Barry W. Delgado, 56, of East Providence, born in Providence, a son of Eugenia "Jennie" and the late Anthony L. Delgado passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009.
He leaves behind a daughter, Adean "Buffy" Britto of Providence, a son, Barry W.D. Gaines of Providence, two sisters, Delores Delgado-Washam of Toledo, Ohio and Gloria Andrade of East Providence, seven grandchildren, Ronald, Adrean, Andrew, Andreka, Breanna, Marquis and Leandro. He was the brother of the late Anthony L. Delgado Jr. and Donald D. Delgado.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11am to 1pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, Burial will be private in Swan Point Cemetery.
Repast immediately following at the Cape Verdean Progressive Center, 319 Grosvenor Ave, East Providence RI.
Deborah DaLuz
November 2, 2009
Deborah DaLuz, 57, of 10 Franklin Street, Lincoln, passed at the Memorial Hospital; she was the wife of George DaLuz.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Roland A. and Theresa (Gentes) Nadeau.
She had been employed as a Head Start Teacher in Providence for several years before retiring due to illness.
She was the founder of the Angel Tree Ministry at the Woodlawn Baptist Church and had also volunteered at area soup kitchens and food lockers.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters, Sandra Guglietti of North Providence and Cynthia Garned of East Providence, a brother, Bruce Nadeau of Providence and several nieces, nephews and great grandnieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lois Cecilio and aunt of the late Bruce Cecilio.
A prayer service will be held Saturday at 5:30pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private.
Mary Pluta
November 3, 2009
Mary Pluta, 77, formerly of Morris Ave, and presently residing at Blackstone Falls, passed peacefully Tuesday with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Frank Pluta; they have been married for 58 years.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Pacheco) Medeiros.
She had been employed by the former Pawtucket Dress Shop for many years than later worked at International Packaging.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Kevin Pluta of Cumberland, two sisters, Hilda Pimental of Pawtucket and Tillie Gibbons of Cumberland, two brothers, Anthony Medeiros of North Providence and Andy Medeiros of CT. She was the loving grandmother of Kaitlyn and Andrew. Mary was the sister of the late Edith Jorge.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd, Pawtucket at 9am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours Friday 4-7pm.
Donat J. Hamel

Donat J. Hamel, 86, of Byron Ave, passed Wednesday at the Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marguerite (Payette-Dusza) Hamel.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Ovila and Georgiana ( Caouette) Hamel.
He had been employed as a supervisor by Real and Reel for 49 years before retiring.
He was a WWII Veteran, serving during the Battle of the Bulge receiving a Purple Heart.
He is survived by nieces, nephews, sister in laws and dear friends.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
Louise Carlin

Louise Carlin, 102, formerly of Kilburn Ave, passed Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Frederick Carlin.
Born in New London, Ct, a daughter of the late Edward and Edwina (Fowler) Rogers.
Louise was a graduate of Sturdy Memorial Hospital’s Nursing Program. She worked as a private duty RN for many years; she later worked at the Jane Brown Unit of RI Hospital till her retirement.
She is survived by a son, David C. Carlin of Lincoln, four grandchildren, Debbie Carlin of Cumberland and Kelley Carlin of Melbourne, FL., Joseph Jamro of Fall River, MA, and Erica Jamro of PA., and a daughter in law, Donna Carlin of Pawtucket.
She was the mother of the late William F. Carlin and sister of the late Edwina Corcoran, Anna Pearson and Merrill Rogers and grandmother of the late William Carlin.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Marjorie M. Robertson

Marjorie M. Robertson, 72, of 19 Spruce St., Providence, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Robertson.
Born in Wakefield, July 11, 1937, she lived in Providence for 52 years. She was the daughter of Margaret Fayerweather of Providence.
Besides her mother, she leaves four daughters, Linda G. Monroe of Watertown, Conn., Robin M. Love of East Providence, Nina B. Robertson of Providence, and Lisa Robertson of Norwich, Conn.; five sons, Terrance L. Monroe of Seekonk, Mass., Bruce W. Monroe of Providence, Jeffery J. Monroe (Coach Jeff) of Cumberland, Thayer E. Monroe of Providence, and Michael S. Robertson of Fall River, Mass.; and the mother of the late Steven D., Nancy C., and April A. Monroe; 37 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She also leaves nine maternal brothers and sisters, Sandra Smith, Jane Cooley, Dawn Fayerweather Williams, Morris, Rodman, William, Lester, Thayer, and Stanley Fayerweather; and the late Linda Fayerweather Lopes and Nancy Fayerweather; four paternal brothers and sister, Theodore and George Prout, Bernice Moore and Leeann McLaughlin; and the late Donald, Joseph, Kenneth, Carl Prout, Brian Hall, and Grace Monroe.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Praise Tabernacle Church, 251 Magnolia St., Cranston.

Robert J. Curran Jr., 47, husband of Christine (Leighton) Curran, passed Sunday.
He was the son of Joan Curran of Providence and the late Robert J. Curran Sr.
He had been employed by Electric Boat for many years.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Jason Curran of Providence, a sister, Sherry Curran-Wira of Warwick, a brother, David Curran of Taunton, MA. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Jean DeVincenzo of Providence and a nephew Justin Wira.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 10am to Noon with a service at Noon from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave Lincoln. Burial will be private.
