CONWAY -- Frank Sherman, 82, husband of Lizzie Sherman, of Franklin Drive in the Bucksport community, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Conway Hospital.
Arrangements will be announced by McKiever Funeral Home Inc. of Conway.
Fayette V. Todd
CONWAY -- Fayette V. Todd, 80, wife of the late Joe D. Todd, of the Shell community, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Conway Hospital after an illness.
She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Curtis and Ellar Anderson Gore.
She retired from AVX as an inspector after 20 years of service and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by a son, Billy Wayne Todd; three brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include five sons, Bert Todd, Donnie Todd, Roy Todd, Kevin Todd and Bryan Todd, all of Conway; two daughters, Dorethea Todd Fowler and Tara L. Todd, both of Conway; a sister, Eloise Hearl of Conway; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. The Rev. Roger Chestnut will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Henry H. Turner
CONWAY -- Henry Howard Turner, 54, of Darden Terance Apartments, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at home.
He was a son of Gracie Maye Turner of Conway and the late Willie Turner.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three sisters, Leitha Tucker, Lula Mae Tucker and Laura Dean Tucker, all of Conway; three brothers, Larry Turner of Conway, Lawrence Turner of Bristol, Tenn., and Tommy Turner of
Florida.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at McKiever Chapel, 1408 Race Path Ave., Conway. Burial will be in the Mount Pisgah Church Cemetery in the Allentown community.
McKiever Funeral Home of Conway is in charge.
Agnes C. Abraham
ANDERSON -- Agnes Cizewski Abraham, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002.
Survivors include a son, Jack Abraham; two daughters, Lynn A. Powell and Ann A. Anderson; two brothers, Joe and Edward; and two sisters, Frances and Rose.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the home of her son on North Avenue in Anderson.
No local services are planned.
Ernest L. Ballinger
SURFSIDE BEACH -- Ernest LeRoy Ballinger, 79, of Southwoods, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1923, in Oberlin, Kan., a son of the late William and Inez Pickett Ballinger.
He was a World War II Merchant Marine veteran. He had retired as a supervisor for Powerhouse AK No. 3, Con Edison in Staten Island,
N.Y. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his computer.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ballinger; two daughters, Carol Golder and her husband, Warren, of
New York and Mary Reid and her husband, Tom, of Surfside Beach; a sister, Betty Jackson of
Missouri; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.
A memorial service will be at later date.

Ben Brown Sr.
MYRTLE BEACH -- Ben Brown Sr., 75, father of Ben Brown Jr., of Circle Lane in the Burgess community, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center after an illness.

Joseph E. Crawford
ANDREWS -- Joseph Earl Crawford, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 12, 1932, in Apalachicola, Fla., in Franklin County, a son of Medie Maryland Crawford and Ollie Neal Crawford.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor with the Chargeurs Wool USA Plant in Jamestown. He was a member of the Victory River Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eugenia G. Crawford; a son, Thomas Crawford of Andrews; two daughters, Carolyn Case and Betty Crawford, both of Andrews; a stepson, Tony Bowers of Andrews; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Locklair of Trio and Marilyn Gibson of Andrews; a sister, Shirley C. Brouillard of Englewood, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Mae Taylor Crawford.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at McKenzie Funeral Home, Andrews chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Victory Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
Verlie M. David
COLUMBIA -- Verlie McConnell David, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002.
She was born April 10, 1921, in Newberry, a daughter of the late John R. and Mollie Braswell McConnell.
She was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church. She recently moved to Columbia from Myrtle Beach, where she had served as a volunteer for the First United Methodist Church, the American Red Cross and Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Myrtlewood Golf Club and a member of the S.C. Senior Women's Golf Association for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Irvin David; two sons, Robert O. "Butch" Ellett Sr. and his wife, Debbie, of Anderson and William E. Ellett Jr. and his wife, Frances, of Columbia; a sister, Geraldine "Dee" Keyes of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Joee Ellett Taylor and Robert O. Ellett Jr. of Greenville, Lee Ellett Wolfe and her husband, Bill, and Stacie Ellett Ward and her husband, J.C., of Columbia, William E. Ellett III of
Washington, D.C., and Brittany Ellett of Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Robyn Taylor, Jay Wolfe, John Coleman Ward and Charles Ellett Ward.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Molly Ellett; and a brother, John Robert McConnell Jr.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork chapel.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and after the service at the home of her sons on Hunters Blind in Quail Valley.
