Deborah A. DeLong
ALAMEDA,
Calif. — Deborah Ann "Debbie" DeLong, 50, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Kaiser Hospital after an illness.
She was a daughter of the late Harold Vernon and Thelma Hardy of Myrtle Beach.
She was a daughter of a naval master chief, who finally settled in Myrtle Beach, where she spent her adolescent and teen years. This is where she met, fell madly in love with and married her husband in 1971. In 1972, she moved to
California. She spent the rest of her life in
California making a wonderful home for her family. She worked for Kenney Wall Covering, Hills Pet Products and, finally, joined the Coca-Cola family, where she was a router planner for the CCE Division.
She will be severely missed by her very close family and all her relatives & friends. She found peace at home with her daughters and husband, to whom she gave all that she had. When her granddaughter came into her life, she found the angel that kept her going and brought the youth back to her spirit. She left a lasting impression on all that knew her, never spoke bad of anyone and was always there to be a confidant, mother, friend, advisor or just a really good listener. When needed, she provided a helping hand. She enjoyed camping and, later in life, going to the ranch with her family.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 30 years, Douglas E. DeLong; two daughters, Tara Jeanine and Heather Ann DeLong; a granddaughter, Nicollete Jade DeLong-Silva of Alameda; a sister, Charlene Hardy of Hayward,
