Alice Sroka

Alice Sroka, 99, formerly of Coats Manor, passed peacefully December 16th. She was the wife of the late Charles Rattie and Paul Sroka Sr.
Born in Woonsocket, Alice was a daughter of the late Francois and Therese (Meyer) Lustenburger.
She is survived by a daughter, Claire L. Marty of Pawtucket, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marcel and Armand Lustenburger, Blanche Dorval and Jeanne Ladouceur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be private.
Steven Gomes

Steven Gomes, 34, of Courtland St, passed December 14th.
He was the son of Maria Gomes of Pawtucket and the late Eugenio F. Gomes.
He had worked for St. Joseph Hospital.
Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Yesenia Gomes, a sister, Jeanne Gomes, a brother, Eugenio L. Gomes and his wife Carla, and his godson, Terrell Gomes.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St, Providence at 10:00am.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Friday 5-8pm.
Rick Dubois

Rick Dubois, 47, passed Dec 11th, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kim Dubois.
He was the son of Natalie Dubois of Fall River and the late Richard W. Dubois Sr.
Rick was a thirteen year member of the Seven Sins Motorcycle Club of Johnston.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a sister, Sandy Curry, two step daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, and a granddaughter, Natalya.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 19th from 12 to 4pm, with a service at 4pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Flowers are respectfully omitted, Burial will be private.
Irene E. Remy

Irene E. Remy, 84, of Mendon Rd, passed peacefully December 8th at home. She was the wife of Lionel Remy; they had been married for 61 years.
Born in Lincoln she was the daughter of the late Frank P. Cullen and granddaughter of Mary Gibeault. Irene lived most of her life in Central Falls.
She had been employed by the former Paramount Cards for 29 years. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Matthew Parish, now called Holy Spirit Parish; a former member of the Golden Agers, the Women's Club and also had served as a Girl Scout leader.
Besides her husband she is survived by several cousins including Sr. Ann Gibeault, SSJ.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church, Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Relatives and are friends invited. Calling hours Friday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Trudy (A'Vant) DaCruz

Trudy (A'Vant) DaCruz, 50, passed peacefully.
Trudy was the daughter of Gertrude A'Vant and the late Juanito A'Vant.
She is also survived by 5 sons, Ptlm. Alberto DaCruz PPD, Trp. Amoncio DaCruz RISP, Michael DaCruz, Frank DaCruz, Avant Hazard and daughter, Savannah DaCruz.
12 siblings, Joseph A'Vant, Det. Sgt. John A'Vant RISP, Anthony A'Vant, Det. Angelo A'Vant PPD, Dominic A'Vant, Deborah A'Vant, Claudia A'Vant, Linda A'Vant - Deishinni, Mary A'Vant - Blinkhorn, Theresa A'Vant - Antonio, Catherine A'Vant-Fowler and Serena A'Vant White. She was the sister of the late Candy A'Vant.
She leaves 36 nieces and nephews and many relatives.
The Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, 4 pm to 8 pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church, 144 Smith St, Providence at 10:00am. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
Ann Mary (Converse) Turcotte

Ann Mary (Converse) Turcotte, 68, of Cowesett Rd, passed Sunday at the West View Health Care Center. She is reunited with her husband of 47 years, Richard Turcotte.
Born in Pawtucket, Ann was a daughter of the late Gerard and Ann (Carr) Converse.
She is survived by two sons, David Turcotte and his wife Gina, and Steven Turcotte and his wife Linda, two daughters, Nancy Gaidola and her husband Manuel, and Karen Wentworth and her husband David, all of Warwick, three brothers, Gerard Converse of Lutz, FL, William Converse of Pascoag, RI, and John Converse of Cumberland, two sisters, Joan Theroux of Cumberland and Kathleen Woodcock of Pawtucket, eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln followed by a service at 7pm. Burial will be private in Mt St Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Mary Ferrucci, 89, passed Thursday at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre. She was the wife of the late Arthur Ferrucci.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Antonette Libucha and her husband Dan of North Providence and Donna Rajotte of Lincoln, two grandchildren, Kym Libucha and Keri Schouten and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Anne Lamb and Gregory Marchuk.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call starting at 9am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence.

Ralph J. Rego, 72, of Forand Circle, passed Thursday at the Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Betty (Amitrano) Rego.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Mary Rego.
He had been employed as a Cement Finisher for many years retiring due to illness and was a member of Cement Finishers and plasterers Local 40.
Ralph was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the Johnston Senior Center.
He is survived by 3 sons, Ralph Rego Jr. of Worcester, MA, Ronald Rego of Johnston and Garry Rego of NY, NY, 4 grandchildren; Anthony Rego of Cranston, Nichole Rego of Cranston, Alyssa Rego and Amanda Rego, both of North Providence. Services were private. Burial with military Honors were in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
