Dave M. Skipper
SALUDA — Dave Myron Skipper, 47, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002.
He was born in Columbia, a son of Anna Mae Johnson Skipper and the late Jenks Skipper.
He was a member of the Hollywood Ruritan Club and Lexington Masonic Lodge 152 and retired as service manager for Pendarvis Chevrolet, Edgefield.
Survivors, in addition to his mother of Columbia, include his wife, Rosemary Lee Skipper of Saluda; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Caughman and her husband Charles of Batesburg-Leesville; a son, Dermie Skipper of Saluda; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Michaela Caughman; three brothers, Malcolm Skipper of Monticello, Marion Skipper of Greenville and Robert Skipper of Florence; a sister, Sophia Oaks of Hopkins; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Ramey Funeral Home, Saluda.
The funeral will be 3 p.m Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Stone will officiate. Burial will be in West Travis Park Cemetery.
Marilyn S. Solberg
LITTLE RIVER — Marilyn Seydler Solberg, 72, of Galapagos Drive, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at home.
She was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Wehauken, N.J., a daughter of the late Walter and Grace Faulk Seydler.
She was an executive secretary for L&F Products for many years and was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Shallotte, and the Bounder Recreational Vehicle Club, Little River.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Solberg; two sons, Gregg Solberg and his wife Lisa, of Anaheim, Calif., and Eric Solberg and his wife Mildred, of Paso Robles, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Shallotte. The Rev. Matthew Ernst will officiate.

Nicky T. Soles Sr.
TABOR CITY — Nicky Theodore Soles Sr., 59, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Premier Living, Lake Waccamaw.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Inman Funeral Home, Tabor City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Iron Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Soles Cemetery.
Herbert J. Thorne
LITTLE RIVER — Herbert Joseph Thorne, 68, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Seacoast Medical Center.
He was born June 12, 1934, in Jamaica Queens, N.Y., a son of the late Louis F. and Tessie Skowronek Thorne.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Doris G. Thorne of Little River; a son, Jeffrey M. Thorne of Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Janice M. Birmingham of Long Island, N.Y., and Judith M. Grieco of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Louis F. Thorne of Long Island, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m Saturday at Lee Funeral Home, Little River.
The funeral will be announced.
Luther P. Timberlake
MURRELLS INLET — Luther Pearl Timberlake, 85, of Mallory Avenue, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Logan, Ohio, a son of the late Samuel L. and Jenny Imboden Timberlake.
He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a retired building contractor and made his home on the Grand Strand in 1952. He was a member of Myrtle Beach Masonic Lodge 353, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Omar Shrine Temple and a life member of MLC. He was a member of Belin United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Funk Timberlake; a son, Tommy Timberlake of Myrtle Beach; a daughter, Leah Ann Jenks of Palm Coast, Fla.; four grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Belin United Methodist Church.

Vicky Warren
CONWAY — Vicky Janice Wray Warren, 41, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, in Sharon.
She was born in York County, a daughter of Doris Brown Wray and the late Robert Wray Sr. She was the widow of John Warren.
She was an attorney. She was a graduate of Winthrop College, University of South Carolina Law School and a member of the S.C. Bar Association. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Conway.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Dale Brock of Sharon; six sisters, Angie Wray of Sharon, Peggy Wray of Conway, Terry Jenkins of Clover, Tammy Smarr of Hickory Grove, Doris Pierce and Patricia Scoggins, both of York; and six brothers, Robert Wray Jr. of Clover, Ricky Wray of Greensboro, N.C., Johnny Wray of York, Eddie Wray of Kannapolis, N.C., Darryl Wray of Pageland and Wayne Wray of York.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Episcopal Church, Conway. Burial will be in St. Paul Church Columbarium.

Luedelia Bell
MULLINS — Luedelia Bell died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at home after an illness.
Arrangements will be announced by Troy's Funeral Home in Mullins.
Beulah P. Causey
CONWAY — Beulah P. Causey, 89, wife of the late Henry C. Causey Sr., of the Maple section of Horry County, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, after an illness.
She was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Ira and Emma Holt Peavy. She was the longest-standing member of Maple Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Olivia C. Smith. She was a resident of the Bethea Baptist Retirement Community in Darlington.
Survivors include a son, H.C. Causey Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Conway; a daughter, Peggy Graham of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Callie Jordan of Conway; four grandchildren, Rusty Cox, Steve Causey and Nancy Faulk, all of Conway, and Andy Graham of Myrtle Beach; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Maple Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Vaughn and the Rev. Gary Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.
