Robert M. Gustafson

Robert M. Gustafson, 79, passed away Monday, February 10, 2009. He was the husband of Lucille (Menard) Gustafson.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Ruth (Milton) Gustafson. He was a lifelong resident of Cranston.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Eric Gustafson and his wife Heather, his daughter, Gail Gustafson, and his grandson, Ethan Gustafson. He was the twin brother of the late Richard Gustafson.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 9am in Bethany Lutheran Church, Rolfe Street, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Salvatore Corso

Salvatore Corso, 85, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Lucia (Gatto) Corso.
Sal worked for UNIROYAL, formerly The United States Rubber Company, for 35 years before retiring.
He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Pacific from 1942-1946.
He leaves his sister Lena DeQuattro of Greenville. He was the beloved “Uncle Charlie” to his beloved Godchild Diane Boswell, David and Alexander DeQuattro. He was also the kind and gentle great-uncle to David, Benjamin and Amanda Russell and David and Ariana DeQuattro. Mr. Corso was the brother of the late Mary and Michelina Corso.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence at 10am. Graveside Burial with Military Honors will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 6-8pm.
Raymond E. Cooke

Raymond E. Cooke, 68, passed away Wednesday February 18, 2009 at home.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Marion (Otte) Collinge and the late Earl Cooke.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel and Peter Cooke, a daughter, Melissa Cooke, a sister Judy Thomson, brothers Dennis and Gordon Cooke and Robbie Collinge. He was also the brother of the late Carl Cooke.
A Service will be held Monday, March 2, 2009 at 12:30 from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
Yolande M. DiSano

Yolande M. DiSano, 85, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Henry “Chappie” DiSano.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Armento and Maria (Boni) Zagaglia.
Mrs. DiSano was the owner and chef at Chappies Supper Club for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Brisson and her husband Gerry of Cumberland, one son, Steven DiSano, of Sebring, Florida, five grandchildren, Kevin and Bradley Brisson, and Mark, Joseph and Jesse DiSano. She was also the sister of the late John Zagaglia.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony's Church , 128 Greene Street, Woonsocket. Graveside Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours Sunday 4-7pm.
Edward “Ted” P. Warnock

Edward “Ted” P. Warnock, 70, of Pawtucket, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 after a three year battle with Leukemia.
He was the husband of Edna (Lynch) Warnock. He was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Ball) Warnock.
A lifelong educator, Mr. Warnock taught locally at Tolman High School for many years, as well as coached their cross-country and track teams.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Edward Jr. and his wife Brenda, John and Christopher, Dawn Warnock, and Kevin Coffey, his brother, John, two grandchildren, Chad and Cody Warnock. He was the father of the late James Warnock.
Once an avid long-distance runner and Legendary Skin Diver, Ted held many prestigious awards for each sport (including a World record and a National Athlete of the Year title).
A memorial gathering will be held at the St. Teresa's Church Hall, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02861, on Friday March 13, 2009, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family welcomes donations made in memory of Ted to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Rhode Island. 1150 Pontiac Ave. Suite 1. Cranston, RI 02920. Yvonne A. Blais

Yvonne A. Blais, 97, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009. She was the wife of the late William J. Blais. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Idolphe and Marie Louise (Ayotte) Lemieux.
Mrs. Blais was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
She is survived by three daughters, Estelle Foisy of Indian Head, South Carolina, Dolores Champigny and Constance Palin both of Pawtucket, five grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bertha Lafrenaye, Sister Louise Lemieux, SSC, Armand Lemieux, Jeanne Lotti, and Sister Therese Lemieux, SSC.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:30am in the Chapel at the Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 1-4pm at the Jeanne Jugan Residence. Eugene P. Wante

Eugene P. Wante, 88, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009. He was the husband of Rita (Beauregard) Wante.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lydia (Desjardins) Wante.
Mr. Wante was a machinist for Browne & Sharpe for several years before retiring in 1982.
He was a World War II army air force veteran, serving in the European Theatre as a member of the 425 Night Fighter Squadron. He also took part in the Normandy, Northern France, Andennes, Central Europe, and Rhineland Campaigns.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Eugene Wante Jr. of North Kingstown, two daughters, Julie Healy of Cumberland, and Susan Gargano of Allentown, Pennsylvania, a sister, Theresa LaCouture of Boynton Beach, Florida, and his grandson, Chistian Gargano. He was the brother of the late Gilberte Aubuchon.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Saint John The Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm.
