RAYMOND BRAGA - Fall River
RAYMOND BRAGA, 74, of Chicago Street, a retired truck driver, died yesterday at St. Anne's Hospital.
He was the husband of Loretta (Charron) Braga. They were married for 53 years. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel Braga and Elsie (Leblond) Braga Dupuis.
A truck driver, he had been employed by A&J; Trucking, Fall River, and Pacheco Egg Co., Raynham, Mass.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Mark R. Braga of Hopkington, Mass., and Paul N. Braga of Fall River; two brothers, William Braga and Norman Braga, both of Fall River; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Braga.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., with a funeral Mass at 10 in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Road. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.

CHARLES G. MONAHAN - Johnston
CHARLES G. MONAHAN, 71, of Hartford Avenue, formerly of Smithfield, a supervisor for the former New England Telephone Co., died Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Douglas M. and Margaret (McGuiness) Monahan, he had lived in Johnston for 10 years, previously living in Smithfield. Mr. Monahan worked as a supervisor for phone company for 30 years before retiring in 1984.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He leaves a son, Charles D. Monahan of Smithfield; three daughters, Patti Cuddigan and Barbara J. Kirby, both of Scituate, and Debra M. Ferreira of North Providence; a sister, Margaret M. Hyde of Greenville; and 11 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John D. Monahan, and the former husband of Patricia M. (Gaudet) Monahan.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 p.m. from Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann cemetery, Cranston.

LEON D. DANIELIAN - North Providence
LEON D. DANIELIAN, 77, of Progress Avenue, formerly of Cranston, a retired iron worker, died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital.
He was the husband of Margaret (Haytaian) Danielian. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Daniel and Haiganoush (Topalian) Danielian. Mr. Danielian was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was an iron worker affiliated with Local 37 for 30 years before retiring in 1984.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Catherine Markarian of North Providence; two sons, Kenneth Danielian of Cranston and Jeffrey Danielian of North Providence; a sister, Anne Wheeler in North Carolina; and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, with a service at 11 in St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.

Michael W. Lynch, 84; headed police academy
WARWICK -- Michael W. Lynch, 84, of Warwick Avenue, a retired detective sergeant in the Warwick Police Department and the first executive director of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy, died Saturday at Harborside Healthcare Greenwood House.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy H. (Pollitt) Lynch. Born in Warwick, a son of the late Owen F. and Ellen V. (Flanagan) Lynch, he was a lifelong resident of Warwick.
Mr. Lynch was with the Warwick Police Department for 25 years, retiring in 1972 as detective sergeant, and was appointed executive director of the Municipal Police Training Academy in Providence, retiring in 1978.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 100th Infantry Division in Europe, was taken prisoner of war, and received several citations and medals, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Mr. Lynch was past president of FOP 7, the Warwick Police Association, and the Retired Police and Fire Association of Warwick, and a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
He was a communicant of St. Timothy Church.
He leaves several nieces and nephews, and was the brother of the late John B., Eugene A., Walter R., Clarence J. and former police Chief James F. Lynch.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue. Burial with military honors will be in St. Patrick cemetery, East Greenwich.

JANET A. (BABB) PRATT - Warwick
JANET A. (BABB) PRATT, 56, of Lockhaven Road, an office worker, died Tuesday in Rhode Island Hospital.
She was the wife of Charles E. Pratt. Born in Providence, a daughter of Barbara A. (Armour) Babb of East Greenwich and the late Harold C. Babb, she lived in Providence before moving to Warwick 34 years ago.
Mrs. Pratt worked in the business office at Kent County Memorial Hospital for 15 years. She was a communicant of St. Mark Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the Cranston Rainbow Alumni.
Besides her husband and mother, she leaves a daughter, Christine S. Andrews of Coventry, and a son, Ronald A. Pratt of Warwick.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., Route 117. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Plainfield, Conn.

CORINNE S. NELSON - Cranston
CORINNE S. NELSON, 80, formerly of South Hill Drive, a secretary for the state and at Barrington College for several years, died Dec. 4 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
She was the wife of the late Victor B. Nelson. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George J. and Maisie Isabelle (Daigneault) Kenole, she had lived in the Dean Estates section of Cranston for 17 years after moving from Warwick.
At Barrington College she was a private secretary for three years. She also worked as an administrative assistant at the former Charles V. Chapin Hospital in Providence for 10 years.
She served as a nurse during World War II.
She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Sheets in Pennsylvania, Heidi L. Nelson in Rhode Island and Phyllis Parker of Nantucket, Mass.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.

CLAIRE J. CREAMER - Cranston
CLAIRE J. CREAMER, 78, of Knightsville Manor, Briggs Street, died Monday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
She was the wife of the late Arthur Creamer. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Feeney) Weeden, she had been a Cranston resident for 50 years.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Creamer of Providence; three daughters, Linda Lufkin of Warwick, Nancy Tagliaferri of Coventry and Elizabeth Creamer of Cranston; and five grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Roger Weeden and Olive Christmann.
Her funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will follow.
