Marie D. Viens

Marie D. Viens, 90, formerly of 466 Hunt St, passed Thursday at the Oakland Grove Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Viens.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Marie E. (Nadeau) Foisy.
She had been a sacristant at the former Holy Trinity and Notre Dame Church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Cecile P. Cipriano of Mendon, MA, and Pauline R. Lynch of Cumberland, a son, Maurice H. Viens of North Attleboro, 14 Grandchildren and 24 Great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Theresa Boyer and Albert J. Foisy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30am from St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Florence S. McCormick

Florence S. McCormick, 95, passed Saturday at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John J. McCormick.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Clara (McHale)
Havey. Florence was a lifelong Pawtucket resident.
She was a former volunteer for the Leon-Matthews Center for many years and a longtime Communicant of St. Mary Church, Pawtucket.
She is survived by two daughters, Maureen Beauvais and her husband Leo of Pawtucket and Patricia Berkheimer and her husband Roger of Richmond, Virginia, four grandchildren, Jo-Ann Alix, Jason Berkheimer and Michele Berkeimer-Day and the late Annette Wysong, she is also survived by eight great grandchildren, a great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lucy Goyette, John, Phillip, Martin, Edward and Joseph Havey.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in St Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted; memorial gifts may be made to Hasbro Children's Hospital, 593 Eddy St, Providence, RI 02903.

Normand Plante, 80, passed Dec 26th, beloved husband of Jean (Martin) Plante, father of Normand R. Plante Jr. and Lisa Eckhardt.
Proprietor of the former Narr. Park Laundry, Pawt. with his late brother, Robert Plante.
Mass of Christian Burial, Jan 2nd at 11am in the Chapel of St. Antoine Nursing Home, Rhodes Ave, N. Smithfield. Burial will be private.
Fernanda Cipriano

Fernanda Cipriano, 66, of Henry St, passed Sunday with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of John Cipriano, they have been married for 47 years.
Born in Horta Faial, Azores, a daughter of the late Antonio Goncalves DaSilva and Maria Aurora Garcia.
She had been employed for 25 years by Hasbro Inc. of Central Falls before retiring in 1996.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son, John C. Cipriano and his wife Michelle of Central Falls, a daughter, Diane Sabatini of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, Casey Cipriano and Tony Cipriano, both of Central Falls, John Sabatini Jr. and Damien Sabatini, both of Pawtucket.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, High St, Pawtucket at 9:30am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
Dana Wright

Dana Wright, 26, of Providence was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on June 23, 1983 and died on Sunday, December 27, 2009 of complications associated with Marfan's Syndrome, a genetic disorder. She is survived by her mother Jennifer Irish, her father James Wright, her brother Jonathan Wright, her paternal grandmother Ann Wright, her maternal grandfather Carlton Irish and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her.
Dana came to Providence with her family at the age of 5, attended St. Paul's Catholic Elementary School and Feinstein High School. She went on to earn her bachelors degree at Rhode Island College in just three years and was listed in the 2004 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. While enrolled at RIC, she was an active member and elected officer of Harambe, a student run organization that organized and promoted multicultural events. A freelance writer and author, she was also a tireless advocate for the disabled. In 2004, Dana created the Access Challenge, an educational program with a mission of teaching disability awareness and the importance of handicap accessibility. She coordinated the Access Challenge for both Rhode Island College and Providence College.
Dana also created a website at www.MakingAccess.com to help people locate disability related resources and information. Her book Rolling With Nia Nia Can features a young girl in a wheelchair and was designed to promote love and acceptance among young children of those who are differently-abled. Dana received numerous awards for her efforts to help others including the Feinstein Scholarship for Community Service, the RI Young Professional of the Year Award and the YWCA's Women of Distinction Award.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of Life Church, 1860 Westminster Street, Providence. It was her wish that everyone attending wear something yellow in celebration of her life.

Nellie Robertshaw, 84, passed peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on December 31, 2009. She was the wife of the late Stanley Robertshaw. She migrated from Yorkshire, England in 1963 and settled in the Fairlawn section of Pawtucket.
Nellie is survived by 3 Daughters, Louise Nasfell of North Providence with whom she resided, Elaine Fregeolle and her husband Dennis of North Providence, and Wendy Perolli and her husband Edward of Cumberland, 6 grandchildren; Marlene Kumar and her husband Sasi of Lincoln, Wayne Fregeolle of North Providence, Glenn Nasfell and his wife Cheri of Pawtucket, Melanie DaSilva and her husband Jose of Lincoln, Corey Nasfell and his wife Kimberly of San Diego, California, and Michael Perolli of Cumberland; 6 great grandchildren, Ty DaSilva, Azure Nasfell, Skyla Nasfell, Andrew DaSilva, Meghan Kumar and Jayden Nasfell.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.

Raymond Farley

Raymond Farley, 53, passed Monday at the Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Central Falls, the son of Joan A. Palardy of Largo, Florida and the late Raymond F. Farley Sr.
Raymond was an avid New England sports fan and music enthusiast. He was a very active person until an automobile accident in Florida 24 years ago left him quadriplegic.
He is survived by two sisters, Cheryl Gothberg of North Smithfield and Dawn Megna of Smithfield, a brother, William Farley of Cumberland, two step brothers, Christopher Palardy of Woonsocket and Lonny Palardy of Largo, Florida, his step father Alphonse L. Palardy of Largo, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lori Kelley
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7pm followed by a service from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
Dennis R. Longtin

Dennis R. Longtin, 58, of Valley St, died Tuesday, January 19th at home.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Rene and Yvonne (Menard) Longtin.
He had been employed by John Crane Sealol of Cranston for many years.
Dennis was a longtime coach for the Central Falls Lions, an avid Yankees fan and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristen Imbeault of Pawtucket, three grandsons,
Glen Wirt, Evan Longtin and Ryan Imbeault all at home. He was the brother of the late Rita Longtin.
