Yvette M. Plante, 87, of Johnston, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late William J. Plante.
Born in Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Maria (Baril) Dumont.
She is survived by a son, Richard W. Plante, a daughter, Elaine M. Diefenbach, two brothers, Paul and Edouard Dumont, three sisters, Lucille Paquette, Therese Girouard and Jeanne Dumont, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lucien Dumont, Rose Girouard, and Lillian Tetreault.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 9am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Saint Thomas Church, would be appreciated.
Gilbert Clarence Cochran Jr.

Gilbert Clarence Cochran Jr., of Juniper Street, Wareham, MA died of illness on April 24, 2008. Born in Winthrop, MA, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Anne (Emond) Cochran Sr. He leaves behind a legacy as a hard working man.
He was a retiree of 32 years with GTE Sylvania of Central Falls. He was also a Korean War Veteran and former Commander of the Rhode Island Korean War Veterans Association.
He is survived by his children, Gary Cochran of Attleboro, MA, Robin Liberty of Wareham, MA, Glenn Cochran of Rehoboth, MA, Michael Cochran of Lakeville, MA, and Keith Cochran of Cranston. He also had a grandson and five granddaughters as well as sisters Irene Johnson of MI, and Donna Marfil of Providence. He was the brother of the late Alice Paolino and Guy Cochran.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church, Park Street, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-7pm.
Robert J. Rocheleau

Robert J. Rocheleau, 76, of Cumberland passed away Sunday April 27, 2008 at home. He was the beloved husband of Christina (Cataloni) Rocheleau.
Born in North Attleboro, M.A., he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva (Demers) Rocheleau and the brother of the late Doris Lamarre.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert Rocheleau of Lincoln; two daughters, Denise Russo of North Grafton, MA., and Lisa Rocheleau of Laconia, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Stephanie Lerp and Tara Fitzpatrick.
Mr. Rocheleau was: the Chief Investigator for the State of Rhode Island Public Defenders Office; the owner of Worldwide Bureau of Investigations Inc. of Cumberland; a Polygraph Instructor and Examiner. He was: the past Commander of VFW Post 1271 and VFW District 5; a member of the American Legion, DAV, and Knights of Columbus; a life member of the Elks and the Le Foyer.
Funeral and burial with military honors will be private. Arrangements by O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, Cumberland.
John L. “Leo” Barton

John L. “Leo” Barton, 91, formerly of Amity Street, Providence died at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Tuesday, April 29, 2008. He was the loving husband of Sarah J. “Sally” (Geary) Barton for the last 67 years.
Born in Providence he was son of the late Edward J. and Amy (Collins) Barton.
He was a Toolmaker for Brown & Sharpe Mfg. for many years before retiring. He was an avid Gardner and enjoyed every minute with his family.
Besides his wife he leaves 7 children, Patricia A. Anthony of Sierra Vista, AZ, Joan L. Cook of Coventry, RI, Thomas G. Barton, of Woodside, NY, Edward J. Barton of Wantagh, Long Island, NY, Pauline M. Barton of Lincoln, RI, Nancy J. McEnery of Cranston, RI, and Leo J. Barton of Fredrick, MD. He also leaves 17 Grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren. He was the brother of Mary E. McConnell of Providence and the late George E. Barton and Dorothy Ellery.
Mr. Barton was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and a former member of the Immaculate Conception Parish. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue with a Mass of Christian at Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 am. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 pm. Relatives and Friends are invited. In lieu of flowers donations to the Elmhurst Extended Care, 50 Maude Street, Providence, RI 02908 would be deeply appreciated.
Gertrude A. “Gertie” Corriveau

Gertrude A. “Gertie” Corriveau of Greenville, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Lina (Poirier) Corriveau.
She retired from Roger Williams Medical Center in 1993 after working there for 20 years as a LPN. She had lived most of her life in Providence before moving to Greenville in 1983. Ms. Corriveau attended RICE, Providence College and CCRI.
She taught school at St. Ann's Academy in Fall River, MA. She worked in the Attorney General's office under the late William E. Powers and J. Joseph Nugent, as a clerk – receptionist, and managed several political campaigns at local and state levels.
Her retirement years were dedicated to the support and aid of foreign missions, mostly in Peru and Chile. She was a communicant of Our Lady Lourdes Church, Providence and a member of its finance committee.
She is survived by a sister, Lillian Corriveau-Berard of Greenville, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theodora Forrester, Benoit Corriveau, Sister Colette Corriveau F.M.M., Claire Quigley, and Flora A. Levesque.
The funeral will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 9am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Fund, would be appreciated.
Milton Marcoux

Milton Marcoux, 84, of Coventry and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Kent County Hospital, Warwick. He was the husband of Eleanor (Fogarty) Marcoux.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Felix and Mayella (Bloomer) Marcoux.
Mr. Marcoux was a manager for the Fram Corporation for many years before retiring in 1983.
He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Kowal of Coventry, Susan French of Richmond, and Jean Dupre of Pawtucket, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the grandfather of the late Steven Kowal and Kristen Dupre. He was the brother of the late Edward Marcoux.
The funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements by Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, Pawtucket.
Mary F. “Dale” (O'Neill) Donovan

Mary F. “Dale” (O'Neill) Donovan, 87, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Jeanne Jugan Home, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Maurice Donovan Jr..
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Crane) O'Neill. Mrs. Donovan had lived most of her life in Pawtucket. She graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1942.
Dale had served as a nurse in the navy during World War II. She had owned and operated the former Nursing Center of Pawtucket. Mrs. Donovan was a former store nurse for the former Shepard's Department Store, Providence. She was also a former industrial nurse for the former Health Tex for 12 years, retiring in 1985.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Donovan, Elizabeth Bruscato, Kellie Farrell, and Erin Mooney, eight brothers, Dr. John, Thomas, William, Vincent, Robert, Joseph, Paul, and Raymond O'Neill, two sisters, Nancy O'Neill and Jane Couture, eight grandchildren and one great grandson. She was the mother of the late Michael Donovan and the grandmother of the late Meghan Donovan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am in Saint Leo The Great Church, 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
