SEEKONK – Hazel (Ferreira) Greene, 87, formerly of Mabel Dr., died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013. She was the wife of the late Marmaduke "MK" "George" Greene.
Born July 29, 1926, at home in Seekonk, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Silva) Ferreira.
She is the mother of James Ferreira and his wife Helen of Seekonk, Kenneth Greene also of Seekonk, and George Greene and his wife Tina of Ivoryton, CT. Hazel is the sister of Joseph Ferreira of Barrington, Marion Ferreira of Jamestown, Anna Perry of Seekonk, and of the late Rose Ferreira, Margaret Sousa, Emily Costello, Manuel Ferreira, Jessie Cabral, Tony Ferreira, Augustine Ferreira and Mary Axile. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, James Jr., Sherry, Stephanie, Victoria, Jenna, Misty and Kenneth Jr. and 10 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will begin Thursday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5-8pm.
Angelina F. Pacheco

PROVIDENCE – Angelina (Calouro) Pacheco, 88, formerly of Fox Point Manor, died Saturday evening, Oct. 19, 2013 at the Evergreen House. She was the wife of the late Jose M. Pacheco.
Born March 3, 1925, in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Jorginia (Costa) Calouro. She worked at the RI Hospital for 20 years before retiring.
She was the mother of two daughters Berta Pacheco of Cranston, Fernanda Corriea of Oakdale, CA, and four sons, Carlos Pacheco of Cranston, Armando Pacheco of Cranston, Jose Pacheco of Sao Miguel, Azores, and the late Arthur Pacheco. She leaves 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She was also the grandmother of the late Domenic Pacheco.
Her funeral will begin Wednesday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with at Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8pm.
Christiano T. Barbosa

Barbosa, Christiano T., age 18, died October 24, 2013 at RI Hospital. Born in Hyannis, MA, he was the beloved son of Christiano and Shannon Barbosa of East Providence.
His life was full of purpose, his soul exuding with passion, his mind always in pursuit, and his heart overflowing with love. What remains with us is his spirit: beautiful, vibrant and still flowing with much life. Those who knew him will never forget him and those who did not will learn of him through our memories.
Christiano was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 2013, and was a student at Bryant University. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing volleyball, eating any type of food and making people laugh. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his siblings: Gabriella, Brian and Nathaniel Barbosa, all residing in East Providence. He leaves his grandparents: Susan McGuire, John McGuire, Antonio Monteiro and Paula Gayle, as well as his honorary grandparents, Alan and Wiss Andrews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday at 11AM at Faith Christian Center, 95 Sagamore Road, Seekonk, MA. Burial will be at Rumford Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 4-8PM, in the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
Delor "Dean" Cabral

PROVIDENCE - Delor "Dean" M. Cabral, 78, of Ontario St., passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence surrounded by his children. He was the beloved father of Robert Cabral of Malibu, CA, Deana M. (Cabral) Eva of Providence and Isabella Pena also of Providence, son of the late Manuel & Silvinia (Macedo) Cabral.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal on May 3, 1935 he immigrated to America at an early age and settled in Providence where he eventually opened Dean's Variety, worked as a Deputy Sheriff and ran for State Representative, he also served in the US Air Force Military Police.
Dean will be forever remembered by those whom he loved and those that love him. Besides his children he is survived by his brothers, Norbert and his wife Elizabeth of Seekonk, Robert and his wife Cecilia of Fox Point, his sister Ida and her husband Ken McKenna also of Fox Point, his granddaughter Sierra Nicole Eva, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was also the brother of the late Lena and Julieta.
His funeral will begin Saturday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Military honors and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8pm.

Elsie Montaquila, age 91, of Goldsmith Ave., died October 30, 2013 at the Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred A. Montaquilla. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Silva) Rebello.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Maria Montaquila, her 2 grandchildren, Lonnie and Eric Montaquila, 3 step grandchildren, Sean and Stephen Kiley and Amy Gemma and 4 great step grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Theresa Dumican, Louise M. Rezendes and Lydia Michael.
Her funeral will begin on Monday at 10AM from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will be in Santa Maria Del Campo Cemetery in Barrington. Viveiros, Joseph P., age 95, of East Transit St., died October 25, 2013 at Briarcliffe Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria E. "Connie" (Souza) Viveiros. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Antonio P. and Anna (Viveiros) Viveiros.
He was a boat builder and a carpenter for many years. He was a WWII veteran and served with the US Army. He is survived by his son Joseph A. Viveiros of Rumford, his daughter and caregiver Ann Lombardo of Providence and Constance Reilly of FL, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters. He was the brother of the late Mary Veiga, Sofia Tavares, Ida White, Louise Carpenter, Marion Lema, Diana Souza, Manuel, Antonio and Francisco Viveiros.
His funeral will begin on Tuesday morning at 9AM from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI. EAST PROVIDENCE – Julia (Maciel) Andrade, 88, of Hazelwood Ave., died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Andrade.
Born Nov. 8, 1924, in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Julia (Vieira) Maciel. She was a communicant of St. Martha's Church.
She was the sister of the late Mary DeChristofaro, Virginia Daly, and Manuel, Frank, Anthony, Arthur, Edward and Raymond Maciel. She leaves several nieces and nephews, including Judith Brusie and David Daly.
Her funeral will begin Thursday at 10am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Martha's Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., East Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday morning, 9am until 10am.

EAST PROVIDENCE – Maria Jesus (Silva) Sousa, 55, of 97 Orchard St., entered eternal rest surrounded by her family, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at the RI Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1958, in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel Borges DaSilva and Maria do Carmo Pacheco Canejo of Ribeira Grande, Azores.
She leaves her children, Michael S. Sousa and his wife Diane, Anna M. Sousa and Cathy Sousa all of East Providence; her grandchildren, Mikayla, Michael, Aydan, Ariana and Joseph; and her loving companion Jose Pires. She was also the sister of Manuel DaSantos Pacheco DaSilva of Canada, Duarte Pacheco Canejo of Portugal, Jose Antonio Pacheco Canejo of the Azores, Fernando Canejo Silva of the Azores, Mario Jorge DaSilva of Canada, Maria do Rosario Silva Furtado of the Azores, Mariano DaSilva of Canada and Gilberto Canejo Silva of the Azores; and many nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Jose Leite Sousa preceded her in death.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and had a deep commitment to the Portuguese faith traditions. Maria was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed caring for everyone who was in need or near to her. She was a dedicated employee of the RI Hospital for 26 years.

Smithfield - Mary M. (Machado) Carosi, 93 of Smithfield passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward Carosi.
Born June 23, 1920 in Sao Miquel, Azores. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Roselina (Costa) (Machado) and step-daughter of the late Manuel Gaspar. Mrs. Carosi worked as an assembler for various Jewelry Companies in Rhode Island for over fifty years. She was a member of Sons of Italy Lodge of Victoria in Providence and the Masons Lodge in Pawtucket.
She leaves one son, Joseph E. Carosi of Bristol, R.I., two daughters, Gloria M. Carosi of North Providence, Anita (Carosi) Acompora of Jamestown, Six grandchildren, Alicia Hale, Tania Carosi, Karen Silas, Kim Carosi, Lori Lazzerechii, Joseph Acompora.
She was the sister of the late, Dorothy "Dot" Toolin, Angelina Hollis, John Gaspar, Manuel Gaspar, James Gaspar.
Her Funeral will begin Friday, November 8, 2013 at 8:45 am from the Rebello Funeral Home 901 Broadway, East Providence Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be private.

Rosemary P. Mateus, age 64, of Wickenden St., Providence, died October 29, 2013 at RI Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roy Mateus.
Born July 19, 1949, in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Albertina (Oliveira) Pacheco.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Anne Marie Mateus, David and Loredana Mateus all of East Providence; her sister Alice Petricone of N. Providence, her brothers Gilbert Pacheco of Sao Miguel, Azores and Joe Pacheco of Providence; her sister-in-law Aida Pereira of Providence and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joseph L. Mello, Jr., age 47, formerly of Seekonk, died November 19, 2013, after a long illness. He was the husband of Lori (Travers) Mello of Pawtucket. Born in Providence, he was the son of Joseph L. Mello Sr. of West Warwick and Maria B. (Rosa) Mello of Riverside.
Joseph had worked as a home infusion therapist for Clinical IV Network for 18 years.
He was the loving father of Joseph L. Mello III of Fall River, MA, Jennifer Elizabeth Mello of Seekonk and Jake Edward Mello of Cranston. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Luciann and James Conti of Riverside; his nieces and nephews; Anthony, Carolyn, Lillian and James. He is survived by his former wife Priscilla Mahler of Seekonk, his stepmother Cidalia Mello of West Warwick and his stepfather Edward Trevitt of Riverside.
