PAWTUCKET - John F. "Sam" Babiarz, 92 a lifelong resident of Pawtucket died Saturday at the Pawtucket Health Center. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Wollen) Babiarz and the son of the late John and Ann (Keilbasa) Babiarz.
Mr. Babiarz was a Machinist for the Leesona Corp and Brown & Sharp retiring in 1981. Sam was a Eucharist Minister for the former Sacred Heart Church for over 30 years. He held membership in the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, bowling and traveling with the Royal Travelers.
Surviving are one daughter Deborah Gilchrist and her husband John "Jack" Gilchrist of Pawtucket. Two grandchildren; Richard Gilchrist of NJ and Heather Gilchrist of FL. Mr. Babiarz was the brother of the late: Josephine Gendron, Mary Auger, Pauline Trahan, Buddy Parent, Jennie Eastwood, Della Golomboski and Rita Joyce.
The Funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00am in the CHEETHAM MORTUARY 1012 Newport Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Consolation Church of Holy Family Parish Sabin St. at 10:00am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning 8:00- 9:00am.

PAWTUCKET - Mary E. McCann-Chatigny, 99, a resident of the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence passed away Saturday at The Residence. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Chatigny and the late George R. McCann. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Laliberte.
Mrs. Chatigny was a longtime communicant of St. Theresa Church in South Attleboro and a member of the Christian Mothers group of the church. She was a member of the Piel Club and an active volunteer at LaSalette.
She was the beloved mother of Martin McCann of South Attleboro, Thomas J. McCann of Golden, Colorado and Eileen M. Murphy of North Smithfield. Caring sister of Alice Magill and Pauline Barsaleou, both of Attleboro and the late Norman, Robert and Paul Laliberte, William and Thomas Dunlevy, Margaret Mann, Florence Boyle, Madeline Landry and Annette Boyle. Loving grandmother of six, great grandmother of sixteen and great great grandmother of two. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 am in The Chapel of the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-7 pm at The Residence.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated. Arrangements by THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.

PAWTUCKET - Nedeh Kanakry, 91, of Pawtucket, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was the wife of the late Habib "Hap" Kanakry.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Farrah) Sabbagh. Nedeh was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
She is survived by a daughter, Mariann Falcetti and her husband Mark of Simi Valley, CA; two sisters, Josephine Sabbagh and Margaret Hanna, a brother, Samuel Sabbagh, two grandchildren, Karl Hayman and Nancy Ames and three great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rose Domaney.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Saint Basil the Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will be in Saint Basil's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
Visiting hours Tuesday 9-10:30 a.m., prior to the liturgy in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 400 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860 would be appreciated.

PAWTUCKET: Phyllis (Lincoln) King, 81, passed October 29th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William S. King Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Milton Lincoln and Maryellen (Cole) Large.
She had been employed by Osram Sylvania for 25 years.
After retiring, she and her husband relocated to Florida for 17 years before returning in 2007. She was an avid New England Sports fan.
She is survived by her children, Leslie King of Lincoln, William King and his wife, Denise of Cumberland, Maryellen Graham and her husband, Scott of Hingham, MA, and Joanne Andreozzi and her husband, Steven of North Providence. She leaves 7 grandsons, a great granddaughter, a brother, William Large and his wife Diane of Johnston, a sister, Dorothy Eastwood and her husband Jerry of Smithfield, and many nieces and nephews and was also the grandmother of the late William S. King IV and the sister of the late Ruth Hilton, Avis St. Pierre and Frederick Lincoln.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 3rd from 3 to 6pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Burial will be private in the Rhode Island Veteran Cemetery Exeter.

CENTRAL FALLS: Rita S. Corneau (86) passed away on Friday October 28th in Worcester, MA. Born in West Warwick, RI, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Anne (Cantara) Brindamour, and was preceded in death by her husband George E. Corneau.
For the past eight years she lived with her daughter Claudette and son-in-law, Mickey Blyskal in Boylston, MA. She was a long time resident of Central Falls, and a former Communicant of Holy Spirit (St. Matthew Parish).
She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved family traditions and rituals from her special Christmas gingerbread cookies to praying the rosary daily.
She is survived by her children, Rhea (Richard Palczynski) of Jupiter, FL; Janine of Severna Park, MD; Leo (Sue) of West Chazy, NY; Claudette (Michael Blyskal) of Boylston, MA; Denise St. Angelo of Pawtucket, RI; Louis (Debbie) Pascoag, RI; Dianne Dubois (Ray Castro) of Orlando, FL; Charles of Cumberland, RI; and David of Prospect, CT. She also leaves her sister, Dora Dauplaise of West Warwick, RI, and 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI, at 10am, Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm. EAST PROVIDENCE - Robert J. Snow, 89, of Allerton Avenue, died peacefully on October 27, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Edna M.(Coogan) Snow.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Aborn and Mary (Burns) Snow, he lived in East Providence for 51 years.
Mr. Snow was an assistant foreman in the pressroom at the Providence Journal for 33 years before retiring in 1977. He also was a foreman in the pressroom at the Pawtucket Times Newspaper for 10 years before retiring in 1987. He was the owner-operator of the R.J. Snow Reality Co., Pawtucket.
Robert was a communicant of St. Martha's Church. He was a life member of the Veteran's of Foreign War.
Mr. Snow was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II where he was a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, American Arena Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Arena Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He also served in the Korean War where he was assigned to the Seabees Division.
Robert enjoyed helping his late wife Edna in her political endeavors, working on his properties, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter; Cynthia Butler and her husband Mark of Barrington, a son; Thomas C. Snow and his wife Sherry of Barrington and a sister; Mary Plant of Cumberland. He will be sadly missed by his three grandsons; Thomas C. Snow Jr. and his wife Erica, Christopher P. Snow and Matthew R. Butler. He was the brother of the late Francis Snow.
His funeral will be held on Monday October 31, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence at 10 am. Graveside burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

NORTH PROVIDENCE - Frances D. (Hodgkins) Pisarek, 86, of Urban Ave., passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late Alfred Pisarek. Born in Keene, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Austin) Hodgkins, she resided in Pawtucket before moving to North Providence 26 years ago. Frances was a member of The Devine Mercy at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
She leaves a daughter, Sheila A. Masse; a grandson, Michael A. Masse; two great-grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Masse all of North Scituate; two sisters, Faith Forrest of North Providence and Dorothy Briggs in New Hampshire.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.

SEEKONK - Paul L. Gamache, 52 of Marlaine Drive Seekonk, died Wednesday at the Home and Hospice Care of RI.
He was the husband of Kathryn "Kasey" ( Rogers ) Gamache.
He was born in Central Falls, RI a son of Roland & Therese (Jarest) Gamache of Seekonk MA.
Paul was a Creative Director for over 25 years, for the Pharma International Company.
He was a graduate of RI College Class of 1981 with a B.S. in Communication.
He has lived most of his life in Seekonk, also living in Syracuse, NY, as well as various other states before moving back to Seekonk.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church.
He enjoyed playing Guitar, was interested in his French Canadian Heritage, an avid Star Trek fan, enjoyed films.
He was an accomplished creative writer, having won award from the International play writing Company for writing "All Things Matter", produced in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was very close to his family, he was a loving father to his "greatest Production" Jacqui and Luc.
Besides his wife and parents he is survived by his twins Jacqui and Luc Gamache at home, a sister Denise O'Rourke and her husband Raymond of Seekonk, he was the Uncle of Brianna O'Rourke of Seekonk.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Foley - Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main Street, Attleboro, Massachusetts, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive Seekonk, burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. RI.

James L. Cleghorn, Ph.D.
PAWTUCKET - James L. Cleghorn, Ph.D., 75, formerly of Lawton Street and a resident of Desert Hot Springs, CA for the past eleven years, died October 17, 2011.
He was the son of the late William M. and Josephine (Czekanski) Cleghorn. A graduate of Brown University, Harvard University and the University of Vienna, he worked as a biochemist in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
He is survived by a son, several cousins and his long-time friend Domenica Colmore.
A graveside service will be held TODAY, Thursday, October 27th at 10:00 AM in St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Mendon Road, Slatersville.
