Archie M. West
CONWAY — Archie M. West, 87, of the Hickory Grove community, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at Conway Hospital.
He was born Jan. 8, 1915, at Lennon's Cross Road, N.C., where he also spent his earlier years. He was the son of the late William Ira and Louisa West.
He was a charter member and a former deacon of the Langston Baptist Church and the Kingston Baptist Church. He was a former member and deacon of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. As a current active member of Kingston Baptist Church, he was a very devoted Christian who deeply loved his Lord. He worked many years for the Hunter Auto Sales in Conway before starting the West Automotive Infirmary on S.C. 905. He was a lifetime member of Woodmen of the World. He also enjoyed his numerous friends and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Survivors include four daughters, Phronsie Miller and her husband, Ken, Cheryl Dougherty and her husband, Dan, Cynthia Tomilonus and her husband, Bob, all of Conway and Deborah Westbury and her husband, Dave, of Charlotte; two sons, Archie T. West and his wife, Cheryl, and Timothy West and his wife, Kay, all of Conway; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Della Aline Fields West; and two brothers, Wyche and Craven West.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the residence and from 7 to 9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kingston Baptist Church in Conway. The Rev. Steve Elvis and the Rev. Billy Hackett will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway.

Isaac Barron
GEORGETOWN — Isaac Barron, 82, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002.
Arrangements will be announced by Wilds' Daughter Funeral Home.
James M. Bruce
RAINS — James Michael Bruce, 56, husband of Dianne Coleman Bruce, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness.
He was born April 18, 1946, in Greenville, a son of Elizabeth Riggins Bruce and the late James Harold Bruce.
He was a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
He was an insurance agent with Piedmont Insurance Co. He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Surfside Float Fishing Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife and his mother, include a son, Christopher Bruce, and his wife, Iris, of Marion; a daughter, Allison Romesburg, and her husband, Kevin, of Marion; two grandchildren, William Christopher Bruce and Emily Kate Romesburg; a sister, Carol Foster, and her husband, Rick, of Greer; and two nieces, Dana Salsman of Lyman and Wendy Foster of Greer.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Broadway and the Rev. Darrell Floyd will officiate. Services will be conducted by the funeral home.
Garnell Davis
CONWAY — Garnell Davis, 63, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, after an illness.
He was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Brundidge, Ala., a son of John Davis and Emma Lee Davis.
He was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Suezie Sanders; and children Mamie, Lynette and Larry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Rhue's Mortuary.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Inez Doyle
AYNOR — Inez Elizabeth Barnhill Doyle, 87, wife of Fabious Edgar Doyle, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at home.
She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joe C. and Eliza T. Skipper Barnhill.
She was a member of Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, J. Henry Doyle of Aynor; two daughters, Peggy Barnhill and Mary Ann James, both of Aynor; a sister, Corine Lewis of Aynor; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church. The Rev. Danny McLellan and the Rev. Julian Gamble will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Stephen T. Ferjanec
MYRTLE BEACH — Stephen T. Ferjanec, 92, of Forestbrook, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at Conway Hospital after an illness.
He was born Oct. 17, 1910, in Little Falls,
N.Y., a son of the late Stefan and Kristina Vlcek Ferjanec.
He came to Myrtle Beach in 2001 from Port Charlotte, Fla. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach, and was a World War II Coast Guard veteran. He was a retired mechanical engineer.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Virginia Wood Ferjanec; two daughters, Donna Sue Beebe of Haymarket, Va., and Sharon Ann Werner of Antioch,
Calif.; a brother, Frank Ferjanec of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three sisters, Frances Moynihan of Little Falls,
N.Y., Helen Hradsky of Hudson,
N.Y., and Mildred Blom of East Islip,
N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Todd Beebe, Matthew Beebe, Adam Beebe, Chad Beebe, Kara Beebe and Aaron Werner.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Southeastern Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach. The Rev. Bo Stalcup will officiate.
