Claire J. Bois

PAWTUCKET - Claire J. Bois, 93, formerly of Kent Street, Pawtucket, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at the Grandview Center in Cumberland.
She was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Papini) Arrighi and was the wife of the late F. Edward Bois. Claire spent her entire life caring for the people she loved and enjoyed their love in return. She was employed as an inspector for the Fram Corporation.
Claire leaves two daughters: Elizabeth Girard and her husband Conrad and Carol Messier and her husband Lionel, both of Pawtucket. She also is survived by her three grandchildren, four step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and seven step great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Arrighi.
The funeral for Mrs. Bois will be Saturday at 9:00 am from the MANNING - HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. The calling hours will be Friday 4-7 pm. PAWTUCKET: Alfredo S. Roque, 64, of Cleveland St, passed November 10, 2010. He was the husband of Adelaide (Marques) Roque. They have been married for 37 years.
Born in Vale da Ribeira, Portugal,a son of the late Eduardo and Maria Santos Silva Roque.
He had been employed by Carol Cable for many years and was a member of the Portuguese Social Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Leni Avelar and her husband David of North Providence, a son Nelson M. Roque of Pawtucket, two grandchildren, Anthony and Liliana Avelar, three brothers, Jorge, Jose and Victor Roque, a sister Ermelinda and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Celestino Roque.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St,Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Friday 5-8pm.

CUMBERLAND - Dorothy A. (Wilson) Hull, 74, of New York Avenue died Sunday, November 7, 2010 while visiting in South Carolina. She was the wife of the late James G. Hull.
Born in Eastover, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Gary T. and Flossie Mae (Woodle) Wilson.
Mrs. Hull worked at the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her loving children, John Hull and his wife, Christine of Cumberland, Michael Hull and his wife, Debbie of Pawtucket and Ann Hull Poholek of Eastover, South Carolina; her beloved grandchildren, Corinne Hull, Brandon Hull, J. Ryan Hull, Amy Hull, Joshua Pardi, Nicole (Hull) O'Connor, Michael Hull, Carey Hull and James Hull; and her beloved great grandchildren, Tristin O'Connor, Shayna Lemois, Sarah Lemois and Ryan O'Connor.
Her funeral will be held SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13 at 8:45 A.M. from the BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Aidan's Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

Norman J. Cotton

TEXAS - Mr. Norman James Cotton,. 73, passed away on October 27, 2010.
Born February 6, 1937, in Central Falls, RI, Mr. Cotton was a son of the late William Christie Cotton, Jr. and Florence Anita LaRocque Cotton. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving more than 33 years during which time he earned many medals, commendations, and honors, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a Catholic and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his children, Norman J. Jr. and David W. of Melbourne, FL, Janice M. Nieves of Rockledge, FL, James M. of China, Christopher L, of Germany, Stephen P. of Ormond Beach, FL, and Rachel C. Cotton of Suwanee, GA; a brother William C. Cotton, III of Pawtucket, RI; his former wife, Jane McGowan of Melbourne, FL; 14 grandchildren, and two nieces, Donna Gargano and Susan Cotton, both of Providence, RI.
Interment with full military honors were held in the cemetery at Andersonville National Historic Site, in Georgia.
Memorial gifts in Mr. Cotton's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
Francis C. Murray

Epsom, N.H. - Francis Charles Murray (Frank), 83, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at home in Epsom, New Hampshire following a long illness. He was born January 28, 1927, in Pawtucket, RI to the late Herbert and Rose (Reynolds) Murray. He spent many years in his hometown of Pawtucket and then moved to Epsom, New Hampshire in 1996.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Pacific theatre of World War II. He married his loving wife, Gertrude in 1945 and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Frank's passion was sales and he worked for American Income Life and after retirement in 1995 he worked as a courier for Dartmouth Hitchcock Pharmacy and NeighborCare Pharmacy in Concord, NH. Frank enjoyed people, playing card games and tinkering around the house. He had a special affection and memories of his golden retriever, Barney.
Surviving family members include his wife Gertrude (Boisse) Murray of Epsom, NH; three children, Gloria Potter of Seekonk, Massachusetts, Denise Boulais of Allenstown, New Hampshire and Michael F. Murray of Bow, New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday morning at 9 am - 10:15 am at Keefe's Funeral Home in 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI followed by a Mass of Christian burial Thursday morning at 11:00 am St. Cecilia Parish 755 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
He will be laid to rest at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, Friday at 1.15 p.m. for family and friends.

PAWTUCKET - Mary A. Chartier, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away Monday, November 08, 2010 at Oakland Grove Nursing Home, Woonsocket. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret Adam. She had lived most of her life in Pawtucket. Mary worked at Health-Tex for thirty three years, retiring in 1989. She is survived by her brother, Peter Adam and his wife Pauline, a brother-in-law, Edward McDonald, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Adam, Agnes McDonald, Lavina Bird and her husband Henry.
The funeral will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Leo The Great Church, 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. GREENVILLE - Aldege G. Palin, 77, of Greenville, died Sunday November 7, 2010 at home. He was the beloved husband of Claire A. (Desmaris) Palin. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Aldege J. and Palma (Parent) Palin. Mr. Palin was an HVAC Engineer with Johnson Industrial, Co. for 30 years before retiring in 1998 and was a Korean War Army veteran. Besides his wife, he was the father of Michael G., Mark D., Steven C. and the late Kenneth G. and Kirk A. Palin, Deborah A. McCarthy and Cheryl L. St. Germain. He was the brother of Elaine Ellis, Carol Robert, Mourice and Ronald Palin. Grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 14.
His funeral will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 8:30AM from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Rte.44) Greenville with a Mass of Christian Burial in at 9:30Am in St. Philip Church 622 Putnam Ave., Greenville. PAWTUCKET - Kenneth E. Hoyas, Sr., 83, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice M. (Marshall) Hoyas.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Auguste C. and Grace M.(McGarrahan) Hoyas. Ken was a lace weaver at the Seekonk Lace Company for many years until retiring. He enjoyed traveling. He leaves a son, Kenneth E. Hoyas, Jr. of Pawtucket; a stepdaughter, Gail C. Gutgsell of Smithfield; a stepson, Raymond Porter of Providence; his longtime companion, Virginia Fitzhugh of Pawtucket; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond Hoyas and Grace Hummel.
VISITATION will be Friday 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W. PAWTUCKET - Edilia Vasconcelos (Spinola) 80, of Pawtucket died Nov. 5, 2010. She was the wife of the late Abraham Soares.
She was born in Brava, Cape Verde Island a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Lopes) Spinola.She came to this country 37 years ago settling in Pawtucket.
She is survived by 5 daughters Joana DePina of Rumford, Maria DaSilva of Pawt.,Deolinda DaFonseca of Cape Verde, Adelina Soares of Hawaii and Victoria Soares of Atlanta, GA. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mother of the late Manuel and Ann Soares. Sister of the late Vasco, Joao and Jose Spinola.
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 am from the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church High St. Pawt. Calling Hours Tuesday 5-9 pm. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery Providence.

PAWTUCKET - Raymond A. Trudel, 84, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.
He is survived by Gertrude Marie Trudy (Moreau) Trudel, his wife of sixty-one years; by his four children, Ronald Raymond Trudel, MD and his spouse Linda (Brown) Trudel, MD of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kenneth David Trudel and his spouse Carol Ann (Gosselin) Trudel of North Smithfield, Gail Marie Ciresi-Sylvia, M.Ed, RN of Cranston and Glen Peter Trudel, Esq. and his spouse LeeAnn Hillary (Sakowski) Trudel,PhD of Wilmington, Delaware. Raymond has also left a legacy of a dozen grandchildren and very recently, one great-grandson.
Born in Pawtucket in 1925, Raymond served in the United States Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Marianas Islands/Guam as a special artificer in optics. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he attended the Henry Ford School in Dearborn, Michigan and became a master craftsman in moldmaking and tool making. He returned to Rhode Island, settled with his wife Gertrude first in Central Falls and then permanently in Pawtucket, and worked for Davol Rubber Company in Providence and Cranston for over 37 years, retiring in 1988.
Raymond was a devoted husband and father, and a faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church, where he served as an usher for decades and volunteered for several Catholic Charity fundraising campaigns over the years.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home,1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. CENTRAL FALLS - Josephine M. Beauchemin, 89, of Central Falls, died Thursday. She was the wife of Oliva "Bushy" Beauchemin and the late Ambrose Luoni.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Marcin and Constance Padykula. She is also survived by her daughter Joanne Socci and her husband Tony of Glocester,grandson Michael Socci and his wife Dana of Cumberland, granddaughter Julianna Socci of Glocester, sisters, Irene Lopes and Helen Dumont of Cumberland and Mary Kosowski of Pawtucket, and nieces and nephews. She was the step-mother of Rev. Ronald Beauchemin of Attleboro , MA, Susan Walker of Lincoln, Jane Bedard of Pawtucket, Normand Beauchemin of Lincoln and Roland Beauchemin of Ohio,10 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Josephine loved to sew for everyone and made many outfits and costumes for church minstrel shows, plays and shows that she and her husband, Bushy, participated in. Josephine was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed cooking her delicious pierogies and golumbkis for her family. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She and her husband, Bushy, were very active in their church and to many charities for the poor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St.,Central Falls . Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. John F. Grieve

PAWTUCKET: John F. "Jack" Grieve 67, died unexpectedly on November 6, 2010. He was the devoted husband of Patricia(Flynn) Grieve.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Archiebald and Catherine (McDade) Grieve. He was a lifelong Pawtucket resident.
He had been employed by Motorola for 30 years and after his retirement worked for RI Resource Recovery.
Jack was a dedicated Communicant of St. Mary Church, a Boy Scout Leader, Men's Association member,and a member of the school Board for Woodlawn Catholic Regional School. He was a longtime Baseball coach for Woodlawn Little League. Jack was also a member of RI State Democratic Committee and member of the Army National Guard.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Kerrie Mendes and her husband Paul, Lorie Levesque and her husband Allen, a son, Kevin Grieve and his wife Paula,three brothers, Donald, Steven and David Grieve, a sister, Patricia Mulvey and several nieces and nephews. He was the loving "Papa" of Ethan and Emma Mendes.
