Karen G. Coughlin, 50, of North Kingstown died peacefully at home on Monday, October 26, 2010. Born in Dayton, OH, she was a daughter of the late Richard H. Petty and Beverly A. (Borden) Petty.
Karen worked as a medical office assistant in various offices. She loved spending time with her two children, decorating for holidays, and was a lover of animals.
She leaves her two children: Daniel J. Coughlin of Texas and Meghan A. Coughlin of North Kingstown. She was the loving sister of Anne P. Shoener of North Kingstown, Richard H. Petty, Jr. and his wife Karen of Summerville, South Carolina, Kenneth E. Petty of Port Charlotte, FL, and Nathaniel J. Petty of West Greenwich, RI. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Elm Grove cemetery, Wickford. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, 500 Stony Lane, North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated. Aneve M. (Arsenault) Fluette, 70, of Coventry passed away Friday at home. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Fluette. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Eva (Brooks) Arsenault.
Mrs. Fluette was an Accounts Payable Clerk for Foxwoods, Inc. until her retirement in 2006.
She was the loving mother of Raymond J. Fluette of Westerly, Randy J. Fluette of Warwick, Richard J. Fluette of Coventry and Sandra J. Morisseau of Coventry. Caring sister of Alvin Arsenault of Warwick, Agnes M. “Donna” Perry of Seekonk and the late Andrew Arsenault. Cherished grandmother of seven.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 7:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in SS John and Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry. Robert W. Johnson, formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on November 26, 2009. Born in Warwick, he was the beloved son of Vincent I. Johnson and the late Seraphina (Serpa) Johnson, who passed away on Saturday.
Mr. Johnson was a self employed Landscaper.
He was the loving brother of Vincent P. Johnson, Patricia Sheridan and Fern Johnson, all of Coventry and Laurie Johnson of Johnston.
The funeral for Robert and his mother Seraphina will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Cheryl A. (McCarthy) Johnston, 62, a lifelong resident of Warwick, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Norman W. Johnston, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Angela A. (Sartori) McCarthy.
Mrs. Johnston was a Homemaker who enjoyed her life to the fullest; Cheryl loved and cared for her family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Norman W. Johnston, III of Coventry, her daughter, Kim A. Hazelwood of Warwick, her two sisters, Sandra A. Porter of Florida and Deborah A. Lussier of Exeter. She was the cherished grandmother of six and the sister of the late Colleen M. Taddie.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 9:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick. William R. Kahrhoff, 68, of Warwick passed away Wednesday at home. He was the beloved husband of Mary E. (Miranda) Kahrhoff. Born in Albers, IL, he was a son of the late August and Alma (Broechling) Kahrhoff.
Mr. Kahrhoff was a machinist for Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. for over 25 years and served in The United States Navy. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Warwick, the Cranston Fish & Game Club and enjoyed his Thursday night card group.
He was the loving father of Gregory P. Kahrhoff of Greene, Brian W. Kahrhoff of West Warwick and Viki-kay M. Kahrhoff of Warwick. Cherished grandfather of Andrew, Kathryn, Alexandra, Christopher and Abigail. Caring brother of Paul Kahrhoff of Okerville, IL, Robert Kahrhoff of Centralia, IL, Rose Swinford of New Minden, IL and the late Daniel H. and August L. Kahrhoff and Marilyn Smith.

William J. Kitchin

William J. Kitchin, 31, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at South County Hospital. Born in South Kingstown, he was the son of Donna L. Kelly of Bard, California. He was the companion of Kimberly A. Duffin of North Kingstown.
Mr. Kitchin was a “Handyman” who also worked in various construction jobs. He attended Calvary Evangelical Church of Trumbull, CT and Living Hope Evangelical Church of Shelton, CT. Bill enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his mother and companion, Bill leaves his beloved son, Braydin W. Kitchin of North Kingstown. Loving Grandson of Patricia L. (Senior) Kitchin of North Kingstown and Mark W. Kitchin of CT. He was the nephew of Mary and David Sampson of Shelton, CT, and Mark and Shani Kitchin of North Kingstown. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Bernard G. “Ben” Mondor, 85, of Warwick passed away peacefully Sunday at home. He was the beloved husband of Madeleine J. (Valois) Mondor. Born in Canada, he was a son of the late Rosario and Marie Ann (Breault) Mondor.
Mr. Mondor was the owner of the Pawtucket Red Sox for 33 years. A WW II Veteran, he served in The United States Navy. He was a Community Benefactor and Philanthropist.
He was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and the brother of the late Rene, Sylvio and Fred Mondor and Annette Laquerre.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in The Cathedral of SS Peter And Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Wesley Murray, 89, of Warwick passed away Tuesday at Pawtuxet Village Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Helen (Shoren) Murray. Born in Dartmouth, MA, he was a son of the late Francis and Jane (Miller) Murray.
Mr. Murray was an Expediter for the Wiring Device Division of General Electric Co. in Providence for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He served in The United States Navy during WW II.
He was the beloved father of Richard T. Murray of Cranston and Wesley J. Murray and Janice L. Murray, both of Warwick. Caring brother of Beatrice Piccirilli of Johnston and the late Francis R. Murray. Cherished grandfather of Emily Murray.
His Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements by THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.
