Robert E. Bouffard

Robert E. Bouffard, 75, of 796 Hampton Rd, Pomfret Center CT and formerly of New Port Richey FL died Wednesday at the UMass-Memorial Healthcare Center, Worcester, MA. He was the husband of Barbara E. (Lewis) Francisco Bouffard formerly of Pawtucket now of Pomfret Center.
Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Arthur and Hattie (Clement) Bouffard and had lived in Attleboro, and New Port Richey, FL before moving to Pomfret Center in October.
He was a retired Electrician working for Raytheon of Andover, MA for 28years. He was proud of his work at Raytheon on the Patriot Missal for the Gulf War. He loved his cat Pal.
Besides his wife he is survived by four brothers, Joe Bouffard of Spring Hill, FL, Donald Bouffard of Springville, TN, Jerry Bouffard of Summerville, ME, Mike Bouffard of Pawtucket;; three step-daughters, Melinda Smith, Tina Dessert and Arminda Hudon, and four grandchildren Arminda and Michael Smith, Mitchell and Marshall Hudon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in the CHEETHAM MORTUARY INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery.
Relative and friends are invited and may call on Saturday morning from 10 to11. Please omit flowers.
Jeanne M. Martin

ALBION - Jeanne M. Martin, 89, formerly of School St. Albion, died Sunday at Mt. St. Francis Health Care Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Louis P. Martin.
Born in Albion she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Clara (Lusignan) Robidoux. She was a lifelong resident of Albion.
Mrs. Martin worked as a supervisor for American Tourister and also at Berkshire Hathaway before retiring.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Golden Agers, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Albion Social Club and the Holy Family Christian Group. Jeanne enjoyed knitting, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Donald R. Martin, and his wife Rita, of Albion. She was the mother of the late Robert C. Martin. She was the sister of Cecile Lauzon of Albion, and Martha Cote of North Smithfield, and the late Joseph, David, Roger, Fernand, Antoine, Gerald, and Robert Robidoux. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Saturday at 7:45 am from the Menard - Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, School St. Albion. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8 pm. Seekonk - Margaret E. Cookson of Seekonk, MA and formerly of Pawtucket, RI died November 22, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Margaret devoted her life to her family and always had hugs and smiles to give. She loved nothing more than playing Yahtzee with her family and cards with her friends. She had a love affair for all things sugary sweet and a green thumb with Christmas cactuses.
She was the wife of the late Edward F. Cookson and was the daughter of the late Henry and Naomi Craik. Margaret was the sister of the late Barbara Shields, Emily Fournier, and Henry Craik. She is survived by her children David and his wife Linda of Seekonk, with whom she made her home; Diana of Pawtucket; James and his wife Beth of Rumford; and Patricia Banfield of Mountain Home, AR. She was the proud Grandma of 7 great grandchildren, with 3 more on the way, and 5 grandchildren: Michael Cookson, Nancy Patalano, Jen Cookson, Matt Cookson, and Shannon Lewis. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Raymond's Church, 1240 North Main St., Providence. Interment will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Alice S. (von Dembowski) Battersby

Alice S. (von Dembowski) Battersby of Millard Road and formerly of Pawtucket died Sunday 10 days shy of her 100 th Birthday at the Madonna Manor, North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Clarence Battersby.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a resident of the city for over 86 years living most of that time on Appleton Avenue. She was the daughter of the late Maryan L.K. and Stacia (Pietz) von Dembowski. She was a Bookkeeper for the former Pawtucket Redi Mix Co. for many years and later worked in the Treasurers' Office for the City of Pawtucket for 15 years. Alice was a long-standing member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Seekonk.
She is survived by one sister Barbara G. Hawe of Sandy Utah, a sister-in-law Audrey Dillon and her husband Jack of Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Norbert J. and Joseph von Dembowski, Cora W. Miller, Jenny Gingras, Irene Bowden and Dorothy Fleming.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Saturday at 10:00am in the CHEETHAM MORTUARY 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket followed by a Funeral Service at 11.00am. Adeline T. (McCormick) Chappell

Adeline T. (McCormick) Chappell, 89 of Fuller Street died Tuesday at the West Shore Health Center. She was the wife of the late William S. Chappell.
Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Adeline (Livingston) McCormick.
Surviving are two daughters; Carole and her husband Peter Skeffington of Riverside and Pat Valletta of Warwick. Five grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one sister Mary Mancini of North Providence. Mrs. Chappell was the grandmother of the late Kathy Ayers and sister of the late Matthew and Daniel McCormick and Rita Chappell.
A Prayer Service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held Saturday at 11:00 am with visitation to follow until 1:00pm at the CHEETHAM MORTUARY 1012 Newport Avenue Pawtucket. Francis Fappiano

Francis Fappiano, October 3 2009, passed away in the loving embrace of his son, Lawrence and wife Bobbie at their home in Little Compton, where he had been living for the past three months due to illness. He was born in Waterbury CT. He is the son of the late Leo and Rose (Testa) Fappiano.
Francis graduated from Quinnipiac College and Indiana University, followed by spending a year at Harvard University for the US Army. He served in WWll stationed in Paris, France, where he met his wife the late Elisabeth (Gaudelut) Fappiano. He served throughout the War in France and London reaching the rank of Colonel. He was the Vice President of the former Crantex of New York, which was a subsidiary of Cranston Print Works of RI.
Surviving besides his son Lawrence and wife Bobbie (Coyle) Fappiano are two sisters, Gloria Longo of CA and Lucille Ciullo of CT. Several nieces and nephews of three generations. Many national and international friends whom he loved beyond words. Francis was predeceased by three sisters: Connie Desmond, Edythe McLarney and Mary Rinaldi. Lawrence and Bobbie are so appreciative and cherished the kind and compassionate care given to Francis while at St Ann's Hospital by the doctors, nurses and staff before his return home to Little Compton.
The Funeral will be held Friday from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY 1012 Newport Avenue Pawtucket beginning at 9:00am. Procession to St Catherine of Siena Church Little Compton will begin at 11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm followed by a graveside burial with Military Honors at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery. Wife of Philip G. Dorr Jr. Mother of Allison J. Dorr of Canton and Caroline L Dorr of Medfield. Sister of Edward McGovern and Martha Reagan. Daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Gormley) McGovern.
Virginia was employed as a CNA for the Circle of Care of MA and an alumnus of Emmanuel College class of 1974.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday in St Margaret's Church 1098 Pawtucket Ave. Rumford. RI. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery East Providence. Kathy Therrien 48, 0f 1295B Somerset Ave., Dighton, MA and formerly of Seekonk died Thursday at the Highlander Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Fall River.
She was born in Pawtucket, RI, a daughter of Roland L. Therrien of Seekonk, MA and the late Gloria M. (Oliveria) Therrien.
She leaves one sister, Lorraine Therrien of Dighton, and three brothers David Therrien and Scott Therrien both of Seekonk and Gary Therrien of Comberland, RI.
The private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the family lot in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
M. Dorothy "Dot" (Hall) Kilmartin

M. Dorothy "Dot" (Hall) Kilmartin, died Thursday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Kilmartin. Born in Millville, MA she was the daughter of the late Stephen Walter Hall and Alice T. (Affleck) Hall.
Surviving are four loving sons : Stephen F. Kilmartin and his wife Maria, Peter F. Kilmartin and his wife Kristine all of Pawtucket. Michael Kilmartin of Wakefield, RI and Paul F. Kilmartin and his wife Pamela of Milton, FL. Mrs. Kilmartin was the cherished grandmother of Brendan M., Kara, Michael and their mother Lori, Colleen and Kelly and their Mother Mary, and Cailtin M. Kilmartin. She is also survived by several nieces and one nephew.
The family are honoring Dorothy's wishes and calling hours are respectfully omitted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church of Holy Family Parish 195 Walcott St. Pawtucket to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Mt St Mary's Cemetery.

Paul Albert Lapinski, 69, of Pawtucket died Sunday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Rose Rosianne (Gauthier) Lapinski to whom he was married for 31 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John J. and Margaret (Tierney) Lapinski. Paul served as a US Marine with the Marine Detachment on the USS Boston. He received his BA from the University of Rhode Island in 1975.
Paul worked as an Information Technology Professional for over 40 years and began his own computer consulting business in 1988 working primarily as a Computer Programming Consultant for the Acushnet Company, Fairhaven MA.
Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Paul Scott Lapinski and his wife Carolin of Newton, MA, two daughters, Jennifer Murphy and her husband Charles of Weymouth, MA, Allison Sullivan and her husband William of Pembroke, MA, two sisters Carol Paradis of Providence and Sharon Tierney of Newport, three grandchildren Joe, Eric and Craig. He was the brother of the late John Lapinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM in the Parish of Blessed Pope John Paul II, St. Cecilia Church 750 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.

John F. "Sam" Babiarz

John F. "Sam" Babiarz, 92, husband of the late Josephine (Wollen) Babiarz, died Saturday, October 29th. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Keilbasa) Babiarz.
Mr. Babiarz was a Machinist for Leesona Corp and Brown & Sharp retiring in 1981.
Sam was a Eucharist Minister for the former Sacred Heart Church for over 30 years. He held membership in the American Legion and enjoyed gardening, bowling and traveling with the Royal Travelers.
Surviving are one daughter Deborah Gilchrist and her husband John "Jack" of Pawtucket and two grandchildren, Richard Gilchrist of New Jersey and Heather Gilchrist of Florida. Mr. Babiarz was the brother of the late Josephine Gendron, Mary Auger, Pauline Trahan, Buddy Parent, Jennie Eastwood, Della Golomboski and Rita Joyce.
The Funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00am from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY, 1012 Newport Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Consolation Church of Holy Family Parish, Sabin Street, at 10:00am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday morning 8:00-9:00am.

John Patrick Hayden

John Patrick Hayden, 64, of 2220 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, died December 8, 2011. He was born in Providence the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Leahy) Hayden. John was a graduate of Cumberland High School and attended Dean Jr. College. He was a retired Assistant Engineer for the State of Rhode Island.
He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two brothers and their spouses, Edward and Carolyn Hayden of Port Orange, Fl, Terrance and Janet Hayden of Williston, VT, four nephews and their spouses and eleven grand nieces and nephews and his best friend Nipper.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27th at 10 AM in the CHEETHAM MORTUARY INC., 1012 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 9AM-10AM. Please omit flowers.

Norman R. Ponton, Sr. , 48, of 107 Rathbun Street died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Debra M. (Worsley) Ponton to whom he was married for 31 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he is a son Gilbert R., Ponton Sr. of Central Falls and the late Beatrice (Stay) Ponton. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan and a former member of the Saturday Night Mixed Bowling League at East Providence Lanes.
Besides his wife and father, he leaves a son, Norman R. Ponton, Jr. at home, one brother Gilbert R. Ponton, Jr. and a sister Lisa Rawson both of Central Falls and another sister Cheryl Lubbeck of Arizona.
