CLAIRE M. GENCARELLA
Claire M. (Stanley) Gencarella, 84, formerly of Pond Street, Westerly, and widow of the late Pasquale "Lefty" Gencarella, died Oct. 24, 2004, at the Westerly Health Center.
Mrs. Gencarella was born in Griswold, Conn., daughter of the late Frank E. and Aldora (Casavant) Stanley. She had been self-employed upholsterer for many years. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Westerly. She was a former member of the Westerly Italo-American Auxiliary and the Westerly Emblem Club #308. She wintered in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and was an avid bingo player. She also loved to cook.
She is survived by a son, Robert L. Gencarella of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia A. Raiche of Westerly; two sisters, Alice Deslandes of Taftville, Conn., and Irene Satori, of Occum, Conn.; four grandchildren, Scott A. Raiche, Timothy N. Raiche, Sheri L. Assal-Gencarella and Robert L. Gencarella, all of Westerly; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Roy Stanley; a sister, Thelma DeSio; and a grandson, Gary P. Raiche.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There will be no cortege from the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck.
GEORGE A. QUATTROMANI
George A. Quattromani, beloved husband of Agnes (Jordan) Quattromani, of Brighton Plantation, Maine, formerly of Westerly, died Oct. 16, 2004, in Maine.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 111 High St., Westerly. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
ROSARIO J. AGNELLO
Rosario J. Agnello, 81, of Pawcatuck passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at The Westerly Hospital with his wife and family at his bedside.
Deeply loved by his family, he was born in Pawcatuck Feb. 17, 1923.
Retired, he is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Jessie (Ricatta) Agnello; his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Doug Longbons; and son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Monica Agnello; and son, Joe Agnello; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Josephine Antoch, Nancy Bazydlo, and Mary Theadore; and a stepsister-in-law, Albina Antoch.
A Veteran of World War II, Ross was a member and past president of the Pawcatuck Lions Club, and the Maria Assunta Society, as well as a volunteer for numerous charitable organizations. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan, and loved his New England Patriots.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Relatives and friends may call at the Mystic Funeral Home, Route 1, Mystic, on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

ROBERT HILL
Robert Hill of Mystic was also survived by a son, Dale Hill and his wife Leighann of Ramona, Calif.; and one brother, William Hill and his wife, Pauline.
CONSTANCE DELAGRANGE ROUX
Constance Delagrange Roux, 99, formerly of Stonington, died Oct. 18, 2004, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown, Pa. She was the wife of the late Maurice N. Roux.
She was a retired teacher for the Westerly School District, a graduate of Connecticut College for Women, and a former member of the United Church of Stonington.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette R. wife of the Rev. William A Seaman of Allentown; a son, Maurice N. Roux of New London; a sister, Winona Chesebro of Stonington; and grandchildren, Gregory Seaman of Allentown and Gabrielle Seaman of Douglassville, Pa.
Memorial services will be held on Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Stonington, 67, Main St., Stonington. A calling hour will be held on Nov. 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Stonington Cemetery.

ROBERT W. WHITMAN
Robert W. Whitman, 56, of 46-A Narragansett Ave., Westerly, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at The Westerly Hospital. He was the husband of Joan Whitman.
Robert worked for Foxwoods Casino before his illness.
Robert is survived by a stepdaughter, Eleanor; a son, James; and four grandchildren.
EUGENE P. CAROCARI
Eugene P. Carocari, 82, years young, of the Sandpiper Cottage, Charlestown, died Thursday Nov. 25, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1922, in Stafford Springs, Conn., son of Louis and Anna (Peloni) Carocari.
He was a graduate of Stafford High School, Morse College, and attended the University of Connecticut.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist's mate second class and received the Victory Medal and American Theater Medal.
Gene worked at Hunter and Havens, Maxwell Davis, Sullivan Tool, Mill End Supply, and many years at the Internal Revenue Service where he received the Gallatiu Award for outstanding work, retiring in 1977.
Volunteer activities included Hartford Hospital, soup kitchens, and Special Olympics. He belonged to the 1st Company Governor's Horse Guard, American Youth Hostel, and the Wickford and Newport art associations. He had a great love for travel, the seashore, wildlife, horses, dogs, and flowers, was an avid walker, and was known for his service to others.
He leaves his niece, Diane Becker and her husband John Patton; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Becker, all of Willington, Conn.; a special godchild, Elaine (Carocari) Jones of Ledyard; cousins he loved dearly; and numerous close friends around the world.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother Enrico Carocari; and his beloved sister, Dina Carocari Becker.
A joyous celebration of Gene's life will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4, with calling hours from noon to 2 p.m. at lntrovigne Funeral Home, 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a reception for family and friends at Wilderness Lake Campgrounds, Village Hill Road, Willington. A graveside service will be held Monday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, South County Trail, Exeter. A memorial service will be held on East Beach in Rhode Island in June 2005 at a time to be announced.
ANNA MAE ESTUS
Anna Mae (Sullivan) Estus, 90, of Bradford, passed into the welcoming arms of Jesus surrounded by family on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Estus, the widow of David Estus, was born in Dallas, Pa., on Oct. 22, 1914. She was the daughter of Minnie (Harris) and John Sullivan of Dallas and Providence.
A homemaker, she enjoyed entertaining her family, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. For a short time after moving to the area, she was employed part-time as the housekeeper for the nurse's residence next to The Westerly Hospital that is now known as the Lucey Building.
Anna Mae is survived by five sons: John Estus and his wife King of San Antonio, Texas, David Estus II and his wife Joan, of Dallas, Pa., Thomas Estus and his wife Shirley of Hunlock Creek, Pa., Paul Estus of Bradford, and Robert Estus of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Ethel Alexander and her husband John of Charlestown and Mary Ellen Gomes and her husband Leonard of Westerly; one sister, Dorothy Velletri of Orlando Fla.; two brothers, Gerald Sullivan of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Allan Sullivan of Tennessee; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Jeanne Tuscher of Wilkes-Barre; and her grandson, John Faillace, also of Wilkes-Barre.
Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Gaffney Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at noon in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Church Street, Bradford. Interment will be in River Bend Cemetery, Beach Street, Westerly.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her name be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, Bradford.
