PETER JAMES BEAUDIN
Peter James Beaudin, 54, of Willimantic, Conn., formerly of Wethersfield, Conn., died unexpectedly on Dec. 25, 2004. He was the loving companion and partner of Sandi Petersen of Willington, Conn.
Beloved son of the late Leonard and Catherine (Byrne) Beaudin of Wethersfield, Peter was the devoted brother of Patricia Garach of Westerly, Phyllis Coty of Wethersfield, and Janice O'Keefe of Pawcatuck; and doting uncle to six nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
A long-time employee of TLC Fuel & Oil in East Hartford Conn., Peter's infectious humor, good nature and generous spirit brought joy to all who knew him. A true modern-day flower child, he had a diverse taste and deep love for music with rock and roll at the heart and a love for the jam-band scene. Peter, if music be the food of love - Play On!
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield today from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, Dec. 29, in Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield, at 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Peter's name to the American Heart Association.
LYNN VINAL
On Dec. 22, 2004, Lynn (Adams) Vinal died peacefully in the Westerly Nursing Home, Westerly.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who are thankful to have loved such a wonderful woman and be loved in return. Her quick wit and easy smile were guaranteed to warm your heart.
Originally from Miami, Lynn traveled north where she met her future husband, the late Francis "Frank" Vinal. She was a loving wife to Frank for 26 years and a loving mother to her four children, Anne, George, Kathryn, and the late Wade Vinal.
Lynn was a vibrant, athletic, and compassionate woman who loved to play tennis and go sailing. She enjoyed camping with the Girl Scouts, going to movies with friends and reading a good book. Realizing her husband was more at ease in the kitchen, she had the good sense to defer dinners to him, much to the joy of her children. Lynn was always there to comfort her children, be a good friend to all and a loving wife. The sparkle in her blue eyes has gone, but the memories will be forever.
In addition to her son, George Vinal of Shelter Harbor, her two daughters, Anne Denison of Amarillo, Texas and Kathryn Gribben of Omaha, Neb., she also leaves six grandchildren, Sam and Joshua Denison, Sean and Paul Gribben, and Kristin and Caitlin Vinal; and one great-grandson Noah Denison.
Calling hours are omitted. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Interment will be in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly.
HELEN WEBER
Helen (Mihalyo) Weber, 81, of Millbrook Road, Middletown, Conn., beloved wife of Arthur H. Weber, died Tuesday Dec. 28, 2004, at Middlesex Hospital.
She was born in New Britain, Conn.,, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Bercick) Mihalyo.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Middletown Savings Bank. Mrs. Weber was the past president of St. Francis Ladies Guild of Middletown and St. Mary's/St. James Ladies Guild of Charlestown. She was also a member of St. Francis Ladies Night Out Group of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Middletown.
Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her son, Arthur M. Weber of Newton, Mass.; her two daughters, Leanna M. Corvo of Norwich, and Deborah L. Weber of Pinellas Park, Fla.; three grandchildren, Annie Poston, Carl Weber and Joel Weber; one great-grandchild, Abby Poston; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, George, Michael and John Mihalyo.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Elm Street, Middletown. Burial will be Monday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

JEAN A. FIORI
Jean A. Fiori, 71, of Hemlock Road in Foster, died Thursday, Dec. 30, at R.I. Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late James N. Fiori, who died on Dec. 20, 2004.
Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of Lillian A. (Langley) Clarke of Westerly and the late Elliott B. Clarke. She had lived in Foster for seven years, previously living in Richmond.
Mrs. Fiori was a member and past-deacon of the North Foster Baptist Church and a member of the Richmond Historical Society.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Fiori of Foster, and James N. Fiori of Ashaway, two sisters, Barbara Green of Ashaway and Marjorie Catanzaro of Warwick, a brother, Earl Clarke of Hope Valley, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Betty Palmer.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Monday 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

HARRY EDWARD JONES SR.
Harry Edward Jones Sr., 83, of 56 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, at The Westerly Hospital after a brief illness.
Born March 23, 1921, in Mystic, he was the son of the late Harry William and Daisy Sebastian Jones.
He was married to the former Lillian Ralls for 51 years before her death in 1996.
Mr. Jones graduated from Stonington High School where he excelled as a track star setting the state record in the 100-yard dash, and played football. Later in life, he came an avid golfer.
Mr. Jones was a World War II veteran, honorably discharged from the U.S. Army at Fort Huachuen, Az., in 1943.
Mr. Jones was the owner of the former A. B. Herbert Corporation in Stonington and was owner and operator of a Laundromat in New London. He later worked at Douglas Randall in Pawcatuck in the shipping department before working at General Dynamics as a planner.
He was a member of the Pleasant Street Baptist Church
Mr. Jones was a proud Elder of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, being the oldest surviving great- grandson of Francisco Sebastian (Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation) and Mary McKinney (Shinnocock Tribal Nation) line of the tribe. He enjoyed attending elders meetings and the annual powwow held at the tribe's Lantern Hill Reservation.
He was the father of five children, Tribal Chairwoman Marcia Jones Flowers; Harry Edward Jones Jr., a teacher at Norwich Free Academy; Gail Jones-Littleton, a librarian; Sheri Marie Jones, an attorney; and Philip Brian Jones, a district manager for Dunkin' Donuts. He also leaves nine grandchildren; six great-grand children; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the Pleasant Street Baptist Church, Westerly, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly.
CHRISTIE HOUSTON MAHAR
Christie Houston Mahar of Loudonville, N.Y., died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004.
Born in Evanston, Ill., on April 26, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Livingston Waddell Houston, a former president of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, and the late Margery (Caldwell) Houston.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, retired officer First Lieutenant Edward F. Mahar; and sister, Nancy E. Houston.
She graduated from The Emma Willard School in Troy and Vassar College. Mrs. Mahar was a chemistry instructor at RPI and Syracuse University as well as a substitute science teacher at several area high schools.
She enjoyed spending summers at the Rhode Island shore with family and friends, playing piano, tennis, traveling, opera and volunteer work. Her special interests include past Chancel Guild chairperson and communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, past president of the Fort Orange Garden Club, past president of the Junior Friday Morning Club and member of the Junior League and the Schuyler Meadows Club.
In Rhode Island, she was involved with the Weekapaug Chapel Society and Altar Guild, the Weekapaug Tennis and Weekapaug Yacht clubs, the Westerly College Club and the National Association of Colonial Dames.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nancy H. Mahar and grandson Sam; a son, Edward C. Mahar, daughter-in-law, Beth and grandson Colin; her sister, Mrs. Frederick C. (Carol) Maynard Jr.; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 107 State St., Albany, with Rev. Paul Hartt, Rector, officiating. Interment is in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
