Dorothy M. Marino, 68, of Providence, passed away Saturday, March 07, 2009. She was the wife of Anthony Marino. They were happily married for 48 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia (Miglorri) Buccini.
Mrs. Marino was a currier for Smith Kline Becham of Providence for many years before retiring in 1999. She was a lifelong resident of Providence.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Michael Marino and his wife Marta, her daughter, Christine Benz and her husband Edwin, her sister, Karen Coughlin, her grandchildren, Helenka Marino, Andrew, Max, and Nicky Benz. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Monday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 169George Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860, would be appreciated.
Julia (Hetherman) West

Julia (Hetherman) West, 97, formerly of Armington Avenue, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009. She was the wife of the late George J. West II.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Margaret (Masterson) Hetherman.
Mrs. West graduated from Rhode Island College in 1932 earning a Bachelor Degree in Education and later a Masters Degree from Boston University. She was initially a School Teacher and later a School Psychologist for the Providence School Department for many years, retiring in 1975.
Mrs. West was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, the American Federation of Teachers, Local 958 and the Rhode Island Teachers Association. She also volunteered at Roger Williams Medical Center and Rhode Island Hospital for many years.
She is survived by two sons, George J. West III, of Providence, and Albert B. West, of Westport MA, eleven grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Margaret West Donovan, sister of the late Edmund and John E. Hetherman, and Mrs. John F. Dunn.
The Funeral will be held at 9am Saturday, from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to The Blessed Sacrament Endowment Fund, 239 Regent Avenue, Providence, RI 02908.
Anna T. Keegan

Anna T. Keegan, 96, formerly of Smithfield, passed away March 12, 2009, in Bloomington, Minnesota. She was the wife of the late John J. Keegan.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Ainsworth) Milne. Mrs. Keegan lived in Smithfield for many years before moving to Minnesota in 2008.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Dawn, Erin and Melissa Keegan, all of Minnesota and two great grandchildren, Tabbatha and Mikaelea Keegan, also of Minnesota.
A service will be held Wednesday at 12pm from the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation 11-12 prior to service.
Leonarda “Laura” Winiarski (Raczelowski)

Leonarda “Laura” Winiarski (Raczelowski), 100, of Canton St., died Friday at Hospice Care of RI. She was the widow of Edward Winiarski.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Stanley and Tekla (Bryndza) Raczelowski, she had lived in Providence most of her life.
Mrs. Winiarski was employed as a central office clerk for the New England Telephone Company. She was a long time volunteer at St. Francis Chapel in Providence and a devoted parishioner of St. Adalbert's Church.
She is survived by many nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, great grand nephews, great grand nieces, and a sister-in-law Ethel Winiarski. She was also the sister of the late Stephanie Raczelowski, Anne McCarthy, Anthony and Arthur Raczelowski.

Allen Flanagan

Allen Flanagan, 61, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jennette (Plante) Flanagan. He graducated from Tolman High School, Pawtucket.
Mr. Flanagan was a Produce Manager for the former Almacs, an organizer for Local #328, and also worked for several years for the Providence Journal.
He is survived by his children, Brian Flanagan and his wife Erin, and Jennifer Flanagan, his siblings, Jan Marie, Steven, and Thomas Flanagan, Debbie Pelton, and Lisa Villeneuve. He was the brother of the late Susan Gagne, Brian and Daniel Flanagan.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30am from the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Joseph Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8pm.
Bridget Catherine “Kay” (Donlon) Sheridan

Bridget Catherine “Kay” (Donlon) Sheridan, 97, of North Providence, peacefully at Hopkins Manor on March 16, 2009 surrounded by family.
A long-time resident of North Providence, Mrs. Sheridan was born in 1911 in County Longford, Ireland to the late James and Catherine (Farrell) Donlon and immigrated to RI in 1928. She met and married her husband, the late Terence Sheridan, who emigrated to RI from County Cavan, Ireland, and together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children, Terence J. and (the late) Laurel Sheridan, of Tucson, AZ, Katherine T. Sheridan, and William E. and Mary (O'Reilly) Sheridan, all of North Providence; her grandchildren Kevin J. Sheridan of Smithfield, Matthew D. Sheridan of Ashland, MA and Michael P. Sheridan of Tarrytown, NY; and her great-grandchildren Emma, Claire, Brianna and Miles. Mrs. Sheridan was predeceased by all 6 of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Sheridan was a nurse at Lying-In Hospital in Providence, where she cared for generations of babies including some of her own grandchildren. After retiring in the early 1960s she provided care to the elderly. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church, Providence, for over 50 years and had been a member of the Legion of Mary and the Rosary and Altar Society.
She will be remember by friends, family and acquaintances for her gentle good nature, warm lilting brogue and lively Irish wit, which she bestowed on those around her till her final days. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her funeral will be on Saturday at 8:30 from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine's Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army, 210 Pitman Street, Providence, RI 02906, would be appreciated.

Mary E. Kelley, 81, of Newport and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 in Florida.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Kathleen (Ward) Kelley.
Mary was a Teacher for the Pawtucket School Department, teaching English at Shea High School for many years before retiring. She had lived most of her life in Pawtucket before moving to Newport ten years ago.
She is survived by her sister, Frances and her brother Robert, both of Newport.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Mary's Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Saint Mary's Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Wednesday 9- 9:30am, prior to the mass.
