EAST PROVIDENCE- Milhomme, Kendra J., 25, of Burton Ave., died Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Rhode Island Hospital.
Born July 10, 1983, in Pawtucket, she was the beloved daughter of Carolyn (Medeiros) and Richard Burgess of Riverside and Kenneth Milhomme of Green Brier, TN.
Kendra was formerly a volunteer at the Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence and had previously worked at TJ Maxx in Seekonk, MA.
In addition to her parents, she leaves a daughter, Morgan J. Milhomme of Riverside; and her best friend and father of Morgan, Stephen M. Soares of Westport, MA; three sisters, Charlotte A. Chaffin of Cumberland, CarrieAnn T. Crowder of Riverside and Renee Milhomme of NH; her grandmother, Joanna Roies Oliveira of Rehoboth, MA; six nieces and nephews, Jarred, Xander, Devin, Shannon, Aaron and Jenna; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her funeral will begin Saturday at 8:45 am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave, Seekonk, MA. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm.
Jose Armando Botelho
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores on Mar. 22, 1946
Departed on Sep. 17, 2008 and resided in Rumford, RI.
EAST PROVIDENCE – Botelho, Jose Armando, 62, of Puritan Ave., Rumford, died peacefully at home, Wednesday evening, September 17, 2008. He was the loving husband of Liberta (Silva) Botelho.
Born March 22, 1946, in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose and Maria dos Santos Botelho. Mr. Botelho was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. He has worked for American Insulated Wire since he came to this country in 1977.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, he leaves his children, Paulo Botelho of Seekonk, Rui A. Botelho of Rumford and Bella C. Botelho, also of Rumford; and his four granddaughters, Sabrina, Selena, Tara and Elana. He was the brother of Grace Young of Bermuda, and of Joao Botelho, Alda Botelho, Leonor Botelho and Eduarda Botelho, all of Sao Miguel.
His funeral will begin Monday at 8am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Sunday 4-8pm.
Joshua Luke Milliron

EAST PROVIDENCE – Milliron, Joshua Luke, 16, of Warren Ave., died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Hasbro Children's Hospital.
Born January 1, 1992, in North Providence, he was a son of Kerri (Blanchette) Milliron and of the late Brian Milliron. He was the grandson of Nancy Eckstein, Gerry and Ron Milliron, Christine Eubar, Barbara Porter, Rene Blanchette and was the great-grandson, Frances White. He loved video games and was an avid reader. Joshua cherished his friends, in person and online, and how much they meant to him.
In addition to his mother, Joshua is survived by his aunti, Kimberly Ascenio, with whom he lived; his sister, Stephanie Blanchette; his brothers, Brian William Milliron, Thomas Ascenio, Michael Ascenio, Christopher Ascenio and Jeremy Levesque. He was the nephew of Shawn Eubar, Bobbie Ann Warner, Mellisa Eubar-Hill, Jason and Jamie Blanchette, Rhonda Blanchette, Rene Blanchette Jr., Michael Blanchette, Donna Blanchette, Kristine Travis and Kelly Travis-Vieira. He also leaves many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours 2pm to 4pm, Saturday, September 20, in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
George E. Bassett Jr.
Born in East Providence, RI on Jun. 5, 1925
Departed on Sep. 12, 2008 and resided in Riverside, RI.
EAST PROVIDENCE – Bassett Jr., George E., 83, of Elinora St., Riverside, passed into his eternal rest with his loving family by his side Friday evening, September 12, 2008 at the Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Doris (Lusignan) Bassett.
Born June 5, 1925, in East Providence, he was the son of the late George E. and Harriet Alice (Talbot) Bassett. Mr. Bassett was a WWII veteran serving with the US Army Air Corps.
He will be remembered for living life with a thirst for knowledge, and his diverse interests of art, reading, computers, fishing, whitewater rafting and hot air ballooning.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl A. Pimental and her husband Dennis of Johnston, Richard D. Bassett and his wife Claudette of Riverside, and Deborah E. Bassett and her husband Steven Thomas of Woodstock, VT; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his sister, Janice Kapp of North Port, FL.
A memorial service will begin Wednesday at 11am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 10 Turner Ave., Riverside. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

John Peter Tamer
Born in Providence, RI on Aug. 25, 1955
Departed on Sep. 12, 2008 and resided in Seekonk, MA.
SEEKONK – Tamer, John Peter, 53, of Fall River Ave., died unexpectedly at home, Friday Sept. 12 2008. Born Aug. 25, 1955, in Providence, he was a son of Peter and Annabelle (Niles) Tamer of Seekonk.
John was an avid musician and was well known for his guitar skills.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his children, Jillian Tamer and Peter Tamer and his sister, Kathy Vieira, all of Seekonk.
His funeral will begin Friday at 8:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave. (Rte. 44), Seekonk. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8pm.
Gabriel Dias Ledo
Born in Rabo De Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores on Jun. 4, 1938
Departed on Jul. 28, 2008 and resided in Providence, RI.
PROVIDENCE – Ledo, Gabriel Dias, 70, died at home Monday morning, July 28, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria Dias Ledo.
Born June 4, 1938 in Rabo De Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Tavares Ledo and Maria Dos Anjos Dias. Mr. Ledo came to the US in 1973 and worked at American Insulated Wire before retiring.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his five sons, Paul Ledo, Jose Ledo, and David Ledo, all of Warwick, and Luis Ledo and Mario Ledo, both of Providence and 14 grandchildren. He was the brother of Antonio Dias Ledo, Maria Da Conceicao Dias Ledo, and Maria De Fatima Dias Ledo, all of Canada, and Jose Domingos Dias Ledo of the Azores.
His funeral will be Thursday at 9:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-8pm.
Miles W. Preskitt
Born in Oklahoma on Aug. 23, 1918
Departed on Jul. 24, 2008 and resided in Providence, RI.
Preskitt, Lt. Cmdr. Miles W. 89, died July 24, 2008. He was the husband of Patricia A. Preskitt.
He worked as an Industrial Engineer for US Gypsum Co. for 33 years before retiring in 1978. He was a retired US Navy veteran serving during WWII. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, Little Rhody Chapter 2. He was a graduate of Texas A&M; Class of 41. He was a graduate of Pensacola USNAS Class of 42.
Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by his daughters, Judith Marecki and her husband Edward both of Barrington, Jo Marie Maxson of Providence, his 3 granddaughters; Samara, Marisha and Tatiana and 4 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9AM from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway East Providence, RI. A Funeral Service will be held at 10AM in St. Martin's Church, 50 Orchard St. Providence, RI. Burial with Military Honors will follow in RI Veteran's Memorial cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 6-7:30PM.
