LORIS — George Washington Green, 67, of Alice Drive, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at home after an illness.
He was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Lauderdale County, Ala., a son of the late Charles and Allie Riner Green.
He was retired and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bouchard Green; two sons, Charles Green and his wife, Anita, of Loris and John Green and his wife, Renee, of Loris; six daughters, Denise King and her husband, Gilbert, of Cherokee, Ala., Gisele Smith and her husband, John, of Lake Station, Ind., Paula Fuller and her husband, Andy, of Tuscumbie, Ala., Freda Russell and her husband, Rodney, of Tuscumbie, Bobbie Jo Tingle and her husband, Chris, of Central, Ala., and Kathy Nethery of Champaign, Ill.; three sisters, Louise Creasy of Central and Lucile Humphreys and Barbara Stone, both of Tuscumbie; four brothers, Gary Green of Lake Station, Charles Green of Tuscumbie, Herschel Green of Waterloo, Ala., and Bobby Green of Spring Valley, Ala.; 24 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be private.
Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory of Myrtle Beach is in charge.
