WALTER P. AUBEE - Warwick

WALTER P. AUBEE, 84, of Washington Street, a retired carpenter and shipfitter, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Rosalie C. (Peck) Aubee. Born in Providence, a son of the late Eugene P. and Adile V. (Hamel) Aubee, he lived in Warwick since 1948. Mr. Aubee was a shipfitter for the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, North Kingstown, for seven years before retiring in 1982. He previously had done finish carpentry for many years, and was a member of Carpenters Union Local 94.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Aubee was a member of the Pilgrim Senior Center and a communicant of St. Peter Church. He was a former scoutmaster for Lakewood Boyscout Troop 1.

He leaves two sons, Walter P. Aubee Jr. of Stuart, Fla., and Stephen D. Aubee of Warwick; three brothers, Eugene Aubee of Harmony, Armand Aubee of Johnston, and Thomas Aubee of Hope; a sister, Lillian Katchevich of Riverside; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Anna LaCroix.

The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair St. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans cemetery, Exeter.

ALAN JOSEPH SQUICCIARINO - Warwick

ALAN JOSEPH SQUICCIARINO, 49, of Plantation, Fla., formerly of West Shore Road, Warwick, a student, died Thursday at home.

Born in Providence, a son of Maria C. (Phillips) Squicciarino and the late Joseph Squicciarino, he lived in Florida for the past three years, previously living in Oklahoma and Warwick.

Besides his mother, he leaves a sister, Audrey Whitman of Hudson, N.H.; three brothers, Glenn and Brian Squicciarino, both of Warwick, and Dennis Squicciarino of Cranston; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Friday at 7:45 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery, East Providence.

ALBERT "PETE" HENRIQUE - Tiverton

ALBERT "PETE" HENRIQUE, 69, of 47 Fernandes Ave., a custodian at Hallsmith Sysco, Norton, Mass., before he retired in 1993, died Monday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, after a brief illness.

He was the husband of Meribah (Hopkinson) Henrique. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Francisco and Rose (Paige) Henrique, he lived in Tiverton for the past 39 years.

Before working at Hallsmith Sysco, Mr. Henrique had worked at the former Bee Fiberglass. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 31 years attaining a rank of SFC/E7. He was a communicant of St. Madeleine Church and a member of its Men's Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Judith L. Walker of Portsmouth; a son, Jeffrey A. Henrique of Tiverton; a sister, Gail Henrique of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Charles Henrique of Lakeville, Mass.; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Francisco Henrique, Lorraine Manning and Madeline Bleeker.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, with a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Madeleine Church, Lake Road. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery, Fall River.

CATHERINE (WALSH) FURZE - Somerset

CATHERINE (WALSH) FURZE, 89, of Issac Street, Middleboro, Mass., a former textile worker, died Sunday in Morton Hospital, Taunton, Mass.

She was the wife of the late Charles E. Furze Jr. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late James and Catherine (McDonald) Walsh, she lived in Middleboro for 15 years.

She was a folder at Avon Curtain for several years before retiring, and previously had worked for Firestone Rubber.

Mrs. Furze was a former member of St. Joseph Church.

She leaves a daughter, Kathleen Crofton of Somerset; a sister, Margaret Plant of Westerly; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph, James, Thomas and John Walsh, Estelle Lee, Madeline Norton, Mary Griffin and Florence Levitre.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 North Main St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Joseph Church, North Main Street, Fall River. Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Fall River.

MURIEL A. NICOLL - Smithfield

MURIEL A. NICOLL, 97, of Courtland Place, formerly of Providence, a retired waitress, died Monday at Courtland Place.

She was the wife of the late John E. Nicoll. Born in Upper Port LaTour, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was a daughter of the late James and Caroline (Atwood) Snow.

Mrs. Nicoll was a waitress at the former Ernie's Spa, Providence, for 20 years before she retired in 1958.

She was a former member of Trinity Union Methodist Church, Providence.

She leaves a son, Richard Nicoll of Providence; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late K. Irving, Leland A. and Lucretia M. Snow, and Minnie E. Towne.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Stapleton-Barry-Holdredge Funeral Home, 684 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be in New Pawtuxet cemetery, Warwick.

ROSE OLIVIER, 79, formerly of Auburn Road, Wakefield, died yesterday at South County Nursing and Subacute Center, North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Charles Olivier. Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Tardif) St. Jean, she had been a resident of Warwick for many years before moving to South County in 1985.

HENRY J. ST. GERMAIN, 90, of Wrentham Manor, Bellingham, Mass., a retired truck driver and carpenter, died Friday at Mount St. Francis Health Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of Gertrude R. (St. Amant) St. Germain. Born in Slatersville on Feb. 27, 1910, a son of the late Alfred and Leda (Lemay) St. Germain, he lived in Bellingham for more than 24 years, previously residing in Blackstone, Mass., and Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Vermette. Born in Tiverton, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Richards) Hughes, she had previously lived in Fall River for many years and in Tiverton for 40 years.

Born in Swansea, a daughter of the late William Mason Chace and Anne Gardiner (Sherman) Chace, she lived in St. Petersburg since graduating as valedictorian of her class at Somerset High School.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Dr. Felix Hamburger and Emilee (Gabriel) Hamburger, she lived in Greenville for five years, previously living in Cranston for many years.
