Anita (Cardin) Garon

Anita (Cardin) Garon, 95, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was the wife of the late John R. Garon. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Hilda (Laterbusch) Cardin.
Mrs. Garon was employed as a clerk for Gracious Living for 27 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Garon, Peter Garon and Arthur Garon all of Cumberland; daughters Rita Turner of Tampa, FL, Maryjane Wink of Lincoln and Doris Boynton of Tacoma, WA; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Raymond Garon, Ernest Garon and Steven Garon and the sister of the late Ernest and Norman Cardin, Antoinette Smith and Jeannette Myers.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 7:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Avenue, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8 pm.

Marcel L. Bouthillette

Marcel L. Bouthillette, 90, of Lincoln, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Hospice. He was the husband of the late Eileen (Dooley) Bouthillette. Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Gaston and Melanie (Tellier) Bouthillette.
Mr. Bouthillette was the founder of Intercity Contracting, Inc. and Service Contracting, Inc. He was an Army veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lincoln Council and was an avid aviator and sportsman.
His son Kevin and his wife Ann Marie Bouthillette of Blackbird Farm, Smithfield; his daughter Karen K. Bouthillette of Oak Bluffs, MA; his sister Aline Gagnon of Cumberland; grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon and Troy Bouthillette and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Norman, Raymond, Roul and Roger Bouthillette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, Front St., Lincoln. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Manville. A receiving line will be held at the church from 9-10 am.

Judith L. Beauchemin

Judith L. Beauchemin, of Lincoln, died Monday, October 6, 2014 at Boston Medical Center, Boston. She was the wife of Normand R. Beauchemin. They had been married 42 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Roland H. and Ruth M. (Collins) Jergensen.
Mrs. Beauchemin received her Master in Education degree from Rhode Island College in 1973. She had been employed as a medical assistant for Anchor Pediatrics until her retirement.
Besides her husband she is also survived by her son Brandon and his wife Melissa Beauchemin of Lincoln; her daughter Shannon and her husband Kevin Crotty of Georgetown, TX; her brother Glenn P. and his wife Helen Jergensen of Wellington, FL; grandchildren Oliver and Claire Beauchemin and Tatum and McKenna Crotty.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at LaSalette Shrine Church, 947 Park St., Attleboro, MA

Edward J. Sullivan

Edward J. Sullivan, 88, formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Village at Waterman Lake. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Burns) Sullivan.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Werbicki) Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Providence, and received a Bachelor of Arts from The College of The Holy Cross graduating also as a United States Naval Officer 1st Lieutenant, and subsequently serving in the South Pacific in WWII. He was a member of the Order of the Purple Knights honoring his more than 50 year membership in The College of the Holy Cross Alumni Association. Mr. Sullivan received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He was a chief financial officer for Uniroyal before retiring in 1988.
Mr. Sullivan was a long-time parishioner of Saint Patrick Church in Cumberland, RI. He was an active member of the parish serving as President of the Holy Name Society and spending many years leading the financial efforts for the annual summer carnival held at Saint Patrick's. He was an avid sports fan following professional teams and more proudly those of his children and grandchildren. Mr. Sullivan loved his summer vacations with his family in the mountains in New Hampshire or at the beach in Little Compton, RI.
He was the beloved father of Christine Bell and her husband Thomas of Glocester, RI; Michael Sullivan and his wife Elaine of Attleboro, MA; Patrick Sullivan and his wife Debra of Boston, MA: and Kevin Sullivan and his wife Christine of Lincoln, RI. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren; Meghan Bell, Ryan Bell, Brendan Bell, Erin McCoy (Sullivan), Brian Sullivan, Cara Gilman (Sullivan), Rory Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan, James Sullivan, Bridget Sullivan and Kathleen Sullivan, and 3 great-grandchildren; Claire McCoy, Graham McCoy and Molly Sullivan, and his sister Barbara Brennan of Cranston, RI. He was also the brother of the late Nancy Hyland.
His funeral will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 8:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave. Lincoln, RI. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours are Sunday from 5-7pm.

Jeanne Banville

Jeanne Banville, 74, of The Villages of Lady Lake, FL died January 30, 2015 with her family at her side. Born in Central Falls, RI, she and her husband Raymond lived in Lincoln until they moved to The Villages of Lady Lake in 1997.
She is survived by Raymond, their sons Michael and Marc, and their spouses, Sean and Meta, respectively. In addition, she has many family and friends in New England, Florida, Chicago and California.
Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother and a dear friend to many both in Rhode Island and in The Villages of Lady Lake and it's nearby communities. She was part of The Village’s Rhode Island Club, serving on its board for a number of years, and was active in The Village’s garden, food and photography clubs as well as Red Sox Nation. She loved dancing, painting and experimenting with new recipes.
Jeanne’s passion for the past 25+ years however was travel. She graduated from the Travel School of America in Boston, MA and held numerous certifications from the Dale Carnegie Institute and several boards of tourism, such as Australia and Scotland. She was the owner of the Spunky Ladies and Travelers, LLC travel group. She created a diverse community of friends and engaging travel adventures for her Spunky Ladies and their companions to places near and far. Her favorite trip of all was her 70th birthday trip visiting the lavender fields of northwestern Washington.
Two sets of services will be offered to celebrate Jeanne’s life. The first will be held in Lady Lake, FL with Rhode Island services to be held at a later date, yet to be determined. Florida services will begin with calling hours on Friday, February 6 from 4-6 PM at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematorium, 134 North Highway 27/441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 10:30 AM at St. Timothy Church, Lady Lake, FL. Online condolences can be left at www.beyersfuneralhome.com.

Celia L. Hamel

Celia L. Hamel, wife of the late Joseph R. Hamel, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, February 5th. Born in Attleboro on September 16, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Mary (Bessette) Fredette.
Celia lived in Pawtucket and Central Falls before moving to Lincoln in 1980. She worked at Uniroyal in Woonsocket and ER Hutchinson in Pawtucket before retiring in the 1990’s. She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls.
Celia enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was happiest when she was helping someone, especially her loving family.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Marcotte and her husband Charles, with whom she lived; her grandson Charles Hamel Marcotte and his wife Kerri of Attleboro, MA; and her grandson, Dr. Joseph Hamel Marcotte of Philadelphia, PA. She is also survived by her great grandson, Zachary Marcotte who brought great joy to her in her final years.
Celia was predeceased by her siblings Albertine Brown, Irene Sequeira, Emile Fredette, Claire Roy and Rita Malouin.
A celebration of Celia’s life will be held Saturday, February 7th, from 8:00-9:00 am at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Holy Spirit Church, 1030 Dexter St., Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Roland A. Palin

LINCOLN - Roland A. Palin, 89, of 10 Franklin St., Lincoln, died Saturday at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Estelle (Jacques) Palin.
He was born in Central Falls, a son of the late Oscar and Louise (Charpentier) Palin. He had lived most of his life in Pawtucket.
Mr. Palin was employed as a paint manager for Harris Lumber Co. of Providence for 28 years until his retirement in 1981. He also served as a caretaker for St. Cecilia Church in Pawtucket for many years. When he moved to Lincoln he volunteered his time at St. Jude Church.
He was a 1951 graduate of Tabbot Hubbard Business School. He was an aviation machinist's mate third class serving with the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Palin served six months with the CCC. He was a former member of the Eugene T. Lefebvre VFW Post #1271. He was a Eucharistic minister and usher at St. Cecilia Church and a former member of their prayer group.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Palin of Pawtucket, Roland A. Palin Jr. of Woonsocket, and Jean Palin of Limerick, ME, his brothers, Lionel Palin of Central Falls and Clarence Palin of Arizona, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late David and Jean Palin and the brother of the late Arthur Palin and Lillian Pelland. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St.Cecilia Church, Central Ave., Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Donations in his memory to RI Chapter of the March of Dimes, 220 West Exchange St., Suite 003, Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
