She was born May 2, 1922, in Greensboro, N.C., a daughter of the late Emil W. and Sadie Stead Schlosser.
She was a homemaker and attended Trinity Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Duncan Trout of Wilmington, N.C., and Tom Trout of Asheville, N.C.; a brother, Emil Schlosser of Greensboro; and two grandchildren, August Lee Trout and Zoe Emily Trout.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Trout; a son, Peter B. Trout; and a sister, Wilfred Seager.

SHALLOTTE, N.C. -- Joyce Marie Walker Carter of Brierwood Estates died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003.
She was born in Rocky Mount, the only daughter of the late Irene Perry and Edward Dewey Walker Sr.
She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Perry, Isaac and Edward Walker Jr.
She graduated from St. Paul's High School on Young's Island and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a former member of The Pilot Club International and a very supportive volunteer for Brunswick County Schools and the Brunswick Hospital.
Survivors include two daughters, Dallas Leavitt and her husband, Chip, and Kelly Stanley and her husband, David; three grandchildren, Katie Leavitt, Tyler Stanley and her "baby" Walker Leavitt; two special sisters-in-law, Vonnie Walker and Hazel Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, 5005 Chapel Road in Hollywood.

James Dougherty
PHILADELPHIA -- James F.P. Dougherty, 66, formerly of Lansdale, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Albert Einstein Medical Center.
He was the husband of Mary E. Waldeck Dougherty. The couple lived in Lansdale about 25 years until moving to Surfside Beach in 1999.
He was born in Wildwood, N.J., a son of the late Cornelius and Mary C. Clancey Dougherty.
He graduated from St. Bonaventure University in Allegany,
N.Y., in 1958. He served a term of enlistment with the Army.
He served as controller at Hatfield Auto Auction in Hatfield and has held various positions since 1990.
He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Garden City Beach and a former member of Corpus Christi Church in Upper Gwynedd. He was a 25-year member of the Men of Malvern and a member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include 10 children, Maj. Eugene Dougherty and his wife, Angela, of Burkburnette,
Texas, Anne Marie Kilmer and her husband, Robert, of Philadelphia, James Dougherty and his wife, Maureen, of Midlothian, Va., Michael Dougherty and his wife, Sally, of East Greenville, Dr. Timothy Dougherty and his wife, Dr. Cathleen Dougherty, of Cape Coral, Fla., Maureen Carrasco and her husband, Richard, of Germantown, Tenn., Joseph Dougherty of Philadelphia, Patrick Dougherty and his wife, Dr. Cristy Dougherty, of Harleysville, Mary Dougherty of Philadelphia and Brian Dougherty of Blue Bell; 17 grandchildren; and his sister, Sister Ann Gertrude, SSJ, of Philadelphia.
He was predeceased by three brothers, the Rev. Victor Dougherty, OFM, the Rev. Cornelius Dougherty and the Rev. Vincent Dougherty, OFM; and two sisters, Anne Marie Dougherty and Sister Cornelius Marie Dougherty, SSJ.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Corpus Christi Church, Sumneytown Pike, Upper Gwynedd, with a funeral Mass at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a second visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale, followed by a Prayer Service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
