Alfred J. “Peanuts” DiCarlo
Alfred J. “Peanuts” DiCarlo, 92, of West Pontiac Street, died Friday at Cherry Hill Manor. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Bisceglio) DiCarlo.
Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Domenic and Rose (DeFiore) DiCarlo.
Mr. DiCarlo was a member of Teamsters Union Local 251 employed with Charles Wagner Rendering Co. until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the D'Abormida Club and East Natick Veterans Assn, both in Warwick. He was an avid gardener and Red Sox fan.
He was the loving father of Emilio “Deac” DiCarlo and his wife Mary of West Warwick, Marie Lowe and her husband Douglas of Hope Valley, and Joanne Cardinale of Cranston. Caring brother of Anna Nardone of Cranston and the late Gennaro, Michael, and William DiCarlo. Cherished grandfather of seven and great grandfather of five.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday 5-8 pm.
Anna Marie Domenicone
Anna Marie Domenicone, 46, of South Main Street, Coventry, died peacefully on September 22, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the loving wife of Milton E. DuPerry, III. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Rocco G. and Patricia A. (Higney) Carlini of Coventry.
Anna was a bakery clerk employed by Stop & Shop on Warwick Avenue.
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Nicholas Domenicone of Warwick, two daughters, Christina Domenicone of West Warwick, and Stephanie DuPerry of Coventry. She also leaves two brothers, Rocco A. Carlini of Hebron, CT and Michael Carlini of West Warwick, a sister, Cheryl A. Cochran of Newport News, VA. She was the devoted grandmother of Christian Domenicone. She was the loving granddaughter of Agostina Carlini of Johnston and niece of Ralph D. Carlini of Johnston.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95).
Russell L. Donahue
Russell L. Donahue, 78, of Williamsburg Circle, died Saturday at home on the day of his 50 th Wedding Anniversary to his late wife Elaine (Dambruch) Donahue.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Walter and Mildred Donahue.
Mr. Donahue was a buyer for J.C. Penny Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1990. He served in The United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Warwick and a proud alumni of both LaSalle Academy and Providence College. He was a lifetime Red Sox and New York Jets fan.
He was the beloved cousin of Mary Ernestine Massaro of Warwick, Paul Donahue of Bristol, Vincent Donahue of Virginia, Corrine Capalbo of Cranston, Kathleen Tierney of Manchester, CT, Maureen McGuire of Warwick and their spouses and family. He is also survived by his faithful cat “Rocky”
His funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 6-8 pm.
Barbara A. (Duquette) Fletcher
Barbara A. (Duquette) Fletcher, 60, a homemaker of Palm Harbor, Florida, died September 7, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of Peter Fletcher.
Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Silva) Duquette.
She was the loving mother of Lyndsy Cioci of Cranston and step mother of Courtney Declercq of Warwick and Bradford Fletcher Bentenville, AK. Caring sister of Thomas Duquette and Karen Simas, both of West Warwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Monday from 4-7 pm with a service at 7:00 pm in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Gulf Coast Oncology Foundation, 1201 5 th Avenue North, Suite 505, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 would be appreciated.
Daniel R. Gooden
Daniel R. Gooden, 84, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on September 12, 2009 at South County Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Daniel A. Gooden and Evelyn E. (Hurry) Gooden. He was the lifetime companion of Jerry Hubert.
Mr. Gooden was a graduate of Brown University and Rhode Island College, where he earned his teaching certificate. He served as an educator in the Providence School System.
He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a Korean War Veteran.
Mr. Gooden was an alcoholism counselor with Talbot House, Edgehill of Newport, High Point Treatment Center, and the Providence Center. He was a Spiritual Counselor and received his certification from Our Lady of Peace Retreat Center. Mr. Gooden was a member of the RI Association of Alcohol and Drug Counselors, a friend of “Bill W”, a volunteer at the North Kingstown Senior Center, and a communicant of St. Bernard Parish.
Mr. Gooden leaves three sisters, Eleanor A. Ouimette of Warwick, Dorothy A. Aldrin of Chapel Hill, NC, and Elizabeth A. D'Amico of North Kingstown. He was the brother of the late James F. Gooden and Evelyn C. Morgan and cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 am from THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Harold J. Grinnell
Harold J. Grinnell, 56, of Pond Street, died Sunday at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Bonney) Grinnell. He was the son of the late Arthur and Lorraine Grinnell.
Mr. Grinnell was the owner and operator of Grinnell Home Improvement for 30 years.
He was the loving father of Audrey Brown of Coventry, Paul Brown of Cranston, Ralph Brown of West Warwick, Andrea Grycell of West Warwick, and Jaime Grycell of Georgia. Caring brother of Patricia Freitas of Connecticut. Cherished grandfather of six.

Rhoda E. (Alexander) Hall
Rhoda E. (Alexander) Hall, 79, formerly of Capron Farm Drive, died Saturday at Scalabrini Villa. Born in Cambridge, MA, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Lydia (Aldenberg) Alexander.
Ms. Hall was a Secretary and Director for the State of Rhode Island at the MHRH for 28 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Warwick Central Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, the Rebekah Club, and a founder of Warwick Adult Day Care.
She was the beloved mother of Jeffrey W. Hall (W.F.D.) of East Greenwich and Tinah P. Hall (a designer for Armbrust Int'l.) of Warwick. Loving sister of John Alexander of Grove City, Ohio, Beth Aldenberg of Brunswick, Maine, Marcia Aguair of Nantucket, Massachusetts and the late Ernest and Paul Alexander. Cherished grandmother of five.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Robert W. Jamieson
Robert W. Jamieson, 86, of North Kingstown, died at home on Friday, August 28, 2009. He was the loving husband of the late Rosemary J. (Maroun) Jamieson. Mr. Jamieson was born in Providence, a son of the late Hugh W. and Harriet (Moshier) Jamieson.
He was a branch manager for Amica Insurance Company from 1950 until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Jamieson , a resident of North Kingstown since 1982, served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was a 1950 graduate of Brown University.
He was the beloved father of Robert W. Jamieson, Jr. and his wife Susan of Plano, TX and William H. Jamieson and his wife Judith of Warwick. The cherished grandfather of Andrew and Stephen Jamieson and Sarah Peterson. He was the brother of the late Russell F. Jamieson.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment wth military honors will follow at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
