DOMENICA CIACCIA - Providence
DOMENICA CIACCIA, 87, of Ravenswood Avenue, a retired employee of Speidel Jewelry Co., died Saturday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.
She was the wife of Michael Ciaccia. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia (Bicchieri) Olivo, she was a lifelong resident of Providence and a communicant of St. Augustine Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Michael A. Ciaccia of Providence, a grandson and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Candalora Roberti, Mary Cannizzaro, Pauline Mastrorilli, and Antonette, Matthew, John and Anthony Olivo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Mount Pleasant Avenue. Burial will be in St. Francis cemetery, Pawtucket.

DR. SIDNEY H. STONE - Providence
DR. SIDNEY H. STONE, 87, of 355 Blackstone Blvd., a retired dentist, died yesterday at Epoch on Blackstone Boulevard.
He was the husband of Rebecca K. (Kopelman) Stone. They were married
for 54 years. Born in New York City, a son of the late Julian D. and Anna G. (Grossweiner) Stone, he had lived in New York most of his life before moving to Providence in December 1994.
Dr. Stone graduated from Columbia University and from the dental program of the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he taught before entering the Army.
He served as a dentist in the Army Air Forces during World War II, achieving the rank of captain and receiving an Army commendation ribbon and plaque for meritorious service.
Dr. Stone practiced dentistry for more than 50 years in Manhattan and Larchmont, N.Y., before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the 1st District Dental Society of New York, and served as president of the 9th District.
He was a member of Temple Beth-El, the Anti-Defamation League and numerous organizations for humanitarian causes. He was a former longtime member of Larchmont Temple and its Brotherhood.
He was an avid golfer and tennis player.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Dr. William M. Stone of Providence; two daughters, Roberta Jane Stone of Palo Alto, Calif., and Julie Stone-Weinreb of Reading, Mass.; a sister, Pearl Stone Samlin of Philadelphia; and nine grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rhoda Rothchild.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. in Swan Point cemetery Chapel, 585 Blackstone Blvd.

ALBERT I. CHASE - Providence
ALBERT I. CHASE, 83, of 353 Blackstone Blvd., a retired manufacturer's representative in the housewares industry, died yesterday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.
He was the husband of the late Joan (Goldberg) Chase. A lifelong resident of Providence, he was a son of the late Jacob and Bessie (Cherwinsky) Chase.
He was the proprietor of the former Albert Chase Co. for 40 years before retiring. Mr. Chase graduated from Classical High School and was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in India.
He was a member of Temple Beth-El, and a former member of Ledgemont Country Club. He was an avid golfer.
He leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Martin Chase, Fay Kelman, Sarah Bliviss, Molly Chase, Gertrude Wolfson and Lillian Zall.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St. Burial will be in Temple Beth-El cemetery.

MILDRED M. LaCAVA - North Kingstown
MILDRED M. LaCAVA, 81, of Meadow Lane, Bethel, Conn., a homemaker, died Friday in Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick.
She was the wife of the late Joseph N. LaCava. Born in Danbury, Conn., a daughter of the late Cornelius and Sofia (Cantone) Straiton, she attended Danbury schools.
She leaves two sons, Cornelius J. LaCava of Fort Myers, Fla., and James LaCava of Southbury, Conn.; a daughter, Paulette Osterman of North Kingstown; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebratd Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Bethel. Burial will be in St. Peter cemetery, Danbury.

JOHN F. LANGWELL - Narragansett
JOHN F. LANGWELL, 73, of Muratore Lane, the former town secretary for Seekonk, and a substance-abuse counselor, died Saturday Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Ann L. (Flynn) Langwell. Born in Providence, a son of the late John F. and Catherine (Murphy) Langwell, he lived in Narragansett for 3 years, previously living in Seekonk.
He had been the executive secretary for the Town of Seekonk for many years, and later became a substance-abuse counselor for SSTAR for many years, and still worked there part-time.
He was a graduate of La Salle Academy, Providence, and Bryant College, and earned a master's degree at Rhode Island College.
He was an Army veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, John M. Langwell of Pawtucket, Kevin F. Langwell of Lawrence, Kan., and Dennis J. Langwell of Franklin, Mass.; two sister, Jean Hill of East Providence and Veronica Hynes of Narragansett; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from Fagan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery, East Providence.

JOHN P. GLORIEUX - Middletown
JOHN P. GLORIEUX, 77, of 202 Indian Ave., a retired international banker, died Saturday at Newport Hospital.
He was the husband of Aline Glorieux. Born in Newton, Mass., he was a son of the late John C. and Lillian (McCormick) Glorieux.
He worked in the international banking department of Morgan Guarantee Trust for many years as deputy chairman of the Brussels office, chairman of Morgan Guarantee, Switzerland, and director of Latin American banking headquarters in Miami. He later worked as the head of international operations for the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust National Bank.
He was a graduate of Georgetown University, with a degree in interantional relations. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific, flying a B-24 and earning many decorations. He was discharged from the Reserves in 1946 as a captain.
He was a member of the Clambake Club, Newport, Quindecim, the Aquidneck Island Land Trust, the Victorian Military Society, the Naval War College Foundation, and the Preservation Society of Newport County. He was a governor of the Newport Hospital.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, John H. Glorieux of Vero Beach, Fla., Michael A.P. Glorieux of New York City, Jamie P. Glorieux of Los Angeles and Alec P. Glorieux of Washington, D.C.; two stepdaughters, Cayre Michas and Michele MacPherson, both of New York City; a brother, Robert C. Glorieux of Dedham, Mass.; and five grandchildren. He was the father of the late Peter M. and Robert G. Glorieux.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in St. Columba Berkeley Memorial Chapel, Vaucluse Avenue. Burial will follow.

LOUISE CONOVER - Johnston
LOUISE CONOVER, 72, of Cavalcade Boulevard, a retired solderer, died Saturday in Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Edith B. (Potter) Collins, she lived in Johnston for five years, previously living in Providence. She worked at various local jewelry companies, including Coro Mfg., for 40 years, retiring in 1991.
She leaves two sons, Mark W. Conover, with whom she lived, and Arnold M. Conover of Providence; a brother, Clifford Collins of Warwick; two sisters, Adelaide Carpenter and Thelma O'Brien, both of Warwick; a companion, Nicholas Lauriola of Providence; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchidren. She was the mother of the late Raymond F. Conover, grandmother of the late Arnold Conover, and sister of the late Charles Collins, Philip Carpenter and Hazel Tatro.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
