Edward T. “Freight Train” Gregory
Edward T. “Freight Train” Gregory, 54, of Montgomery Street, Warwick, died Saturday at Faulkner Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was a beloved son of Robert R. Gregory, Sr. of Warwick and the late Helen E. (Anderson) Gregory.
Mr. Gregory was a Truck Driver for Crete Carrier Corp. for 10 years. He was a former R.I. State Pool Champion.
He was the caring brother of Robert R. Gregory, Jr. and his wife Donna of Pittsburg, PA and Richard R. Gregory and his wife Joanne of Cranston. Cherished uncle of Shannon, Jonathan, and Christopher Gregory. Loving companion of Peggy Iacuele.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 4-8 pm. Burial will be private. Sandra J. Fisher
Sandra J. Fisher, 51, of Brook Lane, died August 17, 2009 at Greenwood House, Warwick.
Born in California, she was the daughter of Edward D. and Elaine (Scott) Fisher.
Sandra was a delivery person for the Kent County Daily Times for several years.
She is survived by her loving brother John S. Fisher of Troy, New York.

Lillian M. (Wright) Filipkowski
Lillian M. (Wright) Filipkowski, 91, of Mill Wheel Road, Warwick, formerly of Joslin Street, Providence, died Monday at Scalabrini Villa. She was the wife of the late Jacob J. Filipkowski.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Winifred F. (Newton) Wright.
Mrs. Filipkowski was a clerk for the Providence Credit Bureau until her retirement in 1982. She served as past president of the American Legion Auxiliary and as treasurer of the St. Adalbert Senior Citizens Group.
She was the beloved mother of Joseph A. Filipkowski and his wife Cheryl and Robert W. Filipkowski and his wife Karen, all of Warwick. Caring sister of Marion Simon of Connecticut. Loving grandmother of four and great grandmother of three.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-8 pm. Maria G. (Diana) Feroce
Maria G. (Diana) Feroce, 69, of Pontiac Street, died Monday at home.
She was the wife of the late Pasquale Feroce. Born in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Arcangela (D'Onofrio) Diana; she came to The United States in 1977 and settled in Warwick.
Mrs. Feroce was employed with Kenny Mfg. Co. until her retirement in 2002.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
She was the beloved mother of Antonio Feroce of Cranston, Margherita Balasco of Coventry, Angela Petrarca of Warwick, and Rose Marsoubian of Canoga Park, CA.
Loving sister of Tommaso, Vincenzo, Antonio, Geraldina, and Carmela Diana, all of Italy and the late Nicolina Diana. Cherished grandmother of ten and great grandmother of five.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Elizabeth Jane (McCuen) Farnlof
Elizabeth Jane (McCuen) Farnlof, 85, of North Kingstown, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 5, 2009 at South County Hospital. She was born in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Frank and Lois (Edwards) McCuen, and was the loving wife of the late Rev. Fr. Norman Clifford Farnlof.
Until her retirement in 1986, Mrs. Farnlof worked for Ciba-Geigy. She was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford.
She leaves behind four daughters, Christina F. Showalter of Chestertown, MD, Rebecca J. Farnlof of North Kingstown, Deborah L. Farnlof of Wakefield, and Ellen E. Booth of Coventry. She leaves a sister, Ruth Matheson of Long Valley, N.J and four loving grandchildren, Larisa H. Showalter, Laura E. Martinique, Chloe E. Booth and Hannah R. Booth.
Her Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main St., North Kingstown. Interment will follow at The Old Narragansett Cemetery.

Joseph Enos
Joseph Enos, 82, of Bridge Street, died Monday at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Lopes) Enos. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Manuel and Angelina (Frade) Enos.
Mr. Enos worked in maintenance at Leviton Mfg. in Warwick, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Portuguese American Sports Club.
He was the loving father of Eileen Caito and her husband Anthony of Barrington, and Diane Nunes and her husband Rick of Hope. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Ventura, Jennifer Larsh, Laura Santilli and Gregory Nunes; great grandfather of Caleb and Hanna Ventura and Emma and Ryan Larsh. He was the brother of the late Mary DaSilva, Manuel, Christy, John and Antonio Enos.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel, Pleasant Street, West Warwick. J. Stuart Edwards
J. Stuart Edwards, 71, of Warwick, RI, died suddenly on July 16, 2009. For 45 years, he was the beloved husband of Margaretta (Light) Edwards. Born in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of Gertrude Winifred (Meyer) Edwards and Joseph Stuart Edwards.
He was the eldest brother of David T. Edwards of Bellingham, MA, and John E. Edwards, husband of Jamie Edwards (Cremmen), of Falmouth, MA. He was the devoted uncle of Rachael P. (Edwards) Seiler, wife of Casey Seiler, Albany, NY; Laura M. Edwards, Bomoseen, VT; Michael T. Edwards, Falmouth, MA; Katie Marie Edwards, Kauai, HI.; Blake R. Edwards, Boston, MA; and Stephen J. Edwards, Falmouth, MA. Stuart was the great-uncle of Benjamin C. Seiler, Albany, NY.
He was the godfather of Abigail (Winslow) Hanrahan, wife of Patrick "Packy" Hanrahan, Greenwich, CT; Eliza Chute, Pawtucket, RI; Margaret Chute, Boston, MA; and Stephen J. Edwards.
Among his relatives and many friends, Stuart will be remembered for the way he shared his love of technology, model railroads and fishing. Because of him, these pursuits will be carried on by successive generations in several families.
He grew up in Sherborn, MA, and graduated from Framingham High School in 1955. He attended Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA, and graduated from Ferris State University, Big Rapids, MI, in 1960. He served three years in the Massachusetts National Guard.
After his marriage, Stuart lived in Needham, MA, before moving to Warwick in 1967. A lifelong engineer, he was president and CEO of Providence Blueprint Co. (now Joseph P. Merritt & Co.) until his retirement in 1997. He also served on the board of directors of the Rhode Island Zoological Society. Stuart remained active at the New England Wireless and Steam Museum, East Greenwich, RI, where he worked together with other volunteers restoring antique engines.
He was a member of the Mount Tom Club, Exeter, RI, and the Dunes Club, Narragansett, RI.
A family burial was held on July 20 at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. A celebration of his life will be held at Central Congregational Church, 296 Angell Street, Providence at 11AM Saturday, Aug.1, 2009.
