He was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Pina) Vierra.
He was the brother of Barbara Gobern, Elaine Pilon, Caroline Vierra, Mark Vierra all of East Providence, James Vierra of Scituate, Michael Vierra of Providence, Jean McAdams of Ohio and of the late Gary and Henry "Tony" Vierra. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His funeral will begin Tuesday at 8am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence.
Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8pm.
Eva Bento
Born in Providence, RI on Nov. 7, 1916
Departed on Dec. 18, 2009 and resided in Providence, RI.
PROVIDENCE - Bento, Eva, age 93, formerly of John St., died peacefully, Friday evening, Dec. 18, 2009.
Born Nov. 7, 1916, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joao Bento and Libana (Pires) Bento-Enos.
She was a member of the Sheldon Street Church.
She leaves her brother, Walter Enos, her niece, Audrey Perry, and her nephew, John Fortes, all of Providence, and many great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Perry-Evora, Gladys and Isabella Bento, Ida Fortes, and John Enos.
Her funeral will begin Tuesday at 11am at the Sheldon Street Church, 51 Sheldon St., Providence.
Burial will follow at the North Burial Ground.

Mafalda Mendes Barros
Born in Praia, Cape Verde Island on Jun. 10, 1941
Departed on Oct. 23, 2010 and resided in Central Falls, RI.
Barros, Mafalda Mendes, age 69, of Cross St., died at home Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 2010. She was the wife of Daniel Conceicao Barros.
Born June 10, 1941, in Praia, Cape Verde Islands, she was a daughter of the late Teofelo Correia Mendes and Maria Dias.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Alexandrina, Danielson, Auxilio, Helder, Jaime G., Arthur J., Paulo C., Justilino, and Maria Conceicao; 27 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Carlos Alberto.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-5pm and also Saturday from 2-5pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, Nov. 7, at 2pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 290 Arcade Ave., Seekonk, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Aurora M Teixeira
Born in Fogo, Cape Verde Island on Oct. 31, 1930
Departed on Nov. 25, 2010 and resided in Pawtucket, RI.
Teixeira, Aurora M., age 80, of Reservoir Ave., died November 25, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Fogo, Cape Verde Island, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Barbosa and Agda Teixeira.
Aurora worked as an assembler for Providence Metalizing for several years.
She is survived by her sons, Ildoberto Teixeira of Malden, MA, Joao Teixeira of Holland, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her brother Antonio Teixeira of Dorchester, MA.
She was the mother of the late Antonio, Manuel and Orlando Teixeira.
The funeral will begin on Wednesday at 8 AM from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, No. Carpenter St., East Providence.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 PM.

Isabel A. Gonsalves

EAST PROVIDENCE – Gonsalves, Isabel A. (Amado), age 98, of Irving Ave., died Saturday morning, February 16, 2008 at the Linn Health Care Center.
She was the wife of the late Louis Gonsalves.
Born January 11, 1910, in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Constance (Burgo) Amado.
Mrs. Gonsalves was the last surviving founding member of the Cape Verdean Progressive Center, East Providence.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance Shorts, and son, John Reis Jr., both of East Providence; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Ralph Gonsalves Sr.
Her funeral will be Wednesday at 11am in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary cemetery, Pawtucket.
Calling hours will be Wednesday morning 10am to 11am.
