AGNES M. NAGLE - Jamestown
AGNES M. NAGLE, 89, of High Street, a retired secretary, died Sunday at home. Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Finnegan) Sheehan, she was a resident of Jamestown for more than 40 years.
A secretary in the business administration office of the University of Rhode Island for 20 years, she retired in 1977.
She was a communicant of St. Mark Church.
She leaves a son, Michael Nagle of Glenrock, N.J.; a daughter, Mary J. Nagle of Jamestown; and two grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Emmett Nagle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Narragansett Avenue. Burial will be in St. Mark cemetery.

WILFRID LAVOIE - Fall River
WILFRID LAVOIE, 94, of Kimwell Nursing Home, New Boston Road, a retired federal employee, died yesterday at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Ida (Ouellette) Lavoie. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Alphonse and Adelia (Godbout) Lavoie, he lived in the city all his life.
Mr. Lavoie was employed by the Public Work Station at Naval Center-Newport, before retiring in 1969. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and gardening.
Mr. Lavoie was a member of the Holy Name Society of Notre Dame Parish.
He leaves three daughters, Rochelle Morency of Voluntown, Conn., Gertrude Gryncewicz of Somerset and Marguerite Davis of Rehoboth; a son, Andre W. Lavoie of Tiverton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three nephews. He was the brother of the late Rita Lavoie and Rhea Roy.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, Eastern Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery.

JOHN M. CORREIA JR. - Fall River
JOHN M. CORREIA JR., 49, of 80 Brown Street, an electrician, died Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Olivia (Pimental) Correia. A lifelong Fall River resident, he was a son of Irene (Medeiros) Correia of Fall River and the late John P. Correia.
Mr. Correia was an electrician with the Brayton Point Power Plant, Somerset, for 19 years.
He was a graduate of Diman Regional High School.
Mr. Correia was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church.
Besides his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Keith J. and John K. Correia, both of Lakeland, Fla.; a stepson, Christopher Hayes, a daughter, Kerrianne Bettencourt, and a brother, Steven J. Correia, all of Fall River; a sister, Patricia Barboza of Lakeland, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 North Main St. with a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Joseph's Church, North Main Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

EDWARD W. WARGAT - Fall River
EDWARD W. WARGAT, 79, of 167 Crawford St., a former electronics technician, died unexpectedly Sunday at St. Anne's Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary (Clairmont) Wargat. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Karol and Catherine (Turczek) Wargat, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Wargat was an electronic technician at the former Clevepack for 15 years, before retiring in 1982, and previously had worked at at Honeywell.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sisters, Stella Standell of Dunedin, Fla., Bernice Dufresne of Fall River and Josephine Wargat of Monson, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John and Walter Wargat.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Patrick's Church, South Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery.

EMMA A. CLARK - East Providence
EMMA A. CLARK, 90, of Holland Avenue, Riverside, a former waitress, died Sunday at the Miriam Hospital, Providence.
She was the wife of the late Walter H. Clark. Born in Barrington, a daughter of the late Michael and Theresa (Pege) Oliva, she lived in the Riverside section of East Providence for 70 years. Mrs. Clark had worked as a waitress at the former Gibson's Resaurant for six years, at the former Collonade, in Crescent Park, for many years, and at the Palms Restaurant for many years. She also had worked in central distribution for Cherry & Webb Co. She leaves a daughter, Patricia Najarian of Cranston; two sons, Robert O. and David M. Clark, both of East Providence; two sisters, Edith Piccerelli and Ethel DeSisto, both of Barrington; a brother, Arthur Oliva of Providence; and six grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Antonetta Lombardi, Ruth Ruggieri, Clara Viall, and Pasquale and James Oliva.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.

JAMES F. DUARTE - East Providence
JAMES F. DUARTE, 89, of Roger Williams Avenue, Rumford, a former textile worker, died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in East Providence, a son of the late Joseph S. and Maria (Ferreira) Duarte, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a member of the Class of 1930 at East Providence High School, where he was active in sports before his graduation.
Mr. Duarte worked as a dyer for the former Cook's Yarn & Dye Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1983.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. He was a member of the East Providence Sons of Italy, and the East Providence Bowling League.
He leaves a sister, Josephine Duarte, with whom he lived; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Pimentel, Anna Wakefield, and Anthony and Frank Duarte.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Margaret Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary cemetery, Pawtucket.

FRANCIS E. KIRKWOOD - East Providence
FRANCIS E. KIRKWOOD, 75, of 144 South Blossom St., a retired maintenance worker, died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
He was the husband of Rosemary (Burlingame) Kirkwood. A lifelong East Providence resident, he was a son of the late Robert and Amy (Bray) Kirkwood.

GLADYS M. CATHERS - East Providence
GLADYS M. CATHERS, 87, of Elmhurst Extended Care, in Providence, and formerly of Stowe Avenue, Riverside, died Sunday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence.
She was the wife of the late George D. Cathers. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edson H. and Winifred E. (Ford) Durfee, she lived in the Riverside section of East Providence for 20 years. She is survived by two sons, Thomas D. Cathers of North Kingstown and Alan F. Cathers of Barrington; two daughters, Sharon L. Dalessio of Barrington and Janet A. DeRosa of Seekonk; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late George H. Durfee, Ethel D. Irons and Mabel Dawley. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a service at 10 in People's Baptist Church, 1275 Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
