Mary Corso
April 18, 2008

Mary Corso, 87, of Canton Street, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.

A lifelong resident of Providence, she is survived by a sister, Lena DeQuattro of Greenville, and a brother, Salvatore Corso of Providence. Ms. Corso was the gentle and loving aunt of Diane Boswell, David and Alexander DeQuattro and Linda Russell and the great aunt of David, Benjamin and Amanda Russell, and David and Ariana DeQuattro.

Funeral mass and burial will be private. Visiting hours Monday 6-8 in HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING FUNERAL HOME 168 Academy Avenue, Providence.

Juliette Allard
April 14, 2008

Juliette Allard, 95, formerly of Hunt Street, passed away peacefully Monday, April 14, 2008 at the Holiday Nursing Home, Manville. She was the wife of the late Alfred Allard.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Adeline (Arsenault) Guimond. Mrs. Allard had lived most of her life in Central Falls.

She was a member of St. Matthews Golden Age Club, Notre Dame Senior Citizens Club, past president of VFW Auxiliary, Post 1271, Central Falls, joining in 1971, past president twice of the Gatchell Post VFW Auxiliary, and was a volunteer for the Veteran's Administration for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Bowles of Gulf Port, Mississippi, and Diane Riel of Lincoln, a son, Maurice Landry of Enfield, CT, six grandsons, two granddaughters, seven great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew. She was the mother of the late Brother Ronald Landry and the sister of the late Alvin Guimond.

The funeral will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 8:30am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in Saint Matthew's Church, Dexter Street, Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Holiday Nursing Home Activity Fund, 30 Sayles Hill Road, Manville, RI, 02838 in memory of Mrs. Allard, would be appreciated.

Lillian Fournier-Fortier
April 12, 2008

Lillian Fournier-Fortier, 82, of Clews street, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Evergreen Nursing Home, East Providence. She was the wife of Norman Fortier and the late Omer Fournier.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Delphis and Blanche (Halley) Pruneau. Lillian had lived most of her life in Pawtucket.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son Richard Fournier and his wife Jeanne of S. Attleboro, MA, a brother, Normand Pruneau of North Providence, a sister, Therese Walsh of East Providence, and two grandchildren, Nathan and Brandon DeTracy. She was the mother of the late Janine DeTracy and the mother-in-law of the late Michael DeTracy. She was the sister of the late Jeannette Gervais and Wilfred Pruneau.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Leo The Great Church, 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7pm.

Margaret “Peg” Broadmeadow
April 8, 2008

Margaret “Peg” Broadmeadow, 74, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Walsh) Campbell. She had lived most of her life in Cumberland before moving to Lincoln in 2000.

Mrs. Broadmeadow was an administrative assistant for Tyco International, Kendall Healthcare, and Sab Nife Inc. for several years before retiring.

She was a member of the Valley Singers, AARP 4646, Saint Aidan Seniors, and the Cumberland Senior Center.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Broadmeadow and his wife Susan of Seekonk, MA, and Michael Broadmeadow and his partner Edwin of Orlando, FL, two daughters, Peg Bourassa of Cumberland, and Cathy Chenot and her husband David of Burrillville; she was also the mother of the late Mary Girard, she leaves her son-in-law, Kevin Girard of Burrillville, two brothers, Thomas Campbell and his wife Carol and Michael Campbell all of Florida, one sister, Agnes Campbell of Melbourne, Florida, eight grandchildren, Randy, Justin, Kelsey, Henry, Ben, Grace, Sam, Mary Cate and the late Matthew Bourassa; she also leaves several nieces and nephews and her cousin, Sister Roberta Campbell SSJ of Pawtucket. She was the mother-in-law of the late Robert Bourassa. She was the sister-in-law of the late Patricia Campbell.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11am in Saint Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements by O'Neill Funeral Home, Cumberland.

Lillian Keane
April 6, 2008

Lillian Keane, 74, of Fruit Hill Avenue, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of James Keane.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie (LaRose) Dawson.

Mrs. Keane was a Mental Health Worker for many years before retiring.

Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, James, Daniel, and David Keane and Mark Mattheu, three daughters, Jeanne O'Connor, Denise Lee, and Linda Greaves, three brothers Gordon, Robert, and Kenneth Dawson, and one sister Jessie Wilson, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Margaret Keane and the sister of the late Frank, Richard, and Dennis Dawson.

A service will be held Friday 10:30am in Saint James Episcopal Church, 474 Fruit Hill Avenue North Providence. Burial will be in Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence 02903. Arrangements by HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING FUNERAL HOME, Providence.

Leo Collette
March 29, 2008

Leo Collette, 85, of Aiken Street, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at home. He was the husband of Doris (Blain) Collette, they were happily married for 61 years.

Born in Central Falls, he was the son of Adolphe and Gertrude (Baris) Collette. Mr Collette was the former owner and operator of Duffy's Auto Sales of Pawtucket.

He was an army veteran of World War II and survivor of South-West Pacific. He was a former board member of The LeFoyer Club, The Power Squardron, Elks 920 of Pawtucket and the VFW, Lefebvre Post, Central Falls.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Knight of Pawtucket, two brothers, Robert Collette of Pawtucket and Adolphe Collette Jr. of Norton, MA, five sisters, Stella Sweet and Rita Manely, both of Central Falls, Constance Johnson of Woonsocket, Jeanne Plociak and Marguerite Pike, both of Pawtucket, two grandchildren John Knight and Brenda Burns, two great grandchildren, Briana and Caroline Knight. He was the brother of the late Richard Collette and Gloria Joachim.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Home and Hospice Center of Rhode Island, 169 George Street Pawtucket 02860. The funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a mass a Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Cecilia's Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday 5-8pm.

Barbara Ventura
March 28, 2008

Barbara Ventura, 76, of Pawtucket passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at Haven Health Center. She is survived by her husband Felisimino Ventura.

She was the wife of the late Gerald Maxwell.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11am in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd. Warwick. Arrangements by PRATA FUNERAL HOME.
