Victoria H. “Vicky” (Pimental) Boisclair, 83, of Gough Avenue, West Warwick passed away Tuesday at home. She was the beloved wife of Maurice J. Boisclair. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Mello) Pimental.
Mrs. Boisclair had been a purchaser at Quonset Point. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish and its Holy Rosary Sodality.
She was the loving mother of Michael E. Boisclair and his wife Josephine of Glenville, NY and Paul J. Boisclair and his wife Rita of West Warwick. Cherished grandmother of Ilissa Goman and Caroline, Benjamin, Laura and Brian Boisclair.
Caring sister of August, Thomas and Antonio Pimental, all of West Warwick and the late Arthur, Joseph, Michael, Manuel and John Pimental, Irene Palazzo, Christina Pacheco, Mary Bedard and Cecelia Rita. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Mary cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-8 pm. Robert S. Carlson

Robert S. Carlson, 77, passed away Sunday at home. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn (Barber) Carlson. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late George and Ella (Nelson) Carlson.
Mr. Carlson was an Assistant Vice President and Chief Engineer of Valley Resources, now National Grid, from 1961 until his retirement in 1994.
A Korean War Veteran, he served in The United States Army.
He was a graduate of U.R.I., class of 1961 and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. Carlson was long active in St. Luke's Parish groups.
He was active with Boy Scouts for over 60 years, serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 82 in Providence, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was a member of the N.E. Gas Assn., American Gas Assn., and Blackstone Valley Gas and Electric Association.
He was the loving step father of Mark A. Berube of Coventry ad Evan R. Berube of Riverside. Cherished uncle of Donald R. Carlson of Old Greenwich, CT and Laura J. Carlson of East Greenwich. He was the brother of the late Raymond A. Carlson.
A Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 am in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Peirce Street, East Greenwich. Burial will follow in Glenwood cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Francisco A. Carreiro

Francisco A. Carreiro, 74, of East Main Street, West Warwick passed away peacefully Monday at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Zelia M. (Estrela) Carriero for 48 years.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Francisco Laureano Carreiro and Inez Rebello (Andrade) Carreiro; he emigrated to the United States in 1969.
Mr. Carreiro was a Machine Operator for Bradford Soap Works for 28 years until his retirement.
He was previously employed with the Fairmount Foundry in Cranston.
He enjoyed fishing and was a Commercial Fisherman for 12 years in Sao Miguel, Azores.
He served as a 2nd Class Marine in the Portuguese N.T.G. Corvo and in 1957 served as a 1st Aid in the Military in the Battalion Infantry #18.
Mr. Carreiro was a member of St. Anthony's Church in West Warwick, the Portuguese-American Citizens Club and the Holy Ghost Society.
He was a fan of the Portuguese Soccer Team "Sporting”.
He was the loving father of Joseph F. Carreiro of West Warwick, Zelia M. Ponte of Warwick, Domenic M. Carreiro of Warwick, Stella C. Nicolau of West Warwick, Moises Carreiro of West Warwick and Anthony Carreiro of Fall River, MA.
Caring brother of Ines Mello, Gloria Raposa and Manuel Carreiro, all of Toronto, Canada, Jose Carreiro of Sao Miguel, Azores, Edmundo Carreiro of North Providence, Agostinho Carreiro of Providence and the late Athlene Carreiro.
Cherished grandfather of fifteen.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony's Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick.

The Reverend Father Roger G. Champigny

The Reverend Father Roger G. Champigny, 78, pastor emeritus of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Warwick, RI, died on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, son of the late Albany Joseph and Rosaline (Lanoue) Champigny.
He attended St. Cecilia School and St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket.
In preparation for the priesthood, he studied at Our Lady of Providence Seminary in Warwick, RI and St. Paul Seminary in Ottawa, Canada.
He was ordained a priest on June 4, 1960 in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul in Providence by The Most Reverend Russell J. McVinney, Bishop of Providence.
After a summer assignment at Assumption Church in Providence, Father Champigny served as assistant pastor in the following churches: St. John in Slatersville (1960-63); at St. Joan of Arc in Cumberland (1963-71); and at St. Jude in Lincoln (1971-77). In 1975, he was appointed Moderator of Mt. St. Francis Day Care Center in Woonsocket and in September 1977, pastor of Christ the King Church in West Warwick. In July 1990, he was transferred to St. Catherine of Siena Church in Warwick and remained there until his retirement as pastor emeritus in July 2005. After retirement, Father Champigny lived at Saint Joan of Vianney Residence in Providence and later at the Villa at St. Antoine in North Smithfield.
He is survived by his brother, Norman R. Champigny and his wife Joan of Seekonk, MA, two nieces, one nephew, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was a brother of the late Sr. Paul Rita Champigny, S.U.S.C.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of his soul will take place on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:00 am in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 3250 Post Road, Warwick.
Burial will follow in Nortre Dame cemetery, Pawtucket.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Catherine of Siena Church. A Parish Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.

Madeline P. (Andrews) Charbonneau

Madeline P. (Andrews) Charbonneau, 79, of West Greenwich, passed away October 7, 2010 at Kent Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Leo M. Charbonneau. Born in Coventry, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes (Chagnon) Andrews.
Mrs. Charbonneau was the owner of Mrs. Clean until her retirement in 1989.
She was a member of SS John & Paul Church and The 700 Club.
She enjoyed cooking, solving crossword puzzles and caring for her family.
She was the beloved mother of Loretta A. Charbonneau of West Warwick, Lisa C. Faiola and Lynn R. Wyrostek, both of West Greenwich and William E. Francis of Cranston. Caring sister of Thomas Andrews, Norma Worthington and the late Clarence “Sonny” Andrews, Agnes Costello, Hazel Garant, Claire Piecz, Rita Garant and Helen Rush. Loving grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of two.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 7:15 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 am in SS John and Paul Church, South Main Street, Coventry.
Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial cemetery, Exeter.
