Byron R. Mowry

Byron R. Mowry, 82, of Pollett Street, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Grandview Nursing Home, Cumberland. He was the husband of the late Mary (Jeffrey) Mowry.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Byron and Mary (Hurley) Mowry.
Mr. Mowry was a Tubber for Saddler Brothers Co. of Attleboro, MA for several years, retiring in 1989.
He was a navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post #14, Cumberland.
Mr. Mowry enjoyed vacationing in New Hampshire with his family.
He is survived by his children, Robert and Alyce Mowry, both of Cumberland, and Carol Bisceglio of Middletown. He was the brother of the late Janet Marks and Mary Lou Foster.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 8:45am from the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Saint Patrick Church, Broad Street, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Friday from 7:45am to 8:30am, prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, would be appreciated.
Edgar Lemonde

Edgar Lemonde, 74, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009. He was the husband of Irene (Marcotte) Lemonde.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Edgar R. and Blance (Brazeau) Lemonde.
Mr. Lemonde was an air force veteran of the Korean War. He was an extruder and truck driver for New England Power of Westborough, MA for several years before retiring.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ronald Lemonde of South Carolina, and Donald Lemonde of South Attleboro, three sisters, Lucille Begin of Lincoln, Yvonne Goulet of Stewart, Florida, and Diane Lemieux of Cowpens, South Carolina, three granddaughters, Jaime Lemonde, Keri Archambault, and Deareth Doyon, he also leaves two great grandchildren, Zachary and Madyson Archambault.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 30, 2009 at 10am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Theresa Church, 18 Baltic Street, Attleboro, MA. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 5-8pm
Paul Lee Porter

Paul Lee Porter, 68, of Evergreen Street, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Vincent and Arline (Sanville) Porter.
Mr. Porter was a 1960 graduate of New England Institute and later became the owner and operator of the former Porter-Davignon Funeral Home. He was also the manager of the Pawtucket office of Prata Funeral Home. Mr. Porter worked in funeral service for over 48 years.
He is survived by his cousin Sister Joan Guertin. He also leaves his extended family Kimberly Pageau, her children Joseph Jr., Kayla and Nichole Heeks and Joseph Heeks Sr.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Maria Goretti Church, 165 Power Road, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours 5-8pm Thursday.
Stanley Maczuga

Stanley Maczuga, 93, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Florida. He was the husband of the late Irene (Eno-Kelly) Maczuga.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Warhol) Maczuga.
Mr. Maczuga was an army veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland. He was a Truck Driver for Hemingway Trucking for forty one years, retiring in 1979.
Mr. Maczuga is survived by three stepchildren, Gloria Johnson of Fleming Island, Florida, Vivian Kelly of Pawtucket, and Alfred Kelly of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
A Service will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11am in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Wednesday 10-11am, prior to the service.
Bertha M. Zonfrillo

Bertha M. Zonfrillo, 87, passed away Wednesday April 1, 2009 at Mt. St. Francis Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Ugo Zonfrillo. Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Elizabeth (Devine) Roberts.
Mrs. Zonfrillo lived most of her life in Cumberland before moving to Woonsocket six years ago.
She is survived by a son, Robert Hopkins, a daughter Jeannette Steere, both of Westerly, and a daughter in law Theresa Fontaine Zonfrillo, of Manville. She was also the mother of the late James Zonfrillo.
Funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements by the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, Cumberland.
Michael Green

Michael Green, 43, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Born in Providence, he was the son of William Green and the late Marguerite (Gazerro) Green.
Michael was an installer for Branch Floor Covering.
Besides his father, he is survived by two brothers, William and Thomas Green, and his sister, Donna Green.
A Service will be held Thursday at 12pm in the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Thursday 11am-12pm, prior to the service.
John Quintin “Tash” Tashjian

John Quintin “Tash” Tashjian, 42, passed away unexpectedly, April 13, 2009 at home. He was the son of Vahram K. and Lorraine D. (Mailhiot) Tashjian, of Portsmouth.
“Tash” was a jewelry designer, and artist who's infectious laugh and smile brightened all who new him. He taught art at School One in Providence and was a Master of Fine Arts Degree candidate at RIC.
He is survived by his parents and brothers, Warren and Peter Tashjian, both of Portsmouth, and Douglas Tashjian, of Los Angeles, two sisters, Mari-ann “Mufi” Sullivan, of Barrington and Mary Pallizza, of Portsmouth; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Warren, Allarie and John Sullivan, Jake, Lorraine, Vahram, Lawrence and Geobai Tashjian.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 9am, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to, School One, 220 University Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.
