Warren P. Sampson

Warren P. Sampson, 87, of Attleboro, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket, RI. He was the husband of the late Thelma (Chapdelaine) Sampson.
Born in Milford, MA, he was the son of the late Ray and Marion (Wheelock) Sampson.
Mr. Sampson was a Production Control Manager for Bird Machine Co. of South Walpole, MA for forty years, retiring in 1983. He was raised in Franklin, MA and graduated from Franklin High School.
He was a World War II Navy veteran serving from 1943 to 1946. He had lived in Walpole for 31 years and then moved to Falmouth for his retirement where he lived for 21 years before moving to Attleboro three years ago. He had also wintered in Largo, Florida with his late wife for several years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #462 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Lodge 71, Franklin, MA.
He is survived by three sons, Phillip, Robert and Garry Sampson, two daughters, Jacquelyn Sampson and Andrea Ledoux, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Georgia White, Raymond, Thomas, Donald, and Walter Sampson.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service Friday, December 12, 2008 at 7 pm in Second Congregational Church, 50 Park Street, Attleboro, MA. Gladys Barnaby

Gladys Barnaby, 88, passed away, Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Hallworth House, Providence. She was the wife of the late Alcide Barnaby.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Busby) Evans.
Mrs. Barnaby was a box maker for the former Artistic Company of Pawtucket for several years, retiring in 1965. She had lived most of her life in Pawtucket.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Alcide Barnaby Jr. and his partner Daniel Harvey of Providence, a niece, Shandelle Johnson, and a sister-in-law, Esther Evans. She was the sister of the late Thomas A. Evans Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Requiem Eucharist Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10am in Saint James Episcopal Church, 474 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence. Christine C. Moseley

Christine C. Moseley passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Pawtucket Health Center. She was the wife of the late James W. Moseley.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ullmann.
Mrs. Moseley was an Inspector for Texas Instruments for many years retiring in 1978.
She is survived by two sons, James and John Moseley, both of Pawtucket, one brother John Ullmann also of Pawtucket, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Christine Moseley. She was also the sister of the late Louis Ullmann.
A Service will be held 4pm Tuesday in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation 3-4pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Anthony “Tony” J. Arnold

Anthony “Tony” J. Arnold, 54, of Academy Avenue, Providence died Tuesday at Miriam Hospital.
He worked for the Narragansett Bay Commission for a few years previously working for the Gilbane Construction Company as a Mechanic.
Born in Providence he was the son of Anthony Arnold, Sr., of Lakeland, Florida and the late Norma (Healy) Arnold.
Tony was the husband of Sharon (Manni) Arnold, and loving father of Anthony E. Arnold both of Providence. He was the brother of William, and James Arnold. Tony leaves several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements by Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, Providence.
Flora Doucette

Flora Doucette, 96, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Pawtucket Health Center.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Almanzar and Mathilda (Desrosiers) Doucette. She had lived most of her life in Central Falls.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary and the Senior Citizen's Club of Saint Matthew's Church, Central Falls. She was also a member of the Central Falls Community Center and the Coates Manor Association.
She is survived by a brother, Roland Doucette and a sister, Rita Jette both of Pawtucket, many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theresa Polak and Patrick Doucette.
The funeral will be held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 8:30am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Saint Matthew Church, Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4pm.
Elaine M. Haggerty

Elaine M. Haggerty, 60, of Cumberland, RI, passed away Friday, December 19, 2008 at Emerald Bay Manor, Cumberland. She was the wife of William F. Haggerty.
Mrs. Haggerty was born in Norton, MA, the daughter of the late Ellis D. and Violet (Munroe) Eisnor. Mr. & Mrs. Haggerty have lived in Cumberland for the last 32 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four brothers, Donald B. Eisnor of Norton, MA., Duane E. Eisnor of Eustis, Florida, Alfred M. Eisnor of Taunton, MA, and Arnold N. Eisnor of Norton, MA, she also leaves one sister, Janet L. Yelle of Norton, MA., and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late David L. Eisnor.

Rosalie Carney

Rosalie Carney, of Mendon Road, and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of James E. Carney. They were happily married for 55 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McMahon) Casey. Mr. & Mrs. Carney have lived in Cumberland for 52 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Steven Carney of Boulder, Colorado, and James Carney and his wife Christine of Seekonk, MA, a daughter, Kathleen Hibbard and her husband Steven of Marlboro, MA, and four grandchildren, Casey, Kyle, and Cory Carney, and Ashley Hibbard.
The funeral will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 9am from the O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7pm.
