John H. Catlow

John H. Catlow, 75 passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, at home. He was the husband of Barbara (Bedford) Catlow.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late James and Mary (Holland) Catlow.
Mr. Catlow was an Electrician for forty years working for Fielding Electric in Cranston for twenty years, retiring in 1998.
Besides his wife he is survived by five sons, Michael Catlow of Foxboro, Daniel Kane of South Carolina, Donald Kane of Warwick, Robert Kane of Seekonk and Michael Kane of Pawtucket; a sister Alice Livesly of Charlestown; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Steven Kane and the brother of the late Caroline Tanner.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday 6-8 pm. Hugh Seal

Hugh Seal, 78, passed away Monday after a long illness. He was the husband of Alice (Johnson) Seal. They were happily married for 55 years.
Mr. Seal served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a Christian Member of Antioch Church for many years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Vickie Brown, John Seal, Christen Simas, Alicia Rebello and Bobby Brown and four siblings. He was a great poppy to his seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was also the father of the late Stacey Seal.
A Service will be held Friday at 7pm in the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 prior to service.
Richard C. Haerick

Richard C. Haerick, 74, of Warwick, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Izzo) Haerick.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Marie (Demuyt) Haerick.
Mr. Haerick was an army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, #43 William Shields Post, Warwick.
He had worked for Ward Baking Company of Pawtucket. He then worked for ITT Continental Baking of Framingham, MA as a Production Supervisor, retiring in 1994. Upon his retirement, he worked part time for Avis Car Rental of Warwick.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Haerick of Cumberland, and Ronald Haerick of St. Petersburg, Florida, a daughter, Nancy Richard of Cumberland, a stepdaughter, Andrea Izzo of Warwick, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 10am in Saint Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 5-8pm in the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road (Route 122), Cumberland. Florinda Barreira

Florinda Barreira, 89, passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 at Pawtucket Health Center. She was the wife of the late Antonio Barreira.
Born in Soajo, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Amelia (Amorim) Barros.
She is survived by her loving children, three sons, Manuel Barreira of Pawtucket, Alexandre Barreira of Warwick and Antonio Barreira of Seekonk; three daughters, Elisia Couto of Portugal, Maria Mourao of Pawtucket and Grace Cortinheiro of North Kingstown; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a sister Elda Fernandes of Portugal. She was also the mother of the late Rosa Pires and Joseph Barreira.
Funeral and Burial will take place in Portugal. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
Lorraine J. Gaetano

Lorraine J. Gaetano, 90, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009. She was the wife of the late Edward Gaetano and the late Charles Reinhart.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William Godwin and the late Lillian (Robertson) Miller.
Mrs. Gaetano had lived in Cranston before moving to Cumberland five years ago.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Reinhart of New York, and Thomas Gaetano of Cumberland, a sister, Jonette Higgins of Warwick, a brother, Jack Miller of Seattle, Washington, seven grandchildren, Lisa Boyle, Stephen Morin, Lori McGrady, Teresa Lovito, Charles Reinhart Jr., TJ and Chris Gaetano. She was the mother of the late Angela Montgomery and Lillian Morin.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 9am from the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
Rosa Mendoza

Rosa Mendoza, 88, of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009. Born in East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Dominica DeBarros.
Rosa was a certified nursing assistant for 35 years at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket, retiring in 1987. Following her retirement she was a home care nurse for many years. During her tenure at the hospital, she was recognized as Employee of the Year.
She is survived by a son, Antonio Mendoza of E. Providence; three daughters, Yvonne Mendoza of W. Warwick, Connie Mendoza of Attleboro, MA and Simmone Mendoza of E. Providence; a step son Richard Mendoza of Pawtucket; a sister Eva Jackson; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Sylvester, Lawrence, Augusto and James DeBarros.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joseph Church, Walcott St., Pawtucket. Joaquim “Jack” Almeida

Joaquim “Jack” Almeida, 92, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He was the husband of the late Harriet (Nunes) Almeida. He had lived most of his life in Cumberland.
Mr. Almeida was a World War II Army veteran. He was a Radio Technician for the US Government, in Quonset for fifteen years.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Gregoire of Woonsocket, and Juliet Baguchinsky of Cumberland; two grandchildren, William Gregoire and Danielle Langlois, both of Pawtucket. He also leaves three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 8:30am from the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Monday 8:30 to 9:30am in the funeral home, prior to the mass.
