PAWTUCKET: Paul J. Eklund, 52, of Vine St, passed October 18th 2010 after a brief illness.
Born in Pawtucket, the son of the late John and Florence (Fontaine) Eklund.
Paul had been employed by Texas Instruments of Attleboro and GTECH of West Greenwich for many years.
He is survived by a sister, Elaine E. Eklund and a dear friend Anita Van Leeuwen, both with whom he resided.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6-8pm followed by a prayer service at 8pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.

ATTLEBORO - Lucy Catherine Bowen joined the angels in heaven on October 18, 2010. She was the loving wife of James M. Bowen. They had been married 65 years.
Mrs. Bowen was born in Attleboro, MA, the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Vensky) Geraghty. She was employed in the jewelry industry for many years.
Besides her husband Mrs. Bowen is survived by her two sons, John Bowen of Jamestown, IN and Daryl Bowen of Los Angeles CA, her five grandchildren and eight grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Cheryl Bingham.
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Bowen Monday, October 25, 2010 in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway,Pawtucket. There will be visitation in the funeral home from 10:00am Monday morning. Relatives and friends are invited.

PAWTUCKET - Angela Boulmetis, 92, died Monday. She was the wife of the late Elias J. Boulmetis. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Denise (Tsouknidas) Strigas. Mrs. Boulmetis worked as an assembler at Lincoln Dimential Tube before retiring. She leaves a son John Boulmetis and his wife Donna of Wakefield; a sister, Jenny Stregas of TX; two grandchildren, Maria and John Boulmetis and two great grandchildren, John and Zoe Boulmetis. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
Irving W. Knight

CUMBERLAND - Irving W. Knight, 87, formerly of Avalon Healthcare Center of Mystic, CT passed away on October 7, 2010 at Westerly Hospital. He was the son of the late Irving and Helen (Waterman) Knight.
He leaves two sisters, Marjorie Sweetman of Florida and Lucy Almeida of RI; several nieces, nephew and many caring relatives and friends.
He was born in Cumberland, and grew up on the Waterman Farm. He earned his BS from Bryant College before entering the Army in 1943. He completed the Army's 12 month Meteorology Program at Hamilton College before he served overseas in India as a DFE operator for the planes flying over the Himalayas to China. After discharge from the Army in 1946 he earned his degree in economics from Harvard University.
He started his career at Providence Gas Com. until 1955 at which time he joined IBM in New York City where he remained for 26 years working at many locations including France. He retired in 1982 and remained a consultant for IBM for an additional six years.
He lived his life to the fullest and was very active in community service his entire life.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 23 at 11 AM in the Four Corners Community Chapel, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow in the Arnolds Mills Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home.

Virginia E. Temple

ATTLEBORO - Virginia E. (Bishop) Temple, 78 of Rita Drive Attleboro, died Thursday at home.
She was born in Attleboro a daughter of the late Arthur & Florence (Ganci) Bishop.
Virginia was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 10 years for Mt. St. Francis Health Center in Woonsocket before she retired 7 years ago.
She has lived in Attleboro for over 15 years coming from, Rehoboth,and Pawtucket RI.
Virginia liked Knitting, Crocheting, and was an avid reader, she especially enjoyed spending time with her great granddaughter.
She is survived by a son Leonard Klang of Seekonk MA, a daughter Robin Lobo of Seekonk MA, a brother James Kershaw of Palmetto Florida, 2 sisters Patricia Trinquier of Pawtucket RI, Lee Ann Damiano of North Scituate RI.
She was the grandmother of 3, and the great grandmother of Alexis.
She was the sister of the late Claire Brinard, and also the grandmother of the late Heather Muggle.
Her funeral services are private.

PAWTUCKET - Jean-Marie Jutras, 87, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010.
Born in Ste. Brigitte des Saults, PQ, Canada, he was a son of the late Elzear and Alpaide (Charpentier) Jutras. He came to the United States in 1968 and settled in Pawtucket. Jean-Marie was a battery hand at the Pansey Weaving Company, Pawtucket until retiring in 1978.
He leaves a sister, Jeannine Lapointe of Canada; his sister-in-law, Rose Alma Jutras of Pawtucket and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rose Duval, Theresa Bernard, Cleomene, Lucien, Claire and Leopold Jutras. Services will be private.

RUMFORD - James A. (Jim) Medeiros died at home on Wednesday, October 13, after a long illness. Jim was the son of Dorothy (Corcoran) Medeiros and the late Anthony Medeiros. Jim is also survived by his sister Deborah Marsocci of Narragansett, and his brother Daniel Medeiros of Rehoboth, and three nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 463 Traverse Street, Providence, RI.

PAWTUCKET - Raymond J. McMahon III, 48, of Glenwood Ave, Pawtucket died Thursday, October 14, 2010.
Mr. McMahon was born in Providence the son of Raymond J. and Mary (Russell) McMahon Jr.
Besides his parents Mr. McMahon is survived by his children David McMahon and Nora. He also leaves his brothers Patrick McMahon of Pawtucket and Brian and Kevin McMahon of Florida.
The funeral for Mr. McMahon will be Wednesday at 9:00am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond's Church, North Main Street, Providence at 10:00am. His burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. The calling hours for Mr. McMahon will be Tuesday 4-7pm in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited.

CUMBERLAND Antonia T. Gomes, 86, formerly of Smith Street, passed away Thursday in the Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Antonio Gomes.
Born in Portugal, settled in Cumberland, RI in 1961.
She was employed by the former Cadillac Textiles until retirement.
She leaves five children, Manuel Fernandes of Douglas, MA, Maria Bradshaw, Joseph Gomes, Fernanda Muggle and Horacio Gomes all of Lincoln; two siblings, Jesuina Torres and Ceu Torres both of Portugal. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Rosa Torres-Fernandes, Jurmana Torres and Antonio Torres.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday, 2-6 PM.

CUMBERLAND - Patricia A."Patsy" Denelle, 50, of Cumberland, died peacefully on Thursday. She was the wife of Douglas E. Denelle. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Roland Lavallee and Ruth M. (Gaumond) Cooper and the step daughter of the late Robert Cooper. Her sons Jason R. Flynn of Pawtucket and Damon F. Flynn of Central Falls, her daughters Amanda C. Levasseur of Cumberland and Annette A. Pina of W. Warwick, her brothers William M., Roland A. and Christopher N. Lavallee all of Pawtucket and her sister Linda M. Beliveau of Willamantic, CT and 8 grandchildren survive her. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a funeral service to follow at 8 pm. Inurnment of cremains will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. A Celebration of Patsy's life will be announced. PAWTUCKET - Emmanuel A. Mendona, 54, of Pawtucket, died Saturday at Brigham & Woman's Hospital in Boston. Born in Dakar, Republic of Senegal, he was the son of the late Manuel Mendona and Estela A. (Andrade) Dalomba.
Emmanuel worked as a mechanic, repairing the Pawtucket Police Department vehicles until around 1985.
Beside his mother, Emmanuel is survived by five brothers, John Dalomba, Jose P. Dalomba, Gilbert Dalomba, Pierre Dalomba and Patrick Dalomba all of Pawtucket; three sisters, Palmira (Fernandes) Spinola and Bella Barre of Pawtucket, and Emily Dalomba of Boston and a brother-in-law Philippe Barre of Pawtucket.
His Funeral will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME 643 Main St. Pawtucket with a Funeral Service in the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 12:00 P.M.
