NESMITH — Rosa Rodgers Stephanos, 98, widow of John Stephanos, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, in a Lake City hospital.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nesmith Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, directed by the funeral home.
Carolyn B. Broughton
MYRTLE BEACH — Carolyn Beverly Broughton, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at home after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jack and Katherine Holz Patton. She was predeceased by her first husband, William Howard Beverly.
She was an active member of St. Philips Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, John G. Broughton Jr. of Myrtle Beach; her two sons, William Howard Beverly Jr. and his wife, Merri, of Findlay, Ohio, and Dr. J. Mark Beverly and his wife, Kelly, of Myrtle Beach; her three grandchildren, Nathan B. Beverly, Ann M. Beverly and Keely K. Beverly; her three stepchildren, John G. Broughton III of Idaho Springs, Colo., Elizabeth B. Webster of Virginia Beach, Va., and Martha B. Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and three stepgrandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Philips Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Setzer will officiate. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

GARDEN CITY BEACH — Betty B. Davis, 71, of Virginia Lane, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at home.
She was born April 13, 1931, in Columbia. She owned and operated Kerri-Jen Apartments. She was a member of Parkway Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Kerry T. Davis, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Jennifer Turner, of Garden City Beach; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbia.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH — Howard J. Dorris, 17, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002.

Julia M. Drew
MULLINS — Julia Martin Drew, 87, widow of Daniel William Drew, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at Marion Nursing Center, after an illness.
She was born April 11, 1915, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Willie and Porter Rogers Martin.
She had retired from Anvil Knitwear as a seamstress after 40 years of service. She was an active member of Woodlawn Park Baptist Church until her health declined. She was the oldest member of the church.
She was the loving mother of two daughters, Martha Hayes and her husband, Wade, of Lake View and Mary Pack and her husband, Nick, of Mullins; and a son, Freddie Drew and his wife, Cindy, of Greenville, Tenn.
Survivors, in addition to her children, include four grandchildren, Jeff Hayes and his wife, Sherrie, Dwain Hayes and his wife, Marsha, Allison Watts and her husband, Junior, and Nelson Drew and his wife, Julia; six great-grandchildren, Josiah Hayes, Daniel Hayes, Lloyd Watts, Christopher Watts, Courtney Watts and Noah Hayes; and a sister, Zilphia M. Hardwick of Mullins.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Janie Shelley, Hazel Brown, Flora Mae Flowers and Sarah Brigman.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Park Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Brown and the Rev. Dwain Hayes, her grandson, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedardale Cemetery.

GEORGETOWN — Judy C. Jacobs, 55, widow of Waymon Jacobs, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 5, 1947, in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late James Columbus Cherry and Helen Louise Harrelson Cherry.
She was a member of Eastside Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Freddie Jacobs of Georgetown; two daughters, Zonda L. Cox and Hope Swails, both of Georgetown; two brothers, John W. Cherry and James V. "Jimmy" Cherry, both of Georgetown; four sisters, Janice Jacobs, Joyce McConnell and Jenny Cherry, all of Georgetown, and Jeanette Cherry of Hemingway; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Graham Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Carl Lavender, the Rev. James A. McElveen and the Rev. Michael Wall will officiate. Burial will be in Hucksfield Cemetery, directed by the funeral home.
Ethan C. Lansberg
CONWAY — Ethan Conrad Lansberg, infant son of Michael and Julieann Halteman Lansberg, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Conway Hospital.
He was born in Conway and was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Anne Lansberg.
Survivors, in addition to his parents of Conway, include two brothers, Damon Smoot and Michael Thomas Lansberg, both of Conway; a sister, Janelle Smoot of Conway; maternal grandparents, Ann and Larry Halteman of Green Lane, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Fred and Rennie Lansberg of Conway; and maternal great-grandmother, Emma Clews of Ashland, Pa.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gary Reeves will officiate.
