Janice (Tremblay) Avery, 63 years young of Largo, Florida, formerly of West Warwick, RI passed away unexpectedly on Friday 29th October.
She was the wife of the late Roland Avery of West Warwick, RI.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Chouinard) Tremblay
She leaves behind her daughter Sandi and granddaughter Trista, both of Largo, Florida, she was the sister of: the late Anita Lemois of West Warwick, RI, Gerard Tremblay of Fall River, MA, Albert Tremblay of Petersburg, VA, Maurice Tremblay of Temple Hills, MD, Janet Walker of Milton, VT, and Robert (Samuel) Tremblay of Zainzeville, OH., and many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
Janice took joy in crocheting hats and mittens for donation to the needy every year. She worked at Leviton in Warwick, RI and APC in East Providence, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Saturday from 9:00-11:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Glenwood cemetery, East Greenwich.
Alice M. (Ducharme) Paquin

Alice M. (Ducharme) Paquin, 90, of Coventry, died peacefully at Riverview Health Care of Coventry on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Born in New Bedford, MA she was a daughter of the late John A. Ducharme and Emma (Authier) Ducharme. She was the wife of the late Patrick J. Paquin.
Mrs. Paquin was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a Life Member of the Ladies Auxillary, VFW # 39 of Cranston, and served as State President of the Ladies Auxillary of V.F.H. from 1980 to 1981. She enjoyed knitting hats for babies at hospitals, knitting over 400 of them.
She leaves her five children: Dr. Paul G. Paquin and his wife Lynn of Roy, Utah, Jacqueline Clattenburg and her late husband Charles of Gainsville, Virginia, Lucille Buterbaugh and her husband Jerry of West Warwick, Paulette Remppel and her husband Richard of New Rochelle, new York, and Patricia Scheel and her husband Clifford of Prineville, Oregon. She was the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 8:15 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Joseph Church Building Fund, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI 02893 would be appreciated.

Monica M. (Enright) Garvey, 96, a homemaker formerly of Exeter, passed away Saturday at the Village at Waterman Lake. She was the wife of the late John J. Garvey. Born in Canada, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Mary E. (Wilson) Enright.
She was the beloved mother of John F. Garvey of Woodbridge, VA, Gerald T. Garvey of Crownsville, MD, Thomas J. Garvey of Saunderstown and Monica M. McElroy of Riverside. Loving grandmother of eighteen and great grandmother of forty. She was the sister of the late William, Eugene and Herman Enright, Hildegard Hammer, Ann Bergeron, Loretta Sabella, Ursula Houle, Sr. St. Josephine and Rita Tortolani.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery, West Greenwich. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Helen (Szymanski) Tarsa, 94, of St. Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, passed away Friday at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Tarsa. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Kunegunda Szymanski; she had lived in Warwick before moving to East Greenwich 7 years ago.
Mrs. Tarsa was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the beloved mother of Lillian M. Richards and her husband Brian of Warwick. Loving grandmother of David M. Richards of Minnesota, Robert E. Richards of Maine and the late Tracy E. Dingmon. Cherished great grandmother of seven. She was the sister of the late John and Charles Szymanski, Mary Bukowski and Bertha DiMartino.

Richard J. Blake, Sr., 84, of North Kingstown died Sunday at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the husband of the late Frances H. (McDole) Blake, R.N. Born in Providence, a son of the late John H. Blake and Emma (Fredette) Stetson.
He was employed as an aircraft instrument mechanic at Quonset Point Naval Air Station until his retirement.
He is survived by his devoted son Richard J. Blake, Jr. and his wife Katheryn D. Blake of Southbury, CT; his sister Margaret Rajotte of West Warwick; 3 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John H. Blake, Jr. and Madeline DeFosse.
His Graveside Committal Service will be held Tuesday November 16m 2010 at 11:15 am in The R.I. Veterans Memorial cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited.

Patricia S. (Ray) Carlow-Urrico, 64, of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of West Warwick, passed away peacefully Friday, October 29, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of Paul Urrico. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Beatrice (Lemay) Ray and the late John Ray, Jr.
Mrs. Urrico was an Office Manager for Valley Country Club in West Warwick and a self employed Tax Consultant until her retirement in 2005. She was a graduate of West Warwick High School and C.C.R.I.
She was the mother of Richard Carlow and his wife Dawn, Tina Carlow and Lisa Butler. Grandmother of Jake Butler and Gage Carlow. Sister of Phillip Ray, John Ray, III and Cynthia Roy and Shirley McGuire. Robert A. Cottrell

Robert A. Cottrell, 84, of Coventry, died Saturday November 13, 2010 at R.I. Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Jacobs) Cottrell. Devoted father of Robert E. Cottrell of Charlestown, RI. Loving grandfather and great grandfather.
He retired in 1990 as a loan officer at the R.I. Hospital Trust National Bank after 32 years of service.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Earl A. and Claire E. (Swan) Cottrell. He proudly served in The U.S. Navy during WW II and the Korean War. He was an alumnus of The University of Bridgeport. Mr. Cottrell served as coach and treasurer of the Coventry Babe Ruth League for 15 years.
Treasurer of Washington Methodist Church in Coventry; a life member of Providence College Hockey Association; past Master of Rhodes Lodge #44 F&AM; and a member of AARP
His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday November 17, 2010 at 11:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday 4 to 7 pm. Doris E. Doiron

Doris E. Doiron, 88, of Wakefield Street, West Warwick, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. She was the daughter of the late Aime and Jeannette (Vallee) Doiron. Born in Warwick, Doris lived in Rhode Island all her life.
She worked for the American Optical Company in their Providence and East Providence offices for 27 years until her retirement in 1990. Doris enjoyed her role as family historian. She also loved to Crochet and Knit - always surprising friends and family with beautiful hand-made clothing items.
She is survived by her sister, Yvette Dutilly of Avon, CT, her sister Loella DiMeo of Johnston and her brother Henry “Hank” Doiron and his wife Patricia of Coventry. She was the sister of the late Louis Doiron.
She was loved dearly and will be missed by her 14 nieces and nephews and her 10 great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday 5-7 pm.
