Karen M. Gagnon - Cumberland
Karen M. Gagnon, 46, of Cadoret Drive, Cumberland, died April 2 at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket.

She was the wife of Paul Gagnon. Born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Sherry) Drezek, she had resided in Cumberland for the past 18 years. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church in Cumberland. She worked for The Home Depot in South Attleboro, Mass., for the past 15 years. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Heather M. Gagnon and Ashley E. Gagnon, both at home.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor Brookline, MA 02445.

Katherine M. Faria - Cumberland
Katherine M. “Kay” (Langille) Faria, 89, of Old Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.

She was the wife of the late Albert Faria. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William A. and Lottie E. (Brundage) Langille, she had lived in Cumberland for most of her life and also had lived in Lincoln for 13 years. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School. Mrs. Faria was a mail carrier for Health-Tex in Cumberland before retiring. She was a member of Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, Cumberland, and a member of its choir for 65 years. She was a member of Limerock Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Star in Lincoln, the Limerockers of Lincoln and the International 1918 Club. She also was a member and chaplain of the Cumberland chapter of the AARP. She leaves a brother, Emery A. Langille of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dorothy E. Reichling.

Her funeral will be held Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. in Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, 690 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Faria’s memory to Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, 690 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland, RI 02864 would be appreciated.

Lena A. Belrose - Woonsocket
Lena A. Belrose, 91, of Clinton Street, formerly of Providence Street, Woonsocket, died March 22 at home.

She was the wife of the late Eugene P. Belrose. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Antoinette (Duplessis) Varieur. She was a spinner for several area textile mills, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Kennedy Manor Association, a former member of the Royal Travelers and an avid bingo player. She leaves a daughter, Georgette Oliveira of North Smithfield; two sisters, Therese Morrissette of Woonsocket and Madeleine Atangan in Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert Varieur and Annette Ayotte.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 27, at 9 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass.

Leo Mandeville - Smithfield
Leo Mandeville, 99, of Farnum Pike, Smithfield, died March 26 at Hebert’s Nursing Home.

He was the husband of Lillian (Thibault) Mandeville; they had been married for 67 years. Born in New Bedford, Mass., a son of the late Alexander and Agnas (LeBlanc) Mandeville, he had lived in Smithfield for 67 years. Mr. Mandeville was a weaver for 50 years, working in various local textile mills. He leaves his children, Irene T. Bedard and Yvette A. Lemire, both of Mapleville, Kathyrine M. Desjarlais of Smithfield, Troy L. Mandeville of Warren and Patricia E. Cook of Schenectady, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Raymond L. Mandeville.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial is in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Church, Smithfield, 02917.

Lisa A. Flynn - Woonsocket
Lisa A. Flynn, 44, of Pound Hill Road, North Smithfield, formerly of Woonsocket, died Friday, March 28 at home.

Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of Richard L’Esperance, Woonsocket Fire Department, retired, of Woonsocket and Aline (Mercure) L’Esperance of Woonsocket, she was a resident of Woonsocket for most of her life until moving to North Smithfield several months ago. Mrs. Flynn worked as a sales associate for Gloria Stevens, the Woonsocket Health & Racquet Club as well as several other health clubs in the area for many years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and trips to the beach. Lisa was a devoted mother and her life centered around her children. In addition to her parents she leaves a son, Kenneth R. Armstrong, Woonsocket Fire Department, of Woonsocket; a daughter, Reilly S. Walters of Woonsocket; two sisters, Paula Budnick of Blackstone and Sharon Allard in Arizona; her companion, Gary Morrell of North Smithfield and her former husband, Vincent Flynn III of Seekonk, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Woonsocket Firefighters Relief Association, P.O. Box 395, Woonsocket, RI 02895.

Madeline Louise Aust - Smithfield
Madeline Louise Aust, 85, of Farnum Pike, Smithfield, affectionately known to many as “Gramma Maddy,” died peacefully March 29 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Libucha and the late F. Kenneth Aust. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Lessard) Giblin. Madeline was a communicant of St. Michaels Church in Smithfield where she was a former member of the Ave Maria Guild. She retired from North Safety Products in Cranston and had previously had worked at Welsh Manufacturing Company for many years. She loved to play Bingo and will be missed by her “Bingo friends.” She cherished the time spent with her loving family and especially enjoyed being with her great-grandchildren. She leaves her devoted daughter, Diane Boyorek and her husband Andrew of North Scituate; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Libucha of Glocester; her sister-in-law, Helen Giblin of North Providence; her cherished grandchildren who loved her dearly, Kimberly Mulcahy and her husband Mark, Erin McKenna, Shannon Melia and her husband James, and Brett and Erik Libucha; her precious great-grandchildren, Cameron and Garrett Mulcahy and Nicholas and Cassandra Libucha; and several nieces and nephews. She was the loving mother of the late Dennis Libucha and the sister of the late Margaret, Peter, Joseph and Alfred Giblin.

Arrangements are with Tucker-Quinn Funeral Home, 643 Putnam Pike, Greenville, where family will receive friends Thursday from 4-7 p.m. The funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Marie Macaruso - North Providence
Marie “Marianna” (Lisi) Macaruso, 101, formerly of North Providence, died peacefully March 22 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Anthony Macaruso Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Clementina (Viti) Lisi. She was retired from Armour Meat Packing. She leaves a daughter, Catherine LaPosta of Johnston; two sisters, Louise Lisi and Assunta DiOrio, both of North Providence; a brother, Frank Lisi of North Providence; and 10 loving grandchildren and 10 loving great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Anthony Macaruso Jr. and the sister of the late Salvatore, Anthony, Domenic, Louis, Thomas and Josephine Lisi, Pauline Ciccio, Victoria Ciorlano, Robert Rossi and Caroline DeFusco.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 27, at 10 a.m. from the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fruit Hill Day Care Center, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.

Peter J. Orlando Sr. - Woonsocket
Mr. Peter J. Orlando Sr., 86, of Woonsocket, formerly of North Smithfield, died March 25 at Landmark Medical Center.

He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret L.(Diomedes) Orlando. Born Oct. 2, 1921, in Woonsocket, a son of the late Saverio and Mary (Davito) Orlando, he was a North Smithfield resident for most of his life before moving to Woonsocket 10 years ago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Orlando was the owner and operator of the former Orlando’s Pizzeria on South Main Street in Woonsocket for 25 years. He was a member of the VW Post #6342 of Forestdale. He leaves two sons, Peter J. Orlando Jr. of South Attleboro, Mass., and Saverio “Sammy” J. Orlando of Woonsocket; a daughter, Joan Alexander of Foxboro, Mass.; a brother, Michael Orlando in New Jersey; two sisters, Ida Allard and Martha Rossi, both of Woonsocket; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Serio Orlando, John J. Orlando and Antoinette Bacon.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, Greene Street, Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Raymond Anthony Costa - Cumberland
Raymond Anthony Costa, 72, formerly of Cumberland, died March 23 at home.

Born Aug. 17, 1935, in Cumberland, the son of the late Anthony Costa and the late Loretta DeLisle, he had lived in Casselberry for the past five years and previously lived in Cumberland. He was the owner of R.A. Costa Cesspool Company for many years, was a Cumberland school bus driver and also dealt in real estate for many years. He was most of all an entrepreneur and worked in various industries. He leaves three daughters, Donna M Pagano of Hanover, Mass., Debra DiFonzo of Sanford, Fla., and Joanne Noviello of North Providence; a sister, Violet Kynch of Cumberland; his first wife and the mother of his children, Gina Costa of Cumberland; and three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 1, at 9 a.m. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Manville. Relatives and friends are kindly invited and may call Monday, March 31, from 4-8 p.m.

Rene J. Bibeault - Woonsocket
Rene J. Bibeault, 88, of Rhodes Avenue, Woonsocket, died March 25 at the Friendly Home.

Born in Pascoag, Mr. Bibeault was a son of the late Arthur and Marie (Cazelais) Bibeault. He was the caretaker for the Union Village Cemetery for many years, retiring in 1980. Mr. Bibeault leaves a sister, Marie J. Martin of Millville, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gerard, Arthur, Bernard and Conrad Bibeault, Vivian Shaffer, Doris Marini, Lorraine McBride and Theresa Barry.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre Sreet, Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, Mass. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8 p.m.

Ronald A. De Thomas - North Providence
Ronald A. De Thomas, 66, of North Providence and Narragansett, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 22, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.

He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Marandola) De Thomas. Born in Providence, he was the son of Anthony De Thomas of Providence and the late Rose (Miletta) De Thomas. He was the loving father of Lisa De Thomas of North Providence, Ronald De Thomas Jr. and his wife, Amy (McGovern) De Thomas of Richmond, R.I., and Stephanie De Thomas of Aventura, Fla. He was the proud “PaPa” of his four grandchildren, Sophia, Anthony, Nicholas and Arianna. He was the brother of James De Thomas and his wife Janice of Reston, Va. He also leaves several aunts and cousins.

Ronald was a graduate of Classical High School and Providence College. He was a loyal and dedicated P.C. basketball fan and an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Ronald began his career with the U.S. Treasury and went on to various other positions in the field of finance before establishing his private accounting practice in North Providence more than 30 years ago. Ronald was one of the founders of the second walk-in medical facility in the country, The East Providence Medical Center and remained co-owner and president of the company until his death. Ronald also was co-owner of Green Acres Country Day School in North Providence.

His funeral will be held Friday, March 28, at 9 a.m. from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 12 Spruce St., Providence. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 27, from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will be held at St. Joseph Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 12 Spruce St., Providence or to a charity of your choice.
