Mary (Pacheco) Lague, 101, of Roberts Street, West Warwick, passed away Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Lague.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Silvia) Pacheco.
Mrs. Lague was a Lace Worker for Pawtuxet Valley Mills for many years, retiring in 1965.
She was the beloved sister in law of Claire Pacheco, Beatrice Pacheco, Philomena Pacheco and Robert Lague, all of West Warwick. Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Edward, Anthony, Frank, Joseph and Sam Pacheco, Georgiana Theroux and Angelina Rossi.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Thursday from 8:00-9:00 am in THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St.
Anthony's Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick.
Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial cemetery, Exeter.

Douglas F. Smith Sr.

Douglas F. Smith Sr., 71, of Springfield, VA, formerly of North Kingstown, died peacefully at Inova Hospital, Fairfax, VA on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Roderick L. Smith, Sr. and Stella G. (Leonard) Smith.
Mr. Smith owned and operated the former Douglas F. Smith Refrigeration and Air Conditioning of North Kingstown, before moving to California, where he owned and operated All-Temp Services. He was a 1957 graduate of North Kingstown High School and a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wickford. Doug was a true and loyal friend who loved golfing, traveling, and making new friends.
He was the loving father of Lucy Michelle Smith of Springfield, VA and the late Douglas F. Smith, Jr. He was the brother of Roderick L. Smith and his wife Patricia of North Kingstown and Florida and the uncle of one nephew and three nieces, all of Rhode Island.
His Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in Elm Grove cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to The Salvation Army, 6835 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated. Mildred L. (Sheldon) LeBlanc, 88, a homemaker of Warwick, passed away Wednesday at Greenwood House Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was the wife of the late Rene LeBlanc. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mildred (Barber) Sheldon.
She was the beloved mother of Robert R. LeBlanc of Warwick and the late Richard R. LeBlanc. Loving grandmother of Linda C. Artisani and Lisa C. Smith. Cherished great grandmother of three and the late Michael Russo. She was the sister of the late Olive Ballou and Everett and Norman Sheldon.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial cemetery, North Kingstown.
Evelyn L. (Hambly) Gardiner

Evelyn L. (Hambly) Gardiner, 84, a homemaker of Warwick, passed away Friday at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Howard J. Gardiner for 67 years. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ella (Rice) Hambly.
Mrs. Gardiner was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Warwick. She served on the Board of Directors of The Warwick Boys & Girls Club for many years.
She was the beloved mother of Michael J. Gardiner and James B. Gardiner, both of Burrillville, Howard J. Gardiner, Jr. of Sharpsburg, GA and Mark H. Gardiner of North Kingstown. Caring sister of Olive Gardiner, Gladys Levin, Jean Le Doux and Joan Knight. Loving grandmother of eleven, great grandmother of six and great great grandmother of two.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday 4-8 pm.

Antonio C. Pimentel, 72, of Main Street, West Warwick, passed away Sunday at Kent Hospital. Born in Ribeira Quente, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio Rego Pimentel and Maria (Correia) Pimentel.
Mr. Pimentel was a Machine Operator for Leviton Mfg. Co. for 16 years until his retirement.
He was the father of Antonio M. Pimentel, Joseph F. Pimentel Liberto Pimentel and Denis Pimentel, all of West Warwick, Armindo R. Pimentel of Warwick and Eduardo L. Pimentel of Coventry. Grandfather of nineteen and great grandfather of three. He was the brother of the late Carlos and Joao Pimentel.

Anna M. (Pettinato) Johnson, 80, of Warwick, died peacefully at Kent Hospital on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin S. Pettinato and Rose (D'Anella) Pettinato. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson was a jewelry worker for P. & B. Manufacturing Co. for many years. She was a communicant of St. Kevin Church and was devoted her to her parish.
She leaves her daughter, Donna M. Laflamme of Warwick. She was the loving grandmother of Deanna M. Flinn, Tara R. Laflamme and great-grandmother of Logan and Brianna Flinn.

Vincenzo James D'Ambrosca, 91, of Cranston, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Giovanni D'Ambrosca and Lucia (Raimondo) D'Ambrosca. He was the husband of the late Anna T. (Papa) D'Ambrosca. The couple were married
for 39 years.
Mr. D'Ambrosca, who opened his first jewelry store in 1942, was President of Garden City Jewelers, Inc. After retirement, he was the owner and operator Fraternal Jewelers. He was a Knight of Columbus, avid Golfer, and Founding Member of the Alpine Country Club.
He leaves his two children: Robert J. D'Ambrosca of Richmond, and Bonnie S. DeBalsi and her husband Paul G. of Cranston. He was the loving grandfather of Matthew, Justin, and Paul DeBalsi; Cherished brother of Mary Conti of Cranston and the late Salvatore D'Ambrosca, Frank D'Ambrosca, and Angelina Trombetti.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Carol A. Costa, of West Warwick passed away Friday at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the former wife of Vincent Testa. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Cabral) Costa.
Mrs. Costa served as a Supervisor and Driver of the Foster Grandparent Program of West Bay Community Action until her retirement. She was a member of SS John & James Parish in West Warwick. Carol was a Doll Collector and member of the Wildberry Tenants Association.
She was the beloved mother of Diane C. Colwell of Coventry. Loving grandmother of Michael V. Colwell, Cory E. Colwell and Raymond G. Colwell.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John The Baptist Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick.
