Beach Lions Club, where he served as president from 1976 to 1977. He was an organizer and charter member of the Little River Lions Club, where he served as charter president from 1987 to 1988 and was recently honored by the club with a lifetime membership. He was also a former board member of the Little River Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Lewis; a son, Mike Lewis and his wife, Sheri, of Little River; a daughter, Kim Gordon and her husband, Joe, of Murrells Inlet; a brother, Arnet Lewis of North Myrtle Beach; a sister, Froneze Costner of Hanahan; and three grandchildren, Joseph and Eva Gordon, both of Murrells Inlet, and Spencer Lewis of Little River.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Little River. Dr. Stan Fields will officiate. Burial will be in Southeastern Memorial Gardens.

Charles J. 'C.J.' Livingston
LONGS -- Charles J. "C.J." Livingston, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be at 2425 Plantation Drive in Longs.

Elmer Addison
GARDEN CITY BEACH -- Elmer Addison, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Waccamaw Community Hospital after an illness.
He was born Dec. 2, 1917, in Hiram, Ohio, a son of the late James M. and Rose Nemish Addison.
He retired from Jno. J. Disch Co. in Cleveland after 44 years of service. He moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1922. He had been a Jehovah's Witness for 50 years.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn. He will be greatly missed by both his fleshly and spiritual family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; a daughter, Deborah Maddolin of Garden City Beach; three grandsons, Matthew Helfrich of Seattle, Jeremy Helfrich of Bozeman, Mont., and Nathaniel Helfrich of Gualala, Calif.; two granddaughters, Corissa Helfrich Floyd and her husband, Isaac, and Jennifer Helfrich, all of Bedford, Iowa; and his cherished pet, Kitty-Kitty.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3024 Holmestown Road, Myrtle Beach.
