PAWTUCKET Phyllis J. Niemiec, 95, died peacefully at home on October 11, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward Niemiec.
Born in Hebronville, MA a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kaczowka) Kowalski. She is survived by her daughter Patricia M. Skrydalewicz, two granddaughters Michelle A. and MaryJane Skrydalewicz all of Pawtucket. Four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Oldest of 5 survived by two sisters Stella A. Bedard and Agnes A. Lonczak. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the sister of the late Lucy Fedo and John B. Kowalski.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 9am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Edward's Church Weeden St. Pawtucket. Calling Hours Thursday 4-7 PM. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI or to a charity of your choice.

PAWTUCKET: Karen Coyle, 54, of Hunts Ave, passed October 8th at home. She was the wife of Robert Hanley.
Karen was the loving mother of Jamie, Karrie, Joey and Tabitha Coyle and grandmother of twelve. She is also survived by a sister, JoAnn Dawson and a brother, Joseph Coyle. Services were private. Arrangements are by the Keefe Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Dennis Robert Eaton

CENTRAL FALLS - Dennis Robert Eaton, 64, of Central Falls and formerly of South Attleboro, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011. He was the cherished husband of Viola "Vi" (Mathis) Eaton for thirty-seven years.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late James E. and Claire R. (Remy) Eaton, he resided in South Attleboro for thirty-four years until moving to Central Falls four months ago. He was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the South Attleboro VFW. Dennis was employed by AT & T as a communication technician for 37 years until retiring in 2001, and then continued with the company as a part-time consultant until 2006.
He was the father of two incredible human beings, the late Melissa Anne Eaton, and Patrick Leslie Eaton of Greenville, RI. He was the doting grandfather to his most beloved Abigail Melissa Eaton of South Attleboro, as well as a devoted friend to her cherished mother, Ms. Kendra Botelho of Attleboro. Besides his loving wife and son, he is survived by his sister, Jane Gagne and her husband, Roland of Burrillville; three brothers and their wives, Alan and Lucienne Eaton of North Smithfield, David and Annette Eaton of North Attleboro and Gregory and Deborah Eaton of Thompson, CT. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Minnie Lee Wambolt of Taunton, and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Memorial gifts to the Christian Children's Fund in his name will be appreciated.

CENTRAL FALLS - Harry A. Lefrancois, 78, of Central Falls died December 29, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care of RI. He is survived by his wife Shirley A. (Howard) Lefrancois. 3 children John Lefrancois, Linda Rodrigues and her husband Allen and Susan Gamache and her husband Kenneth. 5 grandchildren Daniel, Eric, Amy, Nicole and Garet. 3 great-grandsons Anthony, Alex and Zachary. Sister-in-law Jackie Landry. Funeral services will be private.

Dr. Thomas M. Aissis, DDS

SEEKONK, MA - Dr. Thomas M. Aissis, DDS, 94, of Brook Street died Wednesday,December 28, 2011 at Pawtucket Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket. He was the husband of the late Mary E.(Senno) Aissis.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Habib and Bahia (Haskoor) Aissis, he had lived in Seekonk for the past 55 years.
Dr. Aissis was a dentist with his practice in Pawtucket for 19 years and later on Broad Street, Central Falls for 50 years, retiring in 1995. He was a life member of the American Dental Association, the Rhode Island Dental Association and the Pawtucket District Dental Society.
He attended the University of Rhode Island and was a graduate of Temple University Dental School.
He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Dr. Aissis was a 58-year member and an honorary member of Pawtucket Country Club.
He was a member of Sullivan Council 3rd Degree, Knights of Columbus and a member of Delaney Assembly 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol A. Jackson of Pawtucket; one son, Thomas J. Aissis and his wife, Nancy of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Kristen Lane and her husband, Raymond of Smithfield, Jodi Cabral and her husband, Joseph of Rumford, and Christopher Jackson of Pawtucket; four great grandchildren, Katelyn and Ryan Lane, both of Smithfield, and Meghan and Matthew Cabral, both of Rumford; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John, Jerry, George, James and Rose Aissis, and Sarah Nasif.
His funeral will be held TUESDAY, JANUARY 3 at 8:45 A.M. from BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in the Church of St. Basil the Great, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Basil's Cemetery, Cumberland.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call MONDAY 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Aissis's memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904-9826 would be appreciated.

Lillian M. Jacques

ALBION - Lillian M. Jacques, formerly of School St., Albion, died Tuesday at The Holiday in Manville. She was the wife of the late Ernest Jacques and the late Armand Lamothe.
Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Yvonne (Blanchette) Henault. She resided in Albion for most of her life.
Mrs. Jacques was employed as a cook by the Lincoln School Department before retiring in 1982.
Mrs. Jacques was a longtime communicant of St. Ambrose Parish and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lincoln Knights of Columbus. She was also a member of the Manville/Albion Golden Agers.
Lillian was very talented at crafts, crocheting, and knitting. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Lillian will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.
Lillian's family wishes to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and caregivers at The Holiday who cared for her during the many years she resided there.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur A. Lamothe, and his wife Kathleen, of FL, and Donald J. Lamothe, and his wife Patricia, of Plainville, a daughter Mary T. McGee, and her husband James, of FL. She was the sister of the late Irene Skurka. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard- Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, School St., Albion. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.

Marie E. Custer

CRANSTON - Marie Elizabeth (O'Neill) Custer of Cranston, RI, passed away suddenly on December 23. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she touched the lives of many, and is already sorely missed.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Eva LaPrade and John A. O'Neill, and lived in North Smithfield for many years. Active in her community, she played several roles including teacher, politician, parishioner, and counselor.
Marie earned a BA in history from the College of Saint Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ, and several certificates from Rhode Island College.
At St. Patrick Catholic Church in Cranston, she was an active board member. As a teacher of English and history in Coventry, North Smithfield, and elsewhere for over 40 years, Marie demanded the best from her students, but was well respected due to her professionalism and compassion. She represented other teachers as a member of her union.
As a reading specialist, she helped countless children learn to read and enjoy books. From comic books as a kid, to novels as an adult, Marie loved stories. She was a talented story-teller herself, with a keen wit and boundless humor.
She served as an inspirational counselor to female inmates at the RI Department of Corrections.
Marie was a sports fan who was devoted to the Red Sox, celebrating loudly when they won the World Series. She also supported the Celtics, Bruins, and Patriots. An animal lover, Marie leaves behind her collie and cats, as well as a number of well-fed birds and squirrels. She was a talented gardener, former lifeguard and enjoyed going to the beach.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her first husband of 35 years,Dr. John W. Custer, and her brother, John A. O'Neill Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of four years, Armand L. Lefevbre of Cranston; loyal and loving daughters Anastasia B. Custer of Providence and partner Jason Pezzullo, Rebecca M. Townsend of Longmeadow, MA and husband Thomas Townsend and Kerry E. Feather of Cumberland and husband Thomas Feather. She is also survived by five adoring grandchildren: Thomas Townsend, Charles Townsend, Benjamin Feather, Campbell Feather, and Flannery Feather; brother James L. O'Neill of Pawtucket, and nephews Rep. J. Patrick O'Neill, Andrew O'Neill, Jess O'Neill, and Luke O'Neill.
Also loving stepchildren: Daniel Lefebvre of Manville, Priscilla MacPherson of North Smithfield, Jeanne Lapierre of Lincoln, Elaine Waller of East Providence, Laura Belisle of Woonsocket, Chris Joly of Florida, Anne-Marie Girard of North Smithfield and the late Peter Lefebvre.
Her funeral will take place Friday, December 30, at 10 am at St. Ann's Art and Cultural Center, 84 Cumberland St., Woonsocket. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, December 29 from 4pm-8pm at Curtis J. Holt's Sons Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Charles C. Burns

SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Charles C. Burns of Allen Ave. passed away peacefully Monday, December, 26, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI surrounded by his loving family. He died at the age of 70 after being stricken by an unexpected illness.
Charles was a beloved father, grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his three sons, Robert (Bobby) Burns of North Attleboro, MA and his children Arrianna, Brannon and Sabrina; Richard Burns and his wife of North Attleboro, MA and their children Kaden and Ashlyn; Ronald Burns and his wife Heather of North Attleboro, MA and their children Nathan and Rachel; his daughter Renee and her children Kyle and Mallory and her fiance Steve Burgen of Chicopee, MA and his children Ariana and Justin; his companion, Kanom (Connie) Demty of South Attleboro, MA and his former wife, Jeannette (Riccard) Burns of Cumberland, RI.
Born February 5, 1941 in Pawtucket, RI and raised and educated in South Attleboro, MA he was the son of the late James Burns and Maria (Salois) Miles. He is also survived by two brothers; James Burns of Warwick, RI and William Miles of Seekonk, MA; a sister Dolores Racine of Seekonk, MA and the late Robert E. Burns; in addition to many nieces, nephews and friends.
He worked at the Foxboro Company for over 25 years and later ran his own business "Classic Cleanups" - doing what he loved best landscaping and lawn care. He was devoted to his children, coaching their baseball teams when they were young and he could often be heard on the sidelines of many games cheering his kids on "First Down a Touchdown" - he was their biggest fan. His devotion continued with his grandchildren whom he loved very much and enjoyed spending time with.
Affectionately known by many nicknames Chuck, Chicky, Singing Charlie, Dancing Charlie, "Rock-n-Roll" Charlie - Charles was full of life. Whether it was singing karaoke, or dancing at weddings or to the music at the annual Kid's Day event, Charles was liked by all who met him and leaves behind many lasting memories.
Visiting hours will held on Thursday, December 29, from 4-8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, December 30 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro.

Mary McCarthy
December 27, 2011

PAWTUCKET - Mary (Jardin) McCarthy, 87, of Cape Coral, Florida, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. McCarthy, Sr. They were happily married for 65 years.
Born in Lowell, MA and raised in Pawtucket, RI, Mary was the daughter of Francisco and Adeline Jardin. Mary lived in Pawtucket while she and Bill raised their family of six children. They retired to Lee County, Florida in 1980 where she lived until the time of her death.
Mary is survived by four sons, William F. Jr., of California, Dennis T. "Tim" and his wife Lynn, of Providence, Robert E. and his wife Rita, of Pawtucket, Kevin S. and his wife Marie, of Fort Myers, Florida, and one daughter, Maureen, of Pawtucket. She was the mother of the late Michael P. McCarthy. Mary is also survived by her ten loving grandchildren, Bridget, Patrick, Ian, Kyle, Sara, Eric, KC, Jardin, Michelle, and Alan and her three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Michael and Megan. She was the grand- mother of the late Jamie McCarthy.
Mary was a wonderful mom who supported her children in all of their endeavors. She was also very active in McCarthy's Catering, which she and Bill owned and ran together from the 1950's to the early 1970's. When she wasn't helping her children with a school project, she was making sandwiches or preparing the tables with banquet paper and flowers. She once (accidentally!) had a sip of wine and never missed mass on Sunday.
Mary will be remembered by all of those who knew her as kind and generous. She played the straight role in the comedy routines that were part of the loving way that she and Bill related to each other. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her. A memorial mass will be held for Mary at St. Leo's Church on Central Avenue in Pawtucket on Saturday, December 31 at 11:00 AM. Please omit flowers. Mercedes Rodriguez
December 27, 2011

PAWTUCKET - Mercedes Rodriguez, 77 of Prospect St. passed away on Friday at RI Hospital after an illness.
She was born in Mayaguez, PR, a daughter of the late Pelon and Emelia Lopez. She has lived in Rhode Island for the last 40 years. Mrs. Rodriguez was a home maker and enjoyed being with her family.
She leaves 4 daughters, Elba Lacroix and Norma Rosario both of NO. Providence and Millagros Rodriguez and Soccoro "Lisi" Perez both of Central Falls; 3 sons, Ramon Rodriguez, Reynaldo Santos and Hector Rosario all of Pawtucket, 14 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren.
A Prayer Service was held in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, Tuesday at 8pm.

Susan Dorothy Augenti

BROCKTON, MA - Susan Dorothy "Dolly" (Perrault) Augenti of Brockton, MA died unexpectedly at her home on December 23, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles F. Augenti for 50 years whom she missed dearly every day since his passing in June 2009.
Born in Brockton on November 19, 1925, Dolly was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1943. In her early years, Dolly worked for Knapp Shoe, New England Telephone and the Brockton School Department but her greatest love was her family.
Dolly is survived by her sons Charles F. "Chuck" Augenti, Jr. of Pawtucket, RI (owner of First Stop Auto) and Christopher A. "Chris' Augenti of Monument Beach, MA. She leaves five grandchildren Nicole Marie, Chelsey Elizabeth, Michael Anthony, Madeline Sue and Charles Mathieu and three great grandchildren. She also leaves a special daughter-in-law Heather (Hanson) Augenti of W. Bridgewater. Dolly was one of twelve of the Perrault family who grew up on the Eastside of Brockton.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-8 pm. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home Friday at 10 pm. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations in Dolly's name may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or St. Jude's Children Research 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
