Humberta Maito Medeiros
1938 - 2007
Pawtucket - Humberta Maiato Medeiros, 69, of Lorraine St. died Thursday, December 13 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Manuel P. Medeiros. They had been married for forty years.
Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Miguel, Azores, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Jose and Hortencia (Amaral) Sousa. She came to this country 32 years ago settling in Pawtucket.
Prior to her arrival in the United States she was employed as a nurse in St. Miguel, Azores for 18 years, where she was known as nurse “Maiato Sousa”.
She was employed here by the Providence Metalizing Co. for 25 years retiring in 2000.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of St. Anthony Holy Spirit Society. She was a member of Grupo Amigos da Terceira and the Holy Spirit Great Feast, Fall River, MA.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Helder M. Medeiros and his wife Andrea of North Kingstown and Paulo S. Medeiros and his wife Eliza of North Providence. Three grandchildren, Max, Julia and Lauren Medeiros all of North Kingstown. Two sisters, Maria J. Teves and Germana Faria both of Toronto, Canada.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 18 at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Leon H. Tetrault
1936 - 2007
Cumberland - Leon H. Tetrault, 71, of Crestwood Ct. died Friday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lou (Wood) Tetrault.
Born in Providence he was the son of Elizabeth (Carroll) Tetrault of Johnston and the late Conrad Tetrault. He resided in Cumberland for the past 41 years.
He was employed by the former Narragansett Electric Co. for 32 years retiring in 1998.
He was a 1954 graduate of LaSalle Academy, Providence.
He was a U. S. Air Force, Air National Guard veteran serving during the Berlin Crisis.
He was a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. He enjoyed golf, playing cards with friends, the Paw Sox and had always maintained his sense of humor and spirit. He was also an avid artist and enjoyed painting, pen and ink drawing and wood carving.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Leslie Tetrault of Sarasota, FL and Sue Christensen of Massachusetts. Three brothers, Conrad Tetrault of Costa Mesa, Ca, Joseph Tetrault of Glastonbury, CT and Rev. Raymond Tetrault, Pastor of St. Theresa Church, Providence. He was also the brother of the late Irene Meenagh.
Funeral with military honors will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be private.

Eugenia A. Kent
1920 - 2007
Cumberland - Kent Eugenia A., 87, of 1 Mendon Rd. died Sunday at home. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helena (Wiewiorski) Janusz. She was the mother of Charlotte Kent of Coventry. She also leaves a granddaughter and was the sister in law of Rosalie Klepadlo of Cumberland and Teresa Janusz of Ohio. She was also the sister of the late John and Matthew Janusz.
Her funeral and burial services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of J. J. Duffy Funeral Home.
Angelo Lanni

Cumberland - Angelo Lanni, 97, of Mendon Rd. passed away peacefully Thursday. He was the husband of the late Constance R. (DelGuidice) Lanni.
Born in Providence he was the son of the late Lawrence and Maria (Viola) Lanni. He resided in Cumberland for the past thirty-five years previously residing in Pawtucket.
He was the owner of Lanni's Barber Salon for over sixty years until his retirement.
He was a WW II, U. S. Army veteran. He was a communicant of St. Aidan Church and a member of the St. Aidan Seniors and Cumberland Seniors. He was a former member of American Legion Post 45, Pawtucket. He was also an avid golfer, bowler and traveler.
He leaves a daughter, Virginia M. Jones of Cumberland and a son Donald E. Lanni of South Attleboro, MA. Two brothers, David Lanni of Rumford and Lawrence Lanni of Johnston. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Mary Pesce, Lena Famiglietti, Pasqualina Anzelone, William Lanni and Nicholas Lanni.

Agnella B. Latimer

Cumberland - Agnella B. Latimer, 88 formerly of Mullen Street passed away Wednesday in the Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. She was the wife of the late George E. Latimer Jr.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Calixte and Johanna (Aherne) Palin. She resided in Cumberland for 57 years previously residing in Pawtucket.
She was employed by the former John W. Little Co., Pawtucket and she was also a member of the Lithographers Union at the former Advertisers & Engravers Co., of Pawtucket for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the R.I. Watercolor Society and the AARP.
She was a graduate of the RI School of Design.
She was a volunteer in the past at the Jean Jugan Residence, Pawtucket.
Mrs. Latimer taught art lessons in watercolor to many children in Cumberland at her residence over the years.
She leaves two sons, George E. Latimer III of Riverside and Bruce D. Latimer of Glocester. Five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Calixte A. Palin, James Palin, Arthur Palin and Margarita Alesandro.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

Alice C. Marquis

Central Falls - Alice C. Marques, 77 formerly of High Street passed away Wednesday in Bayberry Commons Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Manuel Marques.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Allard) Latraverse. She was a lifelong resident of Central Falls.
She was an inspector for the Fram Co., of East Providence for 30 years retiring in 1992.
She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church, Central Falls.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Fuller of Chepachet, and her husband Kenneth, and their children Jessica and Erica. A son Ronald Marques of Tennessee and his wife Leah and their children Steven, Kelly and Michael; and a son Kenneth Marques of Florida and his sons Travis and Ryan. A brother John Latraverse of Central Falls and his wife Dolores, a brother Louis Latraverse of Pawtucket and his wife Mary. She also leaves six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Albert Latraverse.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Matthew Church, Dexter Street Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Theresa Y. Morin

CUMBERLAND - Theresa Y. (Richard) Morin, 74, of School Street, Lincoln formerly of Mendon Road, passed away on Wednesday in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Mrs. Morin was the daughter of the late Lionel and Jeannette (Boucher) Richard. She resided in Lincoln for the past 12 years, previously residing in Cumberland for many years.
She was a self employed seamstress, as well as an employee of Texas Instruments for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Morin was a communicant of the St. Joseph Church, Cumberland.
She leaves her beloved children, including three sons, Craig Morin of Lincoln, Thomas Morin of Maine, Timothy Morin of Cumberland and one daughter Elizabeth Morin of West Warwick. She also leaves four brothers, Real Richard, Peter Richard, Normand Richard, and John Richard; and five sisters, Gisele Vigeant, Jeannine Voyer, Pierrette Robert, Doris Kerman, and Madeleine Kiras; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claude Richard and Germaine Berard.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM in the Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Raymond R. Sherry
1930 - 2008
CUMBERLAND - Raymond R. Sherry, 77, of Manville Hill Rd., died Tuesday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Helen D. (Rodrigues) Sherry.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (McKitchen) Sherry. He had resided in Cumberland for the past fifty-six years.
He was employed by the Texas Instruments Corp., Attleboro for twenty-nine years until his retirement. He was a bus monitor for the Cumberland School Department for the past seven years.
He was a co-founder of the Cumberland Colts Preteen Football Team in 1972. He ran a very successful team operation also serving as head coach for twelve years until he turned the program over to others thereby continuing the team legacy. He also supported his wife during the 1960's and 70's and her dedication to the children of the community through her involvement with the Our Lady of Fatima C.Y.O. and other volunteer endeavors.
He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Cumberland. He was also an avid golfer and a member of the Rehoboth Country Club.
Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Judith Sherry of Burlington, VT and Lisa Orsini of Cumberland. One son, Marco Vieira of Cumberland. One brother, Vincent Sherry and a sister Florence Allcock both of Cumberland. He also leaves four cherished grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd. Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Aidan Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
