Dorsey, Ronald George, 67, of Pawtucket Ave. died may 25, 2008 at home. He was born in East Providence, the son of the late Wilbert E. and Florence (DeLomba) Dorsey.
He worked as a caster for Scott Brass Inc. for 35 years before retiring in 2004. He was a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his children; James Dorsey of Cranston, Kimberly Peterson of Utah, and Lisa Dorsey of CA. He is survived by his grandchildren; Marissa Wilson, Megan Peterson and Jason Peterson. He leaves his sisters; Barbara Ann Richards of East Providence, Shirley Colafrancesco of Providence and his brother Wilbert E. Dorsey Jr. of Warwick.
The funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30PM in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway East Providence, RI. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8PM. Lucille P. Daigle Horton
EAST PROVIDENCE – Daigle Horton, Lucille (Greco), age 58, of Goldsmith Ave., died surrounded by her loving family, Monday afternoon, May 26, 2008. She was the wife of the late Rudolph Daigle and of the late Earl Horton.
Born in Providence, Jan. 23, 1950, she was a daughter of the late James and Madeline (Santa Maria) Greco.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn M. Daigle of Pawtucket and Sherri A. Daigle of Chepachet; her four grandchildren, Paige, Cassidy, Brook and Christian; her sister, Doreen McKenna of Cranston; and her brothers, Vincent "Jimmy" Greco of East Greenwich and Richard Greco.
A service of remembrance will take place Thursday evening at 7pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-7pm.
Walter L. Cruz
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores on Nov. 16, 1954

SEEKONK - Cruz, Walter L., 53, of Briarwood Dr. died unexpectedly May 25, 2008 in Maine. Born Nov. 16, 1954 in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the beloved son of Gil S. and Maria C. (Furtado) Cruz of Seekonk.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sons, Kyle and Zachary Cruz and their mother Denise (Murphy) Cruz, all of Coventry; his siblings, Mario Cruz, Jorge Cruz, Elia Mills and Sonya Cruz; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
His funeral will be Saturday at 8:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Friday evening 6-8pm.
Mary D. Robertson
Born in Providence, RI on Oct. 17, 1937

Robertson, Mary D., 70, of Miles Ave. died May 30, 2008 at home. She was the wife of the late John W. Robertson Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio and Domenica (Zito) Minicucci.
She was a cafeteria worker in the school lunch program for the City of East Providence.
She is survived by 2 children; Patricia A. Francis of East Providence and John W. Robertson Jr. of Rumford. She was the loving grandmother of Corey, Jamie, Caitlin and Shannon. She was the sister of the late Anthony and Cosmo Minicucci and Pasqualena DiFruscio.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway East Providence, RI, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Ave. East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8PM. Family requests that flowers kindly be omitted.
Richard A. Gamble
Born in Deer River, MN on Oct. 25, 1930

PROVIDENCE – Gamble, Richard A., age 77, of Medway St., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Born Oct. 25, 1930, in Deer River, MN, he was a son of the late Ronald and Avis (Key) Gamble. Mr. Gamble served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He retired from RIDCO Casting, Pawtucket. His enjoyed fishing and was an avid football and baseball fan.
He leaves his children, Gloria Regan of Griswald, CT, Joanne Hunchard of Eau Claire, WI, Linda Peloquin of Rehoboth, MA, Jane Schmidt of Schroon Lake, NY, Pam Szczerbaty, of Canyon County, CA, Ronald Gamble of Cranston, and James Gamble of Cranston; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and his brother, Roger Gamble of Port Haywood, VA.
He was the father of the late Richard A. Gamble, Jr., and former husband of Hilda Gamble and the late Rose M. Gamble.
Funeral services will be private with military honors and burial at the Rhode Island Veterans cemetery. Arrangements through the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, East Providence.

Paul F. Lopes Sr.
Born in East Providence, RI on Nov. 11, 1936
Departed on Jun. 9, 2008 and resided in Pawtucket, RI.
Lopes, Paul F. Sr., age 71, of Stephanie Dr., presently a resident at the Orchard View Manor in East Providence, died Monday, June 9 at the Memorial Hospital of Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of Anne J. (O'Hern) Lopes.
Born Nov. 7, 1936, he was a son of the late Anthony and Mary (Silva-Sousa) Lopes. Mr. Lopes was a former member of The Northern Rhode Island Hawg Haulers Bass Fishing Club. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for many community organizations. He also enjoyed working as a bus monitor for the East Providence School Dept. He served as a Marine in the US Marine Corps.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he leaves his children, Joanne Vieira and Paul F. Lopes Jr. both of East Providence; 3 grandchildren; and his silblings, Madeline Marabello of Bristol, Dorothy Sroga of Cumberland, Thomas Lopes of East Providence, and James Lopes of Oregon. He was the brother of the late Anthony and Joseph Lopes.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 11am in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in the RI Veteran's cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8pm.
Jose Freitas Alves
Born in Madeira, Portugal on Sep. 25, 1912

PAWTUCKET- Freitas, Jose, age 95, formerly of Pawtucket died at home in Davenport, FL, on Sunday, June 8, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Maria Lourdes Moniz (Coelho) Freitas Alves.
Born Sept. 25, 1912 in Madeira, Portugal, he was a son of the late Jose and Antonia (Paixao) Frietas Alves. In 1923, at the age of 11, Mr. Freitas moved with his family to Sao Miguel, Azores. In 1962 he served as President of `Grupo Des Portino Commercial, in Sao Miguel, Azores. He worked for Engo. Luis Gomes for 25 yrs. before coming to the US in 1966. He then worked as a mechanic for the state of RI for 22 yrs., retiring in 1978.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Roberto N. and Mariana C. Freitas of Davenport, FL; a 4 grandchildren, Carlos R., Michael D., Marta G. and Ricardo T. Freitas; 4 great-grandchildren, Megan, Colin, Ariana and Gabriella; his siblings, Rev. Fernando Freitas of East Providence, and Antero Freitas of Seatle, WA.; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel, Joao, Basilio, Antonio and Maria Freitas, and Deolinda Freitas-Amaral.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at the Church of the Presentation of Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., No. Providence. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8pm.
