LITTLE RIVER — Janet A. Salveati, 89, died Jan. 17, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Newburgh, N.Y., a daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Tulve Salveati.
Survivors include a brother, Frank Salveati of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; a niece, Jane Keler; and a great-niece, Christina Rohan, both of Little River.
A memorial Mass will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newburgh. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Lee Funeral Home and Crematory in Little River is in charge.
Amanda K. Taylor
MYRTLE BEACH — Amanda Karetas Taylor, 40, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at Chesapeake General Hospital, in Virginia.
She was born Jan. 15, 1962, in Conway, a daughter of Wanna Mae Powell Karetas and the late Thomas Karetas.
She was a graduate from Myrtle Beach High School in 1980 and was a program analyst with SPAWAR Systems Center, Wideband SATCOM Branch for the Department of Defense.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, CTOCS (SW) Thomas Jeffrey Taylor, Navy of Chesapeake, Va.; a daughter, Meagan Christine Taylor; a brother, Thomas Karetas and wife, Karen; two sisters, Margo K. Monroe and her husband, Jack, all of Myrtle Beach and Susan K. Larson and her husband, Ken, of Charleston.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Karetas family plot in Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery.

Henry `Hank' M. Yaw
WOODLAKE VILLAGE — Henry "Hank" McKenzie Yaw, 75, of Woodlake Village, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Hague, N.Y., a son of the late Albert and Mary McKenzie Yaw.
He was a Navy veteran serving in World War II on the aircraft carrier Lake Champlain. He had retired from Texaco in 1986 before moving to the area. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Cortland, N.Y. He was also a member of the Murrells Inlet Moose Lodge and the Masonic Lodge No. 472 in Dryden, N.Y. He was a charter member of the Indian Wells Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Palmer Yaw; a brother, Edward Yaw of Hague, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Lawrence Yaw.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

RHEMS — Betty Lowery Young, 84, widow of Herman Earl Young, died Friday Jan. 18, 2002 in a Georgetown hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Morris Funeral Home In Hemingway and other times at the home of Curleen Tisdale, 14205 Browns Ferry Road in Georgetown.

ASH, N.C. — JoAnn Platt Cribb, 54, of Arvil Court, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

FLORENCE — Edna B. Cusaac, 60, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at home after an illness.
She was a daughter of the late Leon and Elouise Floyd.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Skipper of Florence; a son, Kevin Skipper of Florence; two brothers, Allen Floyd and Leon Floyd Jr., both of Mullins; two sisters, Linda Boggs of Florence and Brenda Floyd of Columbia; two grandchildren, Nicole Skipper and Ashley Skipper, both of Florence.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
