Mrs. Gibson, wife of the late Charles Joseph “Chad” Gibson, died Monday, December 27, 2004, in Savannah, Ga. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Bertha White Cook. She was a member of Palmetto Church of Christ and Ladies Bible Class.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Larry A. and Gerry Gibson of Savannah, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Virginia Larmon Gibson of Irmo; and grandchildren, Dan, Matthew, Lauren and Kimberly Gibson. She was predeceased by son, Charles J. Gibson, Jr. and sister, Julia James.

MULLINS — Mr. Jack Miles Jordan, Sr., 73, widower of Dottie Jean Harrelson Jordan, died Sunday, December 26, 2004, in Marion County Medical Center after an illness.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, December 28 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sam Clardy and the Rev. Marty Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Aynor Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Jordan was born March 23, 1931, in Horry County, a son of the late Cord Bradley Jordan and the late Pearl Lee Gore Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a farmer and former owner and operator of DJ’s Trucking Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Surviving Mr. Jordan are: a Son: Jack M. “Jay” Jordan, Jr. and his wife Donna of Gresham; 3 Daughters: Kimber Lee J. Jenerette and her husband Jimmy of Galivants Ferry, Donna Kaye J. Strickland and her husband Thad of Nichols and Dottie Jeaneen J. Gasque and her husband Joey of Galivants Ferry; 7 Grandchildren: Alisha Kay Jordan, Samantha Jo Jordan, Brooke Jewette Jenerette, Jimmi Lynn Jenerette, Kayson Thad Strickland, Kylie Don Strickland and Joseph Gage Gasque; 3 Brothers: Malcolm M. IRMO — Services for Jean “Isabelle” Mergo, 86, of Irmo, SC, formerly of Ashley, PA, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, PA, officiated by Rev. Keith Benjamin. Mrs. Mergo will be laid to rest beside her husband, Joseph G. Mergo, Sr. at Maple Hill Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ashley Centenary United Methodist Church, Ashley, PA. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mergo died Saturday, December 25, 2004. Born in Ashley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jenny and Kenneth Reese. She was a member of Ashley Centenary United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph G., Jr. and Julie Mergo; grandchildren, Jennifer Mergo Fulmer and husband David, Joseph G. Mergo III and wife Nikole, Jessica Mergo Watts and husband Jeff; great grandchildren, David LaVaughan Fulmer and Joseph “Parker” Mergo; sister, Margaret “Peg” Wootten; and brother, Sam Reese.
